Lately the B0 has been making my asthma flair up, it's going through water and I'm still coughing and getting a heavy chest.

I turned it down from 600f to 520f and it's tasting better and not making my asthma flair up. Have been doing warm water in the bong as well.

I can get a slight ring around the herb if I'm too high of a temp but it almost never happens with the standard. I have to admit, I'm curious enough to try it. I'm going to wait until their next sale. Hope your asthma gets under control. My sister used to get bad cases of it as a kid and we had to take her to the hospital because she was gasping for air. Scary shit for sure, definitely stay on those low temps. From what I found out (at least with 2 strains) is that my B2 approximately runs about 100 degrees less than my vrod. I'm currently between 530 and 550F myself.

Is far as my broken controller goes, I emailed CH a moment ago. If they can repair it for a reasonable price fine, but I might just use this opportunity to pick up the Auber and the Stand. I plan on either a Mini Nail or a T Cup eventually. Haven't decided yet.

Edit: I just realized it was the yellow wire that has become completely loose from the pin connection. Looks like the soldering came off and the other wires got "bunched up for some reason. I'll try to show some pics if I can remember how to do that here. At least now I have identified the problem and since I have no soldering iron and haven't used one since I was in HS this needs to be sent back to them.

When I wanted to send my 300a back for firmware update, I sent to Auber USA, and they did the update, I’m sure they do most repairs there as well, many Chinese devices become disposable if you can’t get them repaired. Auber has been around since 2006, and this is one of their main product areas. Having the DIAL, versus little buttons, was worth the extra cost as well as repair customer service.

*Indeed, you can’t put the Auber on an external timer, but for SAFETY reasons, it’s NOT something I would ever do, to save a 10 minute heat up, having a hot coil UNATTENDED! On the Auber, you can also set an AUTO OFF timer, another welcome safety feature.

I feel like if you are just going to set a temp and forget it the CH pid is better than the Auber because you can get it on a smart plug, but if that isnt something you plan on doing the Auber will probably be a better choice.

The Auber just seems more appealing with the dial and the auto shut off feature to me but I only own a NV. Thinking of getting one now rather than to wait for CH to get back to me on my NV PID.. especially if I plan on getting the T bucket eventually.. I was just wondering for those that have had both... If you had both an Auber and a NV PID.. and a B2 and a T bucket.... what one would you prefer for the B2 and T bucket? Are there any performance differences that would cater to the T bucket vs. the B2, B1 or B0 heads? Just curious?

I've ended up with 2 aubers (1 for the b1 and 1 for the tbucket). I've actually got an extra ch one that i used at first. Other than a temp difference I don't see anything other than what others have pointed out. I also like the knob vs the buttons. The other thing is ch is not making the ss covers for the ch pids, only the aubers and I've got both covered. I don't think they intend to make ch pid covers anytime soon for some reason. So my 2 cents are its mainly some feature differences and preference.

I have seen this kind of knob on centrifuge in labotory, and after some time, there is issues.

I wonder how the balls look after x amount of uses. I can't imagine them getting that gummed up since the heat just flows through it, and like you said 500+ degrees.

I wouldn't worry about cleaning it, just the injector part of the b0.

Unless you fiddle with the knob too much it should be just fine. On mine I just the temp and keep it at the same temp most of the time.

@Relaxed; Yes but coil keeps the ruby balls heated, so it should just burn off over time. Or crank it up to 800 for about five minutes and that should do the trick.

Yeah Chris emailed me this morning. I might just give them a call instead of talking through email. I honestly don't think the problem is with the PID since I discovered the yellow wire being loose. I'm just weighing the costs of shipping the coil and getting the repair vs just buying another coil for $50. I'll definitely give them a call on Monday for sure.

Nice! If I had the cash, I'd much have rather gotten the B1 and T bucket as well instead of the B2. Main reason why I got the B2 was because I'm always hearing that the B1 is more airy and I kind of like a lil resistance and the ability to do concentrates so I chose the B2 for the time being. Nevertheless, I'd rather have 2 dedicated devices rather than a jack of both trades. I didn't know that CH wasn't going to make the PID stands CH/NV PIDs though.. What a bummer.

FWIW, essentially nothing I suppose; I have the NV PID and I like it plenty. The case is nice anodized brushed aluminum and I like the flat top for storage. The switch feel high quality and I rarely/never adjust the temp.

I don't get the point of the NV machined PID covers, seems like a waste of <insert your other passion here> money, YMMV.
