the videos, it you look back through the thread, there is a couple where they heat and puff on it like a joint for a good minute or more, one of my favorite features
Was the same with the vape I have, on videos it looked great, in hands a bit disappointing.

I understand, I still haven't got the same experience as I saw in videos with a few I've bought over time. I haven't had my hands on a Tempest so I don't know myself, a couple of the guys have be believing its the case :)

Wondering if it will come in proper packaging and if any extras other than the vape itself?
No packaging yet, it will only be included with the final parts.
It comes with a few extra orings, bowl screens, wand adapter, debowler and direct tube with SCU.

I wonder if the cap remover made of wood that came with my TA would work for the tempest
It won’t work unfortunately, the Tempest is smaller in diameter.

Thx alot

I have the Dani Leather sleeve for my fusion. Will thus work for opening a hot Tempest?

Can you really hit it like a joint? Because I have a vaporizer here from which they said it would be like smoking a joint but it really isn’t.
Hope this one is.
Yes. Large bowl and heat capacity of the Zirc balls allow for an extended heat cycle, so you can do joint puffs. The vapour is still substantial and satisfying this way.

Also due to minimal contact area on the tip, you can quickly reload and there will still be plenty of residual heat in the balls. So using the visual indicator you can bring it back to temp with a torch quickly (I have no click disc so can't do this in IH). This way you can effectively chain multiple bowls for what feels like an extended joint style experience. I've gotten so quick at hot reloads and torch reheats that it feels like lighting a joint that went out. Doesn't feel laborious or time consuming at all. It actually adds to the ritual.

For users who anticipate wanting to use the device like this, you need to buy the Reload, or at the very least something with a really strong magnet, and some kind of debowler.

What lighter have you been using with it?

Mid sized single flame. It's called the Vertigo. Quite a popular torch. I need to try it with a triple flame as that would get better results. Because the balls are not wrapped around the bowl, you can heat it as fast as you like, and don't have to worry about combustion.

With my single flame I'm able to reheat the tip in around 15-18 seconds depending on desired roast level.

How long would you say you can puff like a joint until you need to reheat? Dani is great, but its to short to be joint like.

I haven't found the edge yet. I always have enough time to fully extract the bowl. It would be hard to measure, as you only know it's producing vapour while drawing on it. It feels like you can be relaxed with it. I never have that anxiety of feeling rushed to finish the bowl. You learn to trust it.

Seems to me I would only not finish the bowl if I put it down and forgot about it. Went on my phone etc. As long as I'm mindfully focussed on toking the Tempest, at a relaxed speed, it will always have enough heat capacity to fully extract the bowl.

@RedZep i understand its hard to meassure. Maybe you can meassure it in puffs? On s full bowl, how many puffs are possible. I know it depends on the material you put in.

I can try something like that. It's extremely variable though. Even in the same session I'm doing some longer puffs, some shorter. Just like a joint I'm sort of freestyling it.

This vape is going to explode. Word of mouth is going to be absurd on this thing once more people have it. I think it's the closest joint experience in vaping. That will attract so many people. I think I will make a video showing relaxed joint puffs, followed by quick reload and re heat with torch and visual indicator. Using it like this is so unique.

There are a lot of vaporists that feel underwhelmed, because they were big joint smokers and vaping is just different. I think they will love this.

I used to use half a gram in a joint when I smoked. I use 0.45g now (3 Tempest bowls) all chained together using the heat retention. It's so similar in ritual and feel. Great to put some music on and enjoy the experience.
With one heat up? I have a hard time believing you get 3 bowls with one heat up
