Got my Goo Roo today. I didn't have tracking so I didn't know what day or even what service would show up with it, so it was a nice surprise. Anyway, pics! I had trouble getting the color for the base to show in a photo, so there's another lit photo of it.

It's much taller than I expected, especially with the mouth piece, I'm just able to reach it from where I usually sit. Has anyone tried putting a whip of some sort on it?

Yeah it is a bit tall, you can actually try using a drop-down adapter for the mouthpiece too, I did that and it worked very well! Have not tried it with a whip as mouthpiece yet, but I have been experimenting with a wide variety especially now that I broke my original...

Yeah it becomes a whole thing haha with all the adapters... One of my mouthpieces allows me to view the can, it is a pretty great function!

So a whip is easy, you can get any silicone tubing, Rogue wax works has them now with nice mouthpieces... Then all you would need is a right angle whip adapter in 18 mm male, I have a few I don't remember where I got them, eBay probably, you can get them on Amazon, DHgate, many places and I think Rogue has them as well... Oregon glass blower has super thick glass adapters though that would match the GooRoo thick glass well though! Oh and Lamart wrapped whips are still my favorite, still have the one from my original tubo

Goo Roo update. I ordered the stuff to add a whip to it from Rogue Wax Works, I don't know if it'll function well, but I'm down to try it. I'm in love with the piece though. It functions way better with my FlowerPot than my other pieces, and it's the only piece I have that there's no blow back into the bowl if I don't pull it when I'm done with the FP. The function and water required is also better with my FP than most of my others. I need to try it with my FW7, but it's been so good with the VROD. It's easily a new favorite if not top favorite.

I may just keep it to myself, I have people come over that wanna hit or try things, but I'm afraid of someone trying to lift it by it's mouthpiece or something, so I think this one just stays my personal little treat. I'm enjoying it a lot.

Awesome! Yeah I have not tried FW7 with mine, but it's still the go-to piece for my Halo, I even put my hydratree on top as the mouthpiece for double filtration and it is working better than the FC mod ever did for that! Looking forward to seeing your setup with the whip, maybe easier to share with someone that way, so you know they won't need to touch the glass at all

Update: finally got my refund from kokokoko for the heady male rigs they never sent, took some back and forth, after getting the dispute opened, letting it move to mediation, then resolved! Now how long till the money comes back to my account... Whatever already been over 2 months haha

Now I need to put everything else on order out of my mind, the adapters, mouthpieces, pink male tentacle rig, blue saki that is stuck at distribution center here, and large inline that I hope actually ships at some point... Never buying directly from Biao again after these, hopefully they can sort out whatever government troubles they are dealing with, they are ghosting everyone apparently without replying to messages or fulfilling any more orders, maybe not taking any more orders?? Who knows what's up

The perc is something unique, open on the bottom down stem, with several holes poked above it, smooth purr with nice diffusion and flavor... As opposed to a tree perc or circ perc even easier to clean too actually!

Hey guys, I'm looking for a recommendation on a - who would have guessed - cheap solid glass piece.
I've been owning a d020 since around 3 years now, which has served me well but I'm just looking for some variety.

I'll be mainly using it with a tubo evic/tetra p80 and e-nano for now, if that matters.

I've been skimming through the last 200 sites of this thread but it's overwhelming.
I have no idea how a perc effects the experience tbh.

Pieces of interested I've found so far are:
DHGate: Toro Glass Hookah - looks interesting and seems maintenance easy with all those parts to take apart
DHGate: Classic Mobius Matrix - This piece or similar pieces have been around for years and seem approved
Vaporhsop: I've always been interested in a globe one, this is the only affordable one I could find besides the sneakypete globe

Any ideas or recommendations?

Do you favor flavor, or are seeking cooling/smoothness to take the largest rips possible?

Your preferences will help guide you... for flavor, seek smaller pieces with less diffusion. A simple perc, or a single perc with a recycler might be good for flavor when matched with a small volume piece. Multiple percs and larger setups will help with cooling if you are more of a lung buster.

I've not used a D-series piece in years. For variety, you may want to add something with less diffusion than your D020 perc. The matrix percs you linked to above might not offer much different an experience than you already get with your D020.

@Likun yeah I agree with FlyingLow, those are pretty similar to what you already have (I also think matrix are not good perc for vaping really, I have that modular piece, with just the circ perc and main can) and it depends what you are looking for exactly...

I think inline perc, with right angle style female joint, would be nice for you to get instead of the downward perc (dewar?) style again, like if you don't mind not buying from China, the GooRoo large inline would be perfect with tetra and enano... It has a great unique inline perc, full of holes, and it is also larger than anything I've seen on DHgate (most of their inline bubblers are much smaller and just simple slits in the perc) so great compliment to what you have already!

This looks like a good option if you want to try a double perc, inline to mushroom circ perc... This one has a unique perc and is well-reviewed, tall tube with the fab egg for extra cooling...Or go for the tall straight fab, mine is great with my tetra and would be good with a log, there was a nice green one shared in here from a different website with slitted fountain perc... Also this one always looks quite good to me, also the inline perc below honeycomb to fab egg larger ones I've seen look like they would function fantastic.

If you want more of a recycler, this style of fountain perc below klein funnel is popular, there are many different types and sizes for it, though I actually really like mine that has a different design with an upline tube instead of a downline tube, and incycler downline tube instead of incycler upline... Creates the perfect recycling vortex cyclone in use, fantastic balance of diffusion and flavor!

