FROLIC by Limelight Herb

It wouldn't have bothered me but it was only after the cracking noise. Before that it was not like that.
But if you say that it is the same for you and Dejan says it is ok, I'm ok with it....the only question now is what was that intimidating sound? I hope it doesn't happen again.
Mines brand new just out the box and the bowl spins, is this normal then?

Could that also have just been your daughter?
If the noise had been thaaaaaat intimidating, I wouldn't use the Frolic anymore

As we have learned apparently yes. Maybe mine was just lazy and didn't want to move until now.

😂 While I can't explain the cracking sound, the spinning is completely normal, there's an oring in there which compensates for the tolerances of various components due to heat expansion and it's job is to be compressed more or less so in some cases the oven part resting on it might slip over it, doesn't affect anything.

Also, wanted to say, after this has been pointed out to me, I apologize if I come out as crude or even rude at times, I promise you, in no case do I mean anything bad in any way. It's a language and cultural thing. I mean Serbian has the most swear words of any known language so there's that.

The plot thickens 😆. I just checked and my bowl does not spin. The spinning bowl doesn't seem to affect operation for those that have it?

Ok...so maybe this oring broke and that was what I heard and felt....Possible?

Don't think an O-ring can break 😄. Enjoy the mod, everything is fine. If you really want to inspect it, get a screwdriver and take it apart. Actually I will do a video of this process tomorrow and show how easy it is to do.

My bowl does not spin. This thing is winning the reach test big time. Love the design of it, it’s nice to see a device in this space that has some attention to fit and finish. Been running it through a Prophet dry rig. Still dialing in AF, but this is a terrific vape.

I took my frolic apart to put a filter over the screen, and my bowl will move if I try it. It might sound stupid but did you have the MP seated completely? That's my only idea

Loving my Frolic. Tasty all the way until the end. Battery life is great too.

I messaged the company about two issues:
-Similar to someone else, my unit has a buzzing sound that pulses when in use. I believe there is a way to fix this.

-I received a “device too hot” message which caused it to auto shut off during a session. The other factors were
::the battery had been charging, got to maybe 75%. Pulled it out the external charger, and ran a session with a TM2 capsule. Did a second session, back to back with another capsule. That second capsule is when the message occurred. Turned it back on, and it happened again. Had to let it cool. This only happened one time, and I haven’t used the capsules since. May of been those, the battery, or unit.
Mine has quite a loud buzzing noise when the heater is in use. I just assumed this was normal but maybe not?

Please let me know when you hear back!

@Dejan LimelightHerb is this an issue or normal behaviour?

Not to question the quality of your flower but is there any chance a seed made it into your bud and it exploded in the bowl under heat?
Good idea but no, I can definitely rule that out.

Yes, the mouthpiece was really seated completely and the top of the bowl wouldn't rotate/move, but now it does, that's all I can say.

Even though I'm late to the party
You're not THAT late. I will be even later. Got my shipping confirmation mail on Friday afternoon - which is, of course, the worst possible time for a shipping notification since obviously nothing much is going to happen over the weekend, but the internal wait timer keeps ticking :-) Now it's Wednesday and Hermes in Germany has still not received a little package for me.

So I'll just have to keep re-watching Austyn's stream starting at 1:44:00 :-) for a little longer.

If anyone hasnt checked out the regular limelight website, and they like nice looking etc and wood and luxurious etc, they're missing out just on some visuals and some amazing what may come with the frolic, dejan has definitely said he wants to do stuff, but first is the main accessories etc.
I just checked it out, i thought all the stuff looked really... nice,in 1 word, idk im not really into the fancy ascetics part(yet), but im pretty sure tm firewood p80 enthusiast's would be very pleased, and maybe even nomad /toad enthusiasts too(at leasr art/ascetics wise)
Im not sure but i think i feel very excited for everyone and dejan for that aspect, i think people may be crazy happy with this vape in the future both in function and in materials/astetics
(Now too, but..)

Maybe what you said here is the solution to the mystery of the loud noise followed by the bowl that's now able to spin? Maybe the o-ring didn't break but during the session, the heat caused some thermal expansion and the oven part resting on it slipped over it in a violent way and smacked into the body of the unit somewhere? Causing a loud cracking sound?

Any word on when units will again be available in the US? I’ve about given up on getting the AVLP2 I ordered and I’m ready to cancel that order is the Frolic looks like I can get it faster . 4 months of being ghosted by Apollo has left a bad enough taste in my mouth, I have no desire to do business with them anymore.
