Ahhh! Is that why you refer to Ryan's as "zbol" ?

Ryan also calls his z bowl iirc.... But I think I must be wrong as that wouldn't differentiate between the X and XL ones, let alone the soon to be released XXL!

Yeah, it's an old habit, lol.

But I actually use my ZX 95% of the time with the Zbol.
I sold my metal bowls, and occasionally I use the dfreez Z bowl and a glass adapter.
Unfortunately, I broke my American bowl a long time ago.

Honestly, I just used a coffee mug when I got it and never bothered to upgrade to anything else.

My only issue I've ever had is that the bowl doesn't fit deep enough into some joints to grip, so look for one that will if you have the same need. I've got a DFreez bowl and an Ashme 14mm injector I use in those cases. You can also make one with a 14mm male to 14mm female adapter.

Otherwise, try it with everything you have--it's great with j-hooks, small rigs, recyclers, tubes, etc! Adjust your temps accordingly and you're good.

got home yesterday after my trip, usps or a neighbor finally found and delivered my zx 2 days after they claimed they did originally so wasnt able to use it before leaving. now that i have had a chance to use it its been great, been playing around with temps still but i find myself staying in the 520-560 range overall so far.

Wow! im getting somehow even smoother vapor, and a completely even roast (sometimes the glass bowl left a slightly less roasted ring around the outer edge) Really didn’t expect much of a functional improvement, but its there. Must be because of the perfect fit with the zx

Home setup is now complete. I was a little squirrelly about spending that much on a bowl, but it’s worth it if you are still using the zx with glass adapter bowls. Totally satisfied. Worth the $ and the wait. Only thing left to do is find the perfect (dry) bubbler. Thanks @invertedisdead

I have big hands, so a little extra handle length and girth is good. I cut an old whip to the desired length, split it lengthwise, and cord-wrapped it all together.

For the stand, I used a 6" terracotta flower pot with a 24/40 lab glass extension secured to the bottom of the pot with epoxy. To help stabilize the pot a bit more, I filled it with marbles, pocket change, and rocks.

I've noticed that the top screen setting significantly improves the extraction of very small batches like 0.03g at low temperatures.
Micro-dosing really becomes even more efficient, and I appreciate the improvement.

I haven't tried the lowest setting yet, as I rarely vape that much in a single session.
The top screen setting was the reason for this purchase, and also to have a backup of the ZXB at the same time

same! I have actually only used the zxb on the highest screen setting and have loved the results. the zxb is so good that I want a spare and picked up an omega head to play with the zxb wirelessly

I sat the new ZX bowl screen at its shallowest position, then added seven 4 mm quartz balls, and a cover screen. I am getting a slight but noticeable improvement in taste.

I'll add my voice to the really satisfied bunch. I don't know where you physically are, Inverted, but I bow in your direction and chant "I am not worthy". I've been using a DFreez Z Bowl durning the productive part of the day to medicate, a ZBol MK 1 most of the rest of the time and an old Elev8 14mm/14mm adaptor for jumbo bowl. ZBol MK 2 means I only need 1 bowl. High screen position replicates my daytime dosage perfectly, lowest one is large enough for other purposes and the middle spot in the normal bowl. Perfect!

The @VGOODIEZ injector bowls are nice, inexpensive bowls. I've had good results with the shorter ones but the screen is much further away than the ZXB2's so while it will work great, it won't work as perfectly as the Zbowl. They also have a large floor, so covering the screen requires a bit more herbs as well. The Ashme bowls are beautifully made but without ledges or slots for the screens (mine were early models I think so it's possible this may have changed). For my 14mm that I use with the Zs I leave the screen low in the grind; for the 18mm I had it set up in the grind but I've moved it to the bottom of the bowl for my injectors with full-length nozzles. The bottom is rounded/narrowed so the area is smaller than the Vgoodiez bowls, thus a smaller load covers it. The screen stays solidly in place with reclaim on the walls.

Also as long as I'm looking like a doofus, what is the exact measurement for the male part of the zx? Thanks!

I measure it at 14/11 or 12. So looks like it's the top 11mm of the cone.
