The Lotus Vaporizer

I’ve been using my lotus more again lately, I don’t have any spare hot plates so I shelved it for over a year but I can’t just leave it so it’s back in the mix as long as it last. Still hoping someone offers spares at some point I fell like roguewaxworks or someone like that could save us here.

Glad to see this thread still active. Hope to keep my Lotii runnin' as long as I'm still around but down to just a few plates left after replacing three within the last couple months.

Does anybody know what the screw size/thread pitch is on the heat exchanger plate mounting screws. I'm looking at drilling the mounting holes through on a couple of caps that have holes stripped out and thru-bolting to nuts partially recessed into the bottom of the cap. Should be a reasonably clean fix and I wont need to worry so much about stripping the screws out in the future. I'd check myself but can't seem to find my micrometer.

After a bit of research I can easily source button-head hex drive metric screws in 2mm x 10mm long with thin (1.2mm) low-profile nuts in both native and black oxide 18-8 stainless steel. Cant tell if the originals are 1.8mm or 2mm diameter screws but the 1.8mm are only available up to 6mm in length and that is the same length as the too short oem screws. Eyeballing the clearances and I think the 2mm screws will fit through the retaining ring and plate holes. Going to hold off on ordering the screws/nuts for a couple of days and would appreciate if anybody can accurately measure the oem screw diameter. Thanks.

Now what are we all going to do about replacement nickle heat transfer plates.

I'm over the moon! It's good news for someone else too, as I've got an older black one that I'll be listing for sale soon.

I just need to decide whether to swap the silver ring from my black one onto the saucer or not. 🤔

I hope the demand is there for someone to resurrect this unit. I’ve been looking for a pipe like vape and this one seems like the ticket.

The new Italian Vapman guys seem to be having good success. Here's hoping someone picks up the Lotus torch.

Just couldn't bring myself to pay a silly asking price so far above the original MSRP. That's not what the vibe of the vaping community should be about IMHO. Sure, go for "Mooor Profitz!" if you like. But it leaves a bad combustion taste in my mouth. But before I came to my senses, I was hearing $350! Then $250! For something that was $109-150 MSRP. SMH...

Here's hoping I can find one eventually without being price gouged.

The Danivape guy previously sold his own Lotus knockoff; he said he's currently revising it. The original business is surely out of reach, but it'd be great if DV guy could at least make replacement parts. If he relaunched his own version and the performance was there, well....

All credit to Rene for finding the IV bros to carry on after him--these vapes are too great to lose.