Meanwhile this 9.8inch circ perc rig actually looks quite nice! Basic function, but solid, and some pretty etched glass, the blue glass is even a little transparent it seems:

Also looking more closely at these^ large tubes now, since I don't know if the Biao large inline is ever going to show up, just wish they had bent mouthpieces too, this shop does do custom work, but could get pricey... They do really nice work with colors though, and I just noticed the inline perc is slitted with color dots added (similar to the clear dots on the Biao inline) to make it more fancy with more diffusion... They do this to their circ and tree percs too, a lot of their tubes also have a second perk, some more crazy colors with unique function, and these crazy honey bee rigs... Their Instagram shows them building another type of aquatic rig perc also an octopus that looks really awesome, really cool to see how they do it! Oh and here are their RBR's a bit cheaper without banger... Some of the other tubes:

Edit: contemplating this one that is similar from another seller, it is 14 inches tall instead of 17, but does not have ice pinch, but I like the color, if this is the color they send, it also has more narrow mouthpiece (could be a bad thing) and the perc actually seems different, more of a sideways barrel inline perhaps, though similar function... More expensive though and the standard DHgate coupon is not applying damnit lol This one is cheaper at least, Biao style inline I think but fat one... Or I could save even more and just get this FOL gooseneck??

Well well, actually I finally went to look at that Biao double gridded inline perc tube from GreekGlass and now I realize why someone mentioned being tempted by it! Has that perc, doubled, with some color, 14 inches tall, so I could try this style even though it has the wide neck mouthpiece... At least it does have an ice pinch and with free shipping code (shipDH Biao share the code on IG trying to do right a little lol better than the 20% off Halloween that does not offset the for some reason expensive shipping) and tax price comes to $87

Anyway the real reason to justify posting a third time, Goo Roo aqua blue mouthpiece arrived so I'm back in business with my three-piece again! This one is not quite as bent as my orange one, also it is actually shorter too, but the mouthpiece hole is actually larger... Very nice and fun, hopefully I will find someone who can repair the orange one so I have both (total height is now more like 16.5 inches instead of 18.5)

Back in the day when Joda (@VaPeD&CoNfUsEd here) was still around, I broke the very top of my Sheldon Black Dub-Bub at the joint where the removable mouthpiece goes...since I knew he was glass artist since I had bought a few things from him, I asked if he could repair. He said he's never done anything like that and wasn't comfortable doing it...I told him I didn't care if he was successful and would not hold him liable...I said if you're successful, then you can add that to the list of glass skills you have. He did and it was fine.

I've only owned four or five bubblers. The D020 was my first and the D020-D my second. Once I got the D020-D I never used the D020 again and now that I have the Goo Roo Large Inline I never use either one.

I got the D020 when I had a Tubo X and I could never milk it up well either despite using the same Evic mod, Tubo firmware, and official resistance. Likely my fault as I was never too experienced with the X or the D020.

What other vapes do you use with water? The Tinymight was a revelation for me: in general I use my Splinter Zs more than the TM and more than any other portable I've owned but the TM is so easy and quick I don't even fuck with my other portables with the Large Inline

Okay, that makes sense, yeah Matrix has no resistance and is difficult to milk up as well, I like a smooth pole but it is too smooth and too much filtration and not the best way imo also make sense you cannot milk up the D020 as it is quite small and similar as @bossman said (btw buddy he said above he's using TP80 and WS ) So yeah especially for the tetra it can be nice to have some restriction because it has such wide open air flow, I think that is why it works so well on my straight fab FOL since the mouthpiece is so restrictive... Also WS will probably rip hard through something more restrictive... I think your head is in the right place for the double perc one, gives you that right angle style and is taller, nice inline perc for a smooth pull, then through the mushroom circ perc, which itself is also going to be a smooth pull, however the two of them stacked is going to provide more restriction and chug for you, to get going and really should be able to milk this piece up really well with TP80 and WS I think! (It is similar to using a hydro tube on top of a modular piece, which I have done, circ on top of circ) The last piece, would also work well, it just has the one basic circ perc, but it is a little taller than what you have, it doesn't have that right angle joint, though it does a little, it just then turns into a drop-down shower head so it's kind of like a combination of the two styles... The chamber is not so big, I do think the perc would be a bit better for milk vs D020, however that dark green color is not going to allow you to see any of the milk, you know?

That GG biao tube is super solid and I've been using it with my flowerpot for a few weeks straight now. Tube diameter felt huge at first so I got one of those silicone mouthpiece reducer things, but I haven't bothered with it lately and it doesn't feel as weird anymore. It makes me drool during my hits more than I'd like to admit, but I'm working on that

Oh damn, and that is that cool one we were excited for you to get! I wonder if it is something going on there in general with shipping lately now, I will say my more recent orders for the most part took longer than my previous orders, but some sellers were still relatively fast as usual... So I don't really understand, I guess there are more shipping services and such evident by the different types of tracking codes, but sometimes that doesn't even matter, I never had the trouble I'm having with this piece from Biao with any other seller though and I've bought from so many different ones so many pieces over the past several months! The tracking even said it cleared customs, but because it was California that distribution center has a real bottleneck where stuff just sits there, so I figured that's what was happening, I don't understand why it was then returned to sender...

Well maybe they are catching up, got a reply on Instagram finally! They have my bent neck large inline, seems like it was not sent lol and well well well, they can send it together with blue saki bottle now (originally I had ordered that a few days earlier and it had already shipped by the time I ordered the inline) So I will continue to reserve judgment, I'm sure they had tons and tons of messages to catch up on and other orders going on, I'm not surprised they would have taken care of supplying Greek Glass before their individual customers...
