Tafée Bowle

In my experience concentrates don't play nicely with the Bowle (in a sandwich at least). The screen clogs quicker than normal and you end up with a lot of resin falling through to the stem underneath the pot. It vapes concentrates or kief just fine, but because of the mess it's only as an occasional treat.
this has not been my experience, I love adding wax or kif to a bowl. Typically a partially packed 3/4 filling with the goods sitting on top just below rim. The flower wicks the oil and the vapor lasts forever

I’m trying to decide on one of the two. I mainly puff on hash, and my main device is an AVS M22. I’m just getting back into flower after a few years off from flower. I use cartridges for portability, so that’s not an issue for me. Is one of the two just a better device overall? Is it worth holding out for a TB until they release an updated model, say with machined stems?
As many have indicated, you really can’t go wrong with either. If I had to pick a better overall device, it might be the fw7. But purely for its increased portability factor. In terms of pure vapor quality I would give it to the TB. I’m a convection fan. In terms of hash, the TB has sidelined the vapman as my bubble hash vape. And I absolutely love bubble through the vapman. Wax/rosin hash I haven’t tried but it sounds like you have that covered. Also, seeing as how you’re coming back to flower from carts, the TB will give you a closer experience as operation is press button, hit immediately. Fw7 has some heat up time, not long but certainly longer than the TB, and with a touch more technique.
I’m not certain if tafee has a plan to upgrade the bowle to V2 with machined stems stock, that would be rad; Others on here would have a better idea of that. but I think the V1 is good enough to strongly consider.
I would say, if you want a more portable device :fw7
If you want a stupid simple to use device with arguably some of the best vapor quality out:TB

Don't like smell of AVB, so use jar with top rather than ashtray
I always need a poker, brush, and q-tip swab
Tool reduction effort:
Sn-B-sharpened-brush.jpg

Pencil sharpener choo'd up this S&B brush. Dull, wood, won't scratch.

Tools don't help me with my stupidity, however. Always thinking, "eh, pot must be cool by now...D'Owwww," and bounce goes the pot as I drop it on the counter
What a excellent idea! Can't find a pencil sharpener right now, so I am gonna just use the sharp knife , right now.thank you @ChooChooCharlie :science:.

Sorry if these questions have been answered, I only tune in now and then. I got my Bowle in February, in large part due to the research I did here and I'm loving it. My only concern is battery life. 750mAh is simply not enough. I am on my second puck after the first one stopped reliably charging. Tafée was great with advice and, eventually, a warranty replacement but I wonder how long this puck will last. I'm tempted to say screw the warranty and open the unit up to see if I can install a higher capacity battery. Just curious if anyone has opened up their puck (voiding the generous warranty) and tried replacing the battery?

My second question is about AVB, which I gather is short for Already Vaped Bud. (?) I discard all mine after vaping to a deep chocolate brown. Do others save it for edibles? I bake lots but only with whole bud or butter made with whole bud - mainly to maximize potency. I find it surprising there would be enough active cannabinoids in AVB to bake with. If not edibles, what is AVB used for?

I'm pretty current in the thread and I can't say I remember anyone replacing the battery, don't think anyone wants to give up their 4 year warranty. some people have bought a second unit to avoid battery issues.

for me avb is really only any good if its not to dark, though with dark avb there is some stuff left not much thc but cbn Among other heavier compounds, they won't really get you high but can aide in getting a sleepy feeling. if you want to extract better off making BHO rather than cannabutter.

Yeah it depends how extracted the bud is, and if exposed to oxygen it can transform more, a lot of what's left for me is the sleepy stuff so those edibles really leave you groggy unfortunately, the other thing you'll want to do though is water wash the toxins out before cooking with AVB, there are a lot of threads on this in another sections here on FC if you look, many great tips from very smart members!! I did an AVB chocolate milk infusion that kind of made me sick so I may now be over ever using AVB for cooking

Avb.. you can eat IT AS IT IS, IT IS already decarboxylated... Effects will BE more Sedativ.. If you do Not Like Taste you can buy empty Pill capsules and fill them... Have fun...

