Communication through email has been awful in my experience. I have had to hit up Whiff after more than 5 days with no response every time. I hate to do it but seems to be the only way.

I had two whiteout challenge clips that I didn't share on IG because the prize of a call with John was such a dumb idea.
Just read that John retroactively changed both the contest rules and the prize and is now sending everyone who shared/tagged their whiteout clip by yesterday evening a .2g bowl *and an XL mouthpiece *and a green heat shield fml

I didn’t enter because, well, I don’t yet have an Anvil. And I hardly think he wanted clips of my milking a Prodigy with my B Zero.
They responded after I posted here tagging Whiff so that seems to be the case. Probably have tons of emails. Took care of me np though

FWIW I had quick response when emailing,
someone else received the mail and forwarded it to John, then he replied.
Said he was sending out replacement oven for the badly clamped one.
haven’t seen any shipping notifications though so we will see if something turns up or not.
But I can see that he is probably swamped and understaffed trying to scale this business right now, so I could see some slow emails happening.

I think John is insane for giving away more things given how entitled this community has been. I can only imagine the amount of babies reaching out to him saying it's not fair that he changed the reward lmao. I think I'm going to start collecting all the tears I see here and on reddit and deliver it to John in a nice vial. Dude puts up with so much shit I would have closed up shop months ago and said fuck this shit!

John might be some next level kind of stoner engineer but I think he’d be the first to admit that his marketing/product launch skills need help. The bait-and-switch contest-to-giveaway feels like a page out of the DV playbook.
And while I agree that there’s been an undercurrent of entitlement in some of the posts, this is a discussion thread— not everyone has to love what John’s doing at all times just bc he makes a great vape.

Quick question- anyone hear a whistle while inhaling?
Is this a telltale sign I am doing something wrong? Or maybe I did it so right, I am hearing things?
I've been telling everyone about the two cheap torches I prefer and now the Ronx is sputtering after refilling, sometimes with a dangerously big flame. I'll return and just reorder at least once though, I find it pointier and quieter than the Honest pencil torch, the two pack of which I still use and recommend (especially now that the Ronx is fucking up):

Playful snark aside, I do think that the general view of Anvil is slowly shifting to a more fair one that gives both credit and criticism where due. Much needed if we are to avoid a range of Rosium Anvil in 5 years time that performs the exact same as this one
Anyway, question for @Whiff and @Vestratto regarding the new XL mouthpiece.
I’d very much like to purchase this and the XL chamber, but I can see a slight issue. I’m now going to need a case for my anvil, and a case for my mouthpiece. This is on top of having to unscrew the standard MP and screw on the XL each time, then obviously do the reverse end of session. I also live in an illegal country so being able to stash the hot Anvil at a moments notice is a much liked feature for me that will probably save my ass one day
So the question is, can we get an XL case that fits the full “Anvil XL”? If not can I custom order one? And also can it have diametrically aligned magnets?

Never hit it fully closed before, you’ve just inspired me to give it a try
I had it full open the first couple hits then started taking it apart and switched the heat gard and screwed it full closed. The first abv was golden tan and the second line ridden as advertised
Edit: both loads were fully extracted, had a herbie and/or volcano abv type.

The only problem that I am having with my Anvil, is that I am finding it very moreish..
I recommend taking a bit of time with your torch and a stopwatch/phone timer it get yourself dialled in. See whiffs recommended heating times. (side note, I reckon you should add those to the website/instructions)
