Arizer Solo 3

Maybe not the oldest, but possibly the fartiest!
Anyone try the evolution stem from Sneaky Pete? Three options, regular, xl, and xl high flow.
Also interesting how the URL is for the Rocket V2, but it appears Pete decided to change the name to the Evolution
Looks like it might make a good travel stem. I use a bent and dimpled stem for travel, so I’m curious how this new one compares.

I like it much better than the TM cooling unit stem. It does seem to get dirty faster. Alcohol bath cleans perfectly. PITA to dry. Takes way too long. Sometimes I will use hairdryer to speed up drying.

I have an air compressor in the garage, that might work too :-) Seems like using it wet might cause it to get slimed up inside.
Looks like the Evolution was originally the Rocket V2 based on the URL .../products/spv-arizer-rocket-stem-v2
Looks like they addressed at least one Rocket comment about tilting the stem when using it, and the balls rolling to one side and clearing an air-path. This seems to be solved in the Evolution. Can you confirm?

Looks like too much obstruction for my preference, might cool well, and happy to see they appear to be full spheres, not beads with holes through them as a lot of these places seem to cheap out on them that way risking safety, but seems like it would clog and need cleaning quite often? I think bends are more effective with less maintenance

There is definitely a joke in there about how you are a bendy person that doesn't like balls. I need to ruminate on this challenge.
:dog:

That said, i think I agree with your assessment. Even my bendy/dimpled stem gets pretty dirty, pretty fast. It's too easy to want to jump on the latest innovation.

Have not tried the Evolution stem specifically, but have several Rocket/pill bottle stems. The main restriction I’ve found is the glass screens as I have 3 stems 14mm, Rogue/Fury and V3Pro that fully open with no glass screens or free flow design and the beads offer only slight restriction. All my glass screened Rocket/pill bottle stems have quite a bit of restriction due to the screens and not the beads. The glass screened stem require mesh dome screens to reduce carryover to the stem as without the mesh screens they get dirty fast. I don’t have a free flow Rocket stem, but several either with beads or dimples or both and the free flow with mesh screen is a big improvevent in reducing the restriction of glass screened stems. I’d recommend the XL free flow stem as I’ll probably get one in my next Sneaky Pete order. If you don’t run higher temps the Evolution/Rocket/pill bottle stems are kind of overkill as they do cool extremely well and I usually use them when I run hi-temps to vape hash.

Element vape has it for $260. I've purchased there a few times with positive results.

There was a member who posted this link to a site that had the solo 3 for a very cheap price and it was legit as the guy who runs site bought them in bulk and passed the savings to customers.

Was the version 3 but it was way cheaper than RRP

It is the v2 here but not US. Sill might be cheaper getting it to you as is very cheap.

Best you just get it from PLTV as suggested by @Bear R.

Hey there, you’re right, we have it listed at a very reasonable price, and it is also Arizer’s Minimum Advertised Price for the Solo 3 V2. Thanks for sharing!

I own many dry herb vaporizers and after spending one night with the solo 3, version 2, I can state I have never used more confusing software on a vaporizer. I struggle with finding the main menu. Do I hold down the right button? Sometimes it works but usually not. Am I the only fool who struggles with the software on the solo 3??? I really need an idiot’s guide for this thing…

To access the settings menu, after unlocking your device, and after selecting “On Demand” or “Session”, hold the right button, then you can click left and right to navigate the menu, and press the center M button to select a setting you want to make changes to. The manual reads:

HOLD the RIGHT button to access the device settings. PRESS the LEFT and RIGHT buttons to navigate and the M button to confirm your change. Then PRESS UP and DOWN buttons to scroll and PRESS the M button to confirm your change. Use the <BACK button to exit the settings.”

They don’t make it very clear that you need to be in Session or On Demand mode. So fire up the Solo 3, unlock it, select session, then hold the right arrow.