Thanks Bad Dog, Shit Snacks and btka. That confirms it for me. I'll continue to toss my AVB and bake only with whole bud. Bad Dog, I have a Magical Buttr machine but lately I've been going back to my original baking regimen - grind dry whole bud in a coffee grinder and add the flour-like grind to your recipe at the ratio of one gram per serving. Powerful, full spectrum edibles with great energy and no gritty bites.

On another topic, the Bowle is my only vape. I've been thinking of getting a Mighty as a second vape for camping and those annoying times I'm ready and my Bowle isn't. Any thoughts on the Mighty as a second vape? Better options? Thanks as always for the advice from this Forum.

I would not recommend the pills if you do not like the taste, you'll be having disgusting burps all day and night  of course to each their own, fortunately I have no need for avb!

And FYI made a new thread, to stay on topic here:

Back on topic AVB from my TB I would especially not bother reusing I feel like, such thorough extraction for me typically!

Pleasantly surprised to have received a new tall stem along with the stubby I ordered:) Whether it was an intentional gift to an early adopter or a little mishap at the shop…I’m grateful to the vapor gods nonetheless:bowdown:Love my bowle, powerful little guy with a potent signature:nod:
Where are you finding the stems for offer? I'm thinking of buying a short stem, even though I'm a trifle miffed with them at the moment. Awhile back I had asked if they would offer the short stem and glassware as a standalone purchase. They said they would in a couple of months and told me that in gratitude for being an early adopter they would send me a set for free, as soon as they had more stock. I asked a couple more times about it, after the most recent date they told me it would be available had passed. When I asked again last week they now are offering me a general discount code. Don't make the offer if you're not going to make good on it. I wasn't looking for free stuff, I had meant to purchase a short stem and glass, and was pleasantly surprised by the offer. Now I'm annoyed. I've been pretty supportive of them and their product on these forums, and this is not the kind of customer service they're known for.

Yeah, that's unfortunate. Talking with the same person the whole time? Maybe they aren't in a financially comfortable position with all the delays etc? Or maybe miscommunication across different people in the company. But they should recognize that they need to avoid easily avoidable things like this that can cause their reputation to take a hit

Yeah, every time I contacted them I made sure to reply to the email where they had made the offer. I had kind of written it off, but seeing the post from @Vapor Mainline kinda got me annoyed all over again. To repeat, I was more than ready to buy a short stem and glass, but it's kind of crappy to make the offer, keep putting me off and then offer me a discount code. Incidentally, they made the initial offer back in January.

@jbm - pardon me if I misunderstood you, but you can order stems on Tafée site, scroll down a ways to the Shop Accessories orange button. Pricing of the stems follows their length, $49, $59, $69

Odd -- when you select the new machined finish option, prices for all three are $109. (I would have thought 89, 99, 109) Few weeks back I emailed asking if the web page option/price configurator was mis-coded, or if it was intentional. I never heard back either, so they may be busy, or inundated with emails, or both. I like the vape so much, I'm trying to make excuses for them

He's just annoyed by a basic bait and switch bonus, the promise of something for free without request, for it to then be taken away is all... Customer service should honor offer?

Used mine in the car today, I'm hardly leaving the house and I just have to drive my car on the highway every once in awhile, the Bowle is an ideal vape for this situation! Without the drinkware, a full chamber pot, milking the lowest temp, very simple, quick and effective without taking eyes off the road

I was able to buy directly from their website. That’s a shame they aren’t honoring their previous deal:disgust:, I hope they work it out with you…

That stubby stem is killer in that situation. Worked wonders tonight on the way to see Big Boi.

can one perceive a small change in the effect of the weed through the stubby stem ?

I only ask because my general experience was that vapes with a shorter vapor path often have a stronger effect on me than those with a longer vapor path. but it can also be imagination lol

sure! it isnt your imagination, shorter vapor path means less of the vaporized goodies that can cool, condensate and stick to the sides of the pathway as reclaim and more into your system.
