Discontinued Ghost MV1

I love my ghosts!
Best $125 I have spent on a vape, came with a fast charger, crucible holder, and extra crucibles. My latch is still good as I use mechanical sympathy while opening/shutting (I manipulate the gate to relieve pressure on the latching point before hitting the latch button).
I never had inconsistency problems but I always keep the battery fully charged and use an ultrasonic cleaner on all the cleanable parts.
I still dislike the UI though and that is the main reason why I never got a Switch, all that room and no simple screen, just stupid LEDs...too bad if you are colour blind. :mental:

FYI, Sneaky Pete's stream today was a deep dive on the rise and fall of Ghost:

Deep Dive - Ghost MV1

I have a stealth and a silver MV1. Don't use them anymore since they were always
giving me consistency issues.
Loved Pete’s stream yesterday. I threw my ghost away when the company went under. I think I had about a 20% success rate. I got frustrated with burning my fingers on the crucibles.

Wow a whole hour on the ghost? And talk shit about the GH? Cmon man. Go back to reviewing vapes that are current. Don't ever knock the GH or Ghost. Did you forget the Ghost is the best tasting convection vape out there period? Maybe because it's the first convection vape that can push +400 degree vapor, COOLED, WITHOUT the use of water filtration? Well Skippy it is, trust me. The MP was ingenious. THE GH is the quickest, hardest hitting portable made to date. There, now you know, and knowing is half the battle. Maybe the V3 Max is the shit up in Canada, stick to those reviews and leave the niche stuff to the pros:tup:

I have a Silver and a Stealth, 2 original batteries, 2 second gen batteries, 6 crucible sets and a fast charger. Never ran into the latch issue. I got some AMAZING hits but found I couldn't consistently get those AMAZING hits.

I said the above earlier when I was considering selling it all but when I finally got around to it .... I couldn't sell since its my insurance plan. I live in Florida and keep the Ghost stuff in my hurricane box and I don't have another vape with that kind of battery life. I have a bunch of battery tech to get me by those hurricane times but its nice to know the Ghost is stand-alone and super strong in terms of battery life regardless of how finicky it can be.

After reading these posts, I broke my Nickel Ghost out. Ran a couple crucibles of GMO flower, then with a Pad, a Dab of Lemon Diesel concentrate.
As Always, a GREAT TASTING VAPE, but again, Inconsistant draws.
Seems its Hard to find ONE that covers all bases. Got a ENano, Airvape X, Legacy with Bubblers. Not to mention 510 coIls, HVTTAF Atomizer, etc.
Obviously, I get Bored Easy. At least I have a Rotation.
(I tried that with women, caused Lots of Problems, lol)

To all the Ghost owners, if you've never tried a twax sandwich, try it. This is how I typically use it. Go easy with the amount of concentrate at first, when just right it helps the flower vape more fully and leaves the crucible reasonably clean. If you overdo the amount it's an unholy mess. It can help to fully vaporize, and stay cleaner, if you turn the crucible upside down half way through (forgetting you did can be annoying).

A good MV1 twax session is comparable to a desktop heavy session (without the wax).

I actually miss my ghost I think it was my 1st vaporizer 1st vaporizer besides the magic flight launch Box launch Box. I had accumulated like 4 batteries please a fast charger and a Matt black unit with an extra extra body for parts, I'm an idiot and I sold it I should have just held on to it

I can help …..
I have two new in box Ghost units and one lightly used.
Plus battery and fast charger and chamber holder.
For a nominal fee you can relive the Ghost experience….

I love and baby my Ghost even though it only cost US$125 with a fast charger and crucible dispenser. Still able to be purchased new but at crazy prices.
I have been especially careful with the door latch mech as it is a known failure point...but not a problem if you follow these simple tricks for opening and shutting,
I don't have an immediate need for a Roffu
I can get over 650 puffs on the Roffu without any cleaning (not recommended, once a week is best) and barely have to put any thought into loading it for a consistent sesh...the Ghost is a little more finicky to live with.

Do you guys know if the stealth is usually more reliable than the other colors that first came out? Because if I remember right the stealth came out a bit later and maybe had some changes to it. I found someone selling used ones and I wanted one way before they came out when bud hyped it up but waited then yea u all know what happened. But I figured fuck it if a major online vape shop is selling repairs for cheap like that I gotta check it out.

I may be wrong but im sure the steath was the most prone to the chamber door latch breaking which was one of the most common.faults with the MV1...
I loved the MV1 it was a great vape at the time but i think my TM2 has the edge 🙂

As I recall "the stealth" was the best / last version. If I remember correctly the previous versions were more prone to being finicky in terms of heating and over-heating. I have both the Stealth and one of the previous versions. The previous version does overheat but the Stealth does not.

androponic

vaped.
The stealth black version was prone to the door latch breaking. It was found to be heat related and letting it cool a bit before opening to remove a hot crucible helped prevent it. the different chrome plated versions didnt have this as much if at all. probably the metalized coating saved the plastic latch from heat fatigue. i have a few of each type and have all lasted but you just have to make sure to press in on the door when opening, let them cool a min before opening. etc. this will extend the latch life for sure

Well thanks but thats kinda shitty wonder what one to order. At 125 maybe a stealth and a chrome color. Was hoping to get the rebult one from potv at 125 cant beat that. But I have found “new ones” but there around 170 to 200 and the websites they were on im thinkin there selling returns and rebuilds too. Im kinda into conspiracies so naturally i start wondering about the underground vape chop shop gangs in my head and yea lol thats where im at. Maybe ill just get a used potv stealth keep lookin into it. Thanks for the help guys(long boring day at work sorry for going way off topic)

Like i said never heard these places some dont even have a color choice to pick from or what color you can expext but heres a breakdown of my findings so far. Dopeboo.com 199 vapelargest.com 170 i saw theres a code to drop that to 135 but cant find it again. The drugstore.com 154 bucks. And im sure if ya dig around enough you will find discount codes for them. Let me know if you have used any these sites before or if you order and they are legit. So yea im thinking a used potv one and try one those guys out
