Arizer Solo 3

I've also noticed something being a little off or whatever with the buttons. So far I've only really noticed it with just with one function when trying to reduce the temperature. I'll have to release and repress and hold a couple of times before it will start decreasing the temp. I've also wondering about it running a little hotter than the temperature it's displaying. I know the other night I was getting some fairly thick clouds on 330 F. and cranked up to 380/385 F was hitting more like it was 400 F. But overall I'm really digging the vape just gonna take a little time to get everything dialed in on like I want.

Sometimes I feel that the vape's "operating system" goes into a sort of sleep mode when there's been no input for a while and you'll need to hit the buttons a couple of times. The first button press or couple of presses "wakes" the system up and then it detects other button presses normally 🤷‍♂️. Just a guess.

My presets are 338, 358 and 378F so it sounds similar to what you're seeing.

Hey, anyone knows where I can find (or someone makes) a high flow XL beaded cooling mouthpiece in the UK? Looks like there's none unfortunately (in US you guys are spoiled). Been looking for this for a while... Already have jhooks and bong setups but looking for a simple mouthpiece...
Thanks

But the guy who runs the site is in hospital and wont be back at end of month.

The ones with the balls are sold out but the dimpled ones work just as good. I have one and recommend you get the one with the glass screen and use a mesh screen as the one with the mesh screen is a pain to fit when it gets clogged.

I buy these and cut them down a little.

I tried using it with just the glass and no screen and it all clogged and was not good experience and the screens are easy to put in and just throw away. You can get packets of the screens in 100s from amazon for so cheap.

You probably already knew this but just saying :)

Thank you so much, yeah I know the site, have ordered quite a few bits from Matt. I would like more beads if possible just like the 420edc ones but without the big postage fee...
Ideally and alternatively I was looking for a FEMALE 18 mm STRAIGHT beaded or dimpled mouthpiece to add on top of the XL mesh WPA.
Yet to find that too... Give me a shout if you have a dhgate link for that anyone!
Thank you!!!

Yup. I think https://www.420edc.com/ has them as well.
Thanks man, postage quite a pain from UK though. Anyway, I just wanted to say a big THANK YOU to you personally as a lot of your posts for the arizer solo 3 have got me to enjoying it so much, particularly with regards to jhooks set ups (read them and it convinced me to buy it haha).

Now that’s a serious postage price for those backspacers from @420edc I can’t justify that really . Shame though as they look great .

So on two or three of the reviews that 'd watched / read on the Solo 3 said something about the powerful heater along with the hybrid conduction and convection heating it will produce a really stone-y vibe. I would assume that would have more to do with the strain you are using and it's effects than it would using a certain vaporizer. I don't know if it's just that thought subconsciously rolling around in the back of my mind or what but I swear a few times I've felt like I about had the nods after a couple of sessions. Has anyone else noticed a somewhat more than usual stoney type effects with the Solo 3 vs loading up another device from the same batch?

The Dead South fan?

From my experience, limited as it is, the hotter (visually darker) you get the bud, the more prominent the stoney effect is. And conduction seems to do this more than convection. I have a couple (mostly) pure convection devices and the bud ends up much lighter than the conduction and convection devices that I also have. I think that is what the difference is. Other than that, it would have to be the strain.

✋ I do, and I like it. I like that I can reel it in too. So say, sativa / hybrid in the morning @350° - 375° F. Need it a little heavier 390° or so. Evening, indica time 400° - 420° nighty night. And the wpa’s are a nice touch. Drop it in a j hook and run it a lil hotter, good to go. I like that I can use it in bed as well.

Well I do happen to like a good many of The Dead South's tunes but no it actually comes from my old metal band "Dead Southern Bishop", Our sound was a little more abrasive and gritty than The Dead South LoL I guess our style would have been labeled as mix of southern-stoner-sludge-groove.

Yea I'd think the strain would have more to do with it than anything, I guess possibly it could enhance the effects of whatever strain your using. But I think that would be a strong maybe. Can you notice much of a difference in the high from using the same strain from the same batch in a device that's pure convection vs a hybrid or pure conduction?

Abrasive and gritty, my kind of music!

I've never tried just one device and compared it to another. Usually I use 2-3 devices each night, gotta mix things up. But the darker (which I interpret as hotter) I get a strain, the more stoney effect I get.

Give me a day or two and I’ll do some testing to see. I just put away my tm2 when the solo 3 came in. From what I remember the high from the tm2 was more cerebral and clear, less couch lock / stoney. I’ll pull out a hybrid and do some science.

I have the solo 3 since a few days now.
I really like it, smooth potent realy satisfying hits!
And somehow i really have the feeling that it makes me more stony high. And that with a really small amount in the none xl stem.
What i dont get is, why they are not giving dimpled stems with for more cooling. The normal stem is much to warm for me. Luckily i had some old solo dimpled xl stem at home. With that one its much better, here the cooling is right.
Another thing are the Buttons. People were already writing about it. Why are the not working properly. When i do the double click for switching between the temperature setting. Most of the times its not working. I have to double click several times, that it works. Thats so strange. Its a solo 3 v2.....
But i realy like the performance. Nice potent clouds, nice stony high. I am impressed.
A solo 1 was my first vape. I have several other top notch vapes. The solo 3 is a nice evolution to the solo 1 :)
