I am so curious how you would qualify something to be Heady Glass?

Do you really feel that tube fits into a thread filled with Banjo, SALT, rjglass, ramickelson, bubbles the butcher, snodgrass and others at the top of their craft?

I don't know any of those people's names you mentioned or their work, but yes, I am looking at two threads here, it was posted in cheap glass thread which imo it was not, one of the items is a heady pipe, along with further heady options from the artist mentioned, so I felt it belonged here... We already got into this earlier in this thread about the definition of heady... Heady is just a handmade, unique piece of glass, broadly.

I’d also like to share my skull bowl, this bowl was most definitely made by an amateur, it is completely full of bubbles, it’s extremely painful to hit 90% of the time, and there’s no way you could ever place filters in it cause I’ve tried everything. But it’s really fun to use! All my friends love it despite its clear flaws. It’s really basically a nice pipe to puff from essentially. It’s the only combustion I ever do. It’s got a nice square cut opal right in the middle.

I also managed to smuggle her into and out of Jamaica by sitting drunk in the water for a good two hours shaking it in the sand to clean the resin off. As we were at the airport I still got selected for a special search and they asked if it’s ever been used blah blah etc and then I was good to go.

Sorry to back post again, but this one arrived and it is awesome, loving it with Halo and Atlas, also FW7 and TM, TP80 and v3pro too!

Came back to find this had arrived while I was away, and I love it! Smaller in person, great for portables, really nice handheld over on a table, love the mouthpiece, sidecar style, and the perc has four holes on the opposite side of the mouthpiece for very nice performance as well! Some deep red color, and yellow in the giant horn (might help balance), also the base is totally stable:

Only tried it with Tetra so far, but I'm excited to try everything with it of course, TM and FW7 especially!? Halo and the logs too...

There is no link, it is a one-of-a-kind piece, it was listed on their website originally discounted from $175 to $120, then it was removed, so I asked if it was still available in the store during their 420 sale, he said yes and it was even cheaper so I got it for $100 ... I'm going to ask him who the artist is though and will let you know!

Found out the artist is Zombie Neil Coe in Pittsburgh, you can follow his Instagram here to see his other work, maybe ask for a custom design that is like mine... but seems like he hasn't posted since October 2021

@SonicBacon looks like he is the same artist who made your sea urchin piece actually! Some cool super unique stuff

Sorry if it feels like I took over this thread, I think I'm finally done since I just got a beautiful piece from Cody Pline finally!

Another Instagram artist discovery, CodyPlineGlass in Michigan, stuff like this 7.5in 14mm 4hole shower head is only $120:

Fortunately I have hit my limit so I'm not going to grab it, but he makes a lot of cool stuff, more of these in other colors like this green one (@delta hotel?? more too) headyier ones too like this one... keeping an eye on em!

Okay and I've been watching Cody Plines' IG as he regularly has these^ up for auction in various colors, thought I would end up with a purple, but he just posted this wild blue one with an opal so I had to have it:

Edit: well fuck, I had messaged him first late last night, saying I felt like this is probably the one I want if he could confirm it was blue, he replied that it is blue super early this morning, but since I slept in late someone else beat me to paying for it (thought my comment on the post and messaging him first would reserve it for me...) not that I need it, I'm sure he'll make more, maybe I'll find one I like even better, but I'm still pretty sad and annoyed... crocodile tears!

He had posted another one I loved, perhaps even more than the dark blue and light blue one, that was like an opaque pink, however once again I was just a little too slow and someone beat me too it! However Cody was nice enough to offer making me another just like it, and even welcomed my request for additional blue and purple color added in, allowing me to get dibs ahead of posting and avoid the race... Still $130, great dude!

Well the results are incredible, had him post the video to his Instagram here, since my photos cannot do it justice, always a different experience in person, it is very small though it holds a lot of water and is very well made. The rainbow of colors is just wonderful, in full sunlight the whole thing sort of turns amber, but in different lighting other colors can pop in different ways, really matches the opal color well, which itself is pretty wild too and impossible to capture:

Solid function, perhaps it could have used one less hole in the diffuser, or rather would be nice if it was a little larger? But it is unique with that extra wide flat base narrowing up to the rest, the way the bubble stack... Form is comfortable and effective, better with Tetra than FW7, solid with TM, xmax v3pro, and Hopper IO, Atlas is working well so I'm looking forward to using with Halo and RBT stuff... Oh also by the way the 14mm female joint he made is quite nice, connections fitting securely and smoothly!

Aside from the ones I've posted here, Cody, Vassily, Jeremy, Updog, each of whom I now have a very nice and unique piece from fortunately, I've got a colored and a custom heady drop down adapter being made by RickBirdBarry to finish me off...

There is also Julian of course, I am following JohnstonGlass too for some wild nintendo and pokémon style work (I threw a small bid on a bob-omb carb cap auction and entered charizard bong raffle why not) and IzzyTheGlassBlower is making some cool little octopus rigs, while LizWright does insane work with aquatic theme rigs that are so out of my price range though I have dreams of owning one someday...

There are some others that pop up in my feed, like this Mark, and shops with good deals like MaximumGlass, a lot of other resellers many that use auction, like HeadyFatCats are a great one to follow for insane deals on stuff from Jeremy and Vassily often, among others...

Yeah, dude said it was Cody's attitude? Saying that was the reason his pieces didn't sell for three times as much... But it sounds like the guy was hounding him about the tracking, not being scanned right away, which is typical to not have tracking show up for a day or two, so I wouldn't blame Cody for being a bit bristled by that depending on the guys own attitude which did not sound so great haha Yeah mine was shipped right away and arrived super fast, can't find a single thing to complain about... (You got yours for only $120 even though it has an opal? which I was surprised about though!) I looked at that dude's own page, they have a ton of really expensive heady glass, I don't know people who cannot be chill make me think that maybe they should not be relying on these herbs so much lol

Here’s another something I had made: a 14”, 14mm cocoboro sherlock/philosopher pipe by Glassman. He does amazing woodgrain stuff (not cheap), mostly pushbowl pipes which is of course what most folks are looking for in a dry flower pipe. He does blasted/hand-carved work on some to create a weathered look that is out of this world! Sadly this phone pic doesnt do it justice irl by half, I‘ll take some of my own someday maybe.
