I gotta say, I really love the blue plate on the red cap. I think it's beautiful and I'm tempted to get one, even though I have absolutely no need for another Lotus cap. Pure VAS...
Give the old one to a needful friend? That way you can have your VAS and vape it too!

i have absolutely no need for another lotus either … mine will be here wednesday lol
🥸 you may not be alone...

Would really like to see a titan heat plate instead the stainless steel one. this should last way longer and not gas out any (toxic) ingredients...

Can't wait to see it. You've been wanting the OG stem, iirc? Will this be like that?
Yeah I preferred the look of the og stem, eh it's sort of similar in the way that it's a straight stem but it's...more, ha.
If the pipe fits, you'll have to tell us all about it! I've actually been messaging with a pipe maker on Etsy to get my own made, he's down for it once I get my Lotus in-hand to measure the necessary dimensions (and will likely offer a pipe designed for 14mm WPAs as an option in his shop if it works well).
Yeah for sure, if it fits I'll definitely post it up and let yall know where I got it.

I hope it fits... especially if you used the measurements you asked me recently!!

I finally decided to change the plate...
I'll see if the next one darkens as much but I don't think so...
at least I would have seen with my own eyes how it is done underneath... I also know that I can decide to use my new lotus and that I will be able to change the plate to restore its initial beauty...
and I also learned that changing this plate was quite a pain... I'm not clumsy, but... it was a pain!
it is very simple...

it's just a small work surface and small screws... the key had a tendency to come out of the screw. in short, it only took me 5 minutes... but it was only 3 screws 🤣

Edit : oops...sorry for the double post!!

Wow the purple and blue look fantastic in those photos!

Do you think your plate was defective and that's why it charred like that or you use too big a flame or something?

Thanks for those measurements again, I really just asked the guy if he could drill the bowl hole at 14mm instead of what he normally does. But I'm positive I can make it fit, if its off, with a thicker o ring or something.

yeah it's a piece that changes a lot of colors depending on the lighting!

and I think my technique with the lighter during my first 3-4 uses was not good.
I will pay attention to developments.

but at the same time, I started using concentrates, hash or kief more on flowers... it's just amazing!
but it also requires another heating technique, in relation to heat. so we'll see!

Might be worse :uhoh:
But well it's melting point 1453°C vapor pressure (gassing out) is at 1262°C. probably they thought long enough about the material used. hopefully.
From the rules:
If you have a question or comment regarding material safety, post it in General Discussion. Do not post it in a model thread.
Also this has been covered dozens of times in this thread.

And now used, the hook be it tiny is actually really nice. Obviously it hits harder as its prettier.....happy.

I cannot get over how beautiful this looks and cannot wait for mine....I wanted to ask you Stueylakes...who made the green tools? Is that Rogue Wax Works tools? Could you tell me please? They are very nice too. I love the green. Anyway, thanks. Your set up is really nice with that leather box...is that LabetKomp?

That plate was fine tbh and could've been used way more IMO. But it's probably correct that a smaller flame would've had the colour less dark.

yeah, thanks for the review!
I didn't throw away the other plate. I'll see how it develops. I only know about lotus since its recent release a few months ago so I'm discovering it.
Changing plate will allow me to know what is normal and what is not 😁

@catlova
you will find answers to your questions about the materials on the first page of the best of.
But we won't comment on them here, right! This is the way.

Thank you Dr G! Yes both tools are from Rogue Guy, the tray isnt Labet, its actually fantastic though. They are super cheap on amazon and have a metal tray contained so for my couchlog it magnetically sticks! 2 for 15 pounds! One slightly larger than this also. Search Navaris faux leather tray. The corners are perfect for stems, wpas or j hooks.

hey!

I have feedback from the concentrates in the lotus...

several months ago I bought a proxy and 7-8 grams of concentrates to find out.

The Proxy was good and above all very practical, but I just didn't like the fact of adding equipment (tools, cleaning, storage, etc.) just for the concentrates.
and I had a hard time getting used to the materials used. and I really like flowers.
I sold it recently and so I had some concentrates left.

It is the Lotus which is responsible for taking over...
well, I use my concentrates on a flower mattress... and I love it! the experience is great. It's just me, but I prefer the flowers/concentrate combo 1000 times. there is the quantity and quality of vapor from the flowers, plus that of the concentrate, the taste of the flowers and the concentrate...

it reconciled me with concentrates... and I might buy some again!

Really happy!

Received my Lotus on Wednesday, finally got the chance to use it last night, and this vape is phenomenal. I’m not sure whether I like this or the Vapman better, flavor-wise, but the Lotus is definitely a shockingly heavy hitter for how small it it, and the ritual of using it on the included j-hook was thoroughly enjoyable.

I really like the way you heat while using and only while using – with some other heavy-hitter TEDs I’ve used, like the Dani and Stunner, you heat up the metal, then you keep pulling until all the heat’s gone, which can be frustrating if I just want a sip. No such issue with the Lotus, I can load up the bowl and space out the draws as close together or as far apart as I like, and not worry about the herb continuing to bake from heat transfer between metal parts.

My only complaint is that, like some other vapes I’ve used, it’s easy to accidentally knock the screen free inside the WPA when emptying the bowl out.

Another new owner here.

After much consideration and some helpful input from @fangorn I finally went ahead and got myself a Lotus. Two bowls in, with a semi-combustion to go with, I feel like I've somewhat got the hang of it. Flavor is as good as advertised, the pipe-look is there, and it comes with a surprisingly mindful ritual. I must say that so far I'm overall very pleased.

Next on the list will be to see how it handles some hash! I'm not completely loving the look of the official concentrate screen, but I'll give it a chance before exploring other options.

Wishing you all a great weekend, hopefully with time for a nice bowl or two! :)

Holy shit, this little thing is way more beautiful in the hand then pictures do it justice. I'm even surprised how much I LOVE the j hook. I can't stand the thought of having glass but it's really a perfect size and swoop.

This is the pipe experience I've been trying to get from vaping all these years.

I went with a plains style pipe from a Lakota pipe maker. I'm just as impressed with the stone pipe quality in hand, it feels amazing.

And although the lotus fits and seals in the pipe, I'm not so sure I will even use it for the Lotus anymore. It's such a beautiful pipe on it's probably own I'm not quite sure what the plan is anymore; I will definitely probably use it a few times with the lotus just because but the j hook is really slick.

Lol idk who's bold enough to do it but...
