The Lotus Vaporizer

Yeap... :p That would be ideal, though even the goose necks go out sometimes when you point the flame straight down. You can always tilt the Lotus forward nevertheless... :)

Yeah but the cap on the torch is getting in the way. The flame on this thing is weak so I have to get it real close to the plate but when I do that the cap of the torch hits it. Basically there's not enough clearance for the cap of the torch. That's why I'm torching it at an angle rather than straight down. I'm still getting clouds, I just dont think I'm doing it the way you're supposed to.

If you keep hitting the same bowl over and over will it stop producing visible vapor?
I thought I was doing something wrong because I was really scorching the last hit of the 1st bowl and I didn't get any visible vapor at all. No material blackened either though. Then I packed a fresh bowl, did the same thing, and got an enormous, tasty cloud. So is that how you tell when a Lotus bowl is done?? When it stops producing visible vapor?? That sounds like a weird question but I'm just used to the Solo which seems different in every way. I can keep getting visible vapor off one bowl for 30 minutes with the Solo, although it feels like a chore to do it.

Not a weird question at all mate! :)
The Lotus can go from very hot to very cold so you are the master of your load! Apply enough heat and you can finish the bowl in one hit. Take it slowly and keep your draws short and you can sip it throughout a whole movie if you wish. A load is done when you don't like the taste any more. That depends on the strain as well. Some, especially Sativas, will taste yak sooner ime. Now depending on your palate the ABV can be anywhere from very light brown to almost black brown. You are the judge of how thorough you want the extraction to be. YOU ARE IN TOTAL CONTROL with this little marvel of a vape!!! :D :D

EDIT: About vapour production... Since it can get very hot you can get visible vapour till you have a pretty black ABV... The taste suffers a lot though at that point, I only go there by accident during the last hit.

Someone should do a layer of bud with a layer of bubble hash with a dash of kief for me  I don't mind using a torch so I might get this for Christmas. I can't really seem to escape the appeal of wooden vaporizers. I'm on the list for a HI too!
Heres a video I made when I first got the lotus with herbs and kief, sorry no hash in this one.

I tried the left over material from the WPA that collects in the wpa , like hashy material but not real hash per say, and it freaking annihilated me, ridiculous clouds, and a narcotic high that made me feel 15 again:o:drool:

Im using it with a j-hook right now, I dont get my bub till friday

Are the 1st couple hits always wispy?
A bent neck lighter will change that , and believe it or not playing around with the flame adjustment and the flame distance made a huge difference.

This video was before I had refined my technique, now I dont torch so close ,its all done from further away and Get huge clouds but a few of them vs before Id get 1 huge hit before it was depleted.

Oh yeah,,

Here we go,

I got it down even with this shitty torch now

Blowin' some HUGE clouds!

I am feeling very confident in this purchase now that I got it down. Took about 3-5 loads but I can see myself taking this to the beach or anywhere for that matter when I can get a little away from people. My other portable is my PAX and while that does do the trick wonderfully I just feel like this vape hits me a lot harder. If I were to vape a whole pax load through the lotus I think I would be out for the count.

My material is coming out completely even and havent combusted yet and dont feel I ever will. I feel combustion would be very hard to achieve at least with the torch provided. I have a feeling this vape will grow on me more and more every day and I really enjoy the feel and weight of it as well, much heavier than I originally thought it was going to be. So far I see no reason why not to give this a solid 9 out of 10. This is my first day with it and Im already in love.
Oh yeah buddy,Iam glad you liked it.
I had a funny feeling you would find a place in your lungs for this bad boy!!!! The lotus strikes again!!!!!:rockon::tup::rockon:

Edit
This thing would be so awesome hiking, camping or the beach, I have one of those half beach tent thingy's and its perfect enough to toke right on the beach and no one knows it.

In the Lotus' case, the anodised aluminium stem doesn't leave any flavour signature to the vapour, don't mind that mate! ;)
The alu stem is a must for me due to it's durability...
@CheeseSandwich , sorry for your shipping problems mate... Did you at least got the latest WA version?
@VapeNStone , which lighter do you have? The cheap Honests are more than powerful for the Lotus... As well as the sleeks but their flame is not as tight imo.
I got that one that lighter that looks like a mini rig type torch. Seems even on full blast the flame doesn't get that big maybe a half an inch or so. I'll get a pic up once I get to an actual computer lol. I mean it works just doesn't seem to work as quickly as what I have seen?

@Quetzalcoatl Same as you for the HI. I find the lotus pretty similar in his qualities : fast, efficient, simplicity and versatility!

I said before I tried hash on a green bed and it worked perfectly! It's now my dedicated hash-vape but I still have to compare with Flashvape when I'll get it back. However I'm not excited at all to get back to batteries vape with such a wonderfull Lotus. I also tried pressed-kief on a second screen without any green and worked perfectly too!

Tonight I'll give a try to my BlackLeaf j-hook. Arrived at home and looks ok except the crazy bubbles line I have on it close from the curve.

Having my 1st wake n vape session with the Lotus and I must say it is working wonderfully. My tolerance is fairly low when I wake up so I like how I can just take 1 or 2 nice rips and put it down.

The flame on my torch doesn't get that big either.
How long of a flame are we supposed to use, or should that vary depending on other things?

edit: i just filled this lighter for the 1st time with the vector butane i bought and also removed the cap and it's working better. the flame is stronger and i'm not torching it from as much of an angle as i was before. and max said he's sending me a new one so that's cool too.

Here is a vid of me hitting some hash.

Don't mind me calling it a solo in the beginning. ;-) this was also before I really perfected my technique.

I found it at a Hookah store Lol

And in light of all these lotus Vids I've seen lately I decided to make my own. But it sucked LOL. So I made a better second one and here it is.

Guys, I have been using a space case grinder since I first bought my lotus. For the fun of it, I decided to bust out the grinder I bought for the Magic Flight Launch Box (for backbwhen I actually used it) tonight, specifically the walnut finishing grinder. What a difference! I was already beaming and gloating about my Lotus before, and now it is literally unparalleled in quality, flavor, and longevity of session. The clouds I am getting are so sick it's amazing, and I get 5 or 6 solid hits still. With how thick the clouds are I would assume I'd be spending the herb in about two bowls, no more than that. What an amazing piece.

Small flame for such a big unit... :p Get some cheap Honests from dx or elsewhere! They pack some serious punch and are quite reliable and durable. They last me all day long with some heavy usage! And I get vapour from the third second of heat applying usually... Not bad right?

I'm not impressed with those Honest lighter... But mine is already 6 months old at least so it could be the reason!
I've seen some others on DX with a larger tank like a barrel but I don't know if they are in fact larger in capacity?
I like the "clic-button" on VapeNStone one as mine honest lighter is becoming tricky.

Edit : Can a good torch jetflame, cheap in price, do the job right for heating a nail?

They are nothing impressive, I agree, they do their job for a long time nevertheless and cost nothing from dx... :) 6-10$ per year for some lighters and another 15$ for butane maybe, is not so shabby, right? Very minute yearly costs imo...

That's right, I'm ok with you they are so cheap I don't mind to buy it again. I was advised them by Vorange and it did a good job with heavy use during 6 months.
I'm just looking for some other maybe more reliable and thus the Honest were so good I fear to buy one at 10$ which will last shorter. I remember my first jetflame ordered for a pipe and died after 3 days = 15€ lost! So would love to have one with a bigger capacity to not have to refill everyday (envisage worst scenario situation).
