Noticed you didn’t specify which “Friday”..... :)
I was able to get something from our product team. Was looking to find the best way to share here as anything interested or shared seems to have to be uploaded and pointed to on the web. Up for ideas!

I recommend this rig, more info here:

FIRMWARE SUGGESTION: Add a button combo that would FLIP the SCREEN, for proper orientation when inverted on a water rig.
Per the suggestion: GREAT IDEA! We actually have had this one on our board and just to shed some light as it sadly would take more than a firmware update. In order to perform the action, would also require a piece of hardware in the device to already exist, so that the new firmware could send that command/check in order to perform the result on the LED screen. In review, it just didn't make the cut in the IQ2 design do to cost, complexity of size, etc..

Not fully off the project board, just is going to take a different approach. Very happy that it came out as a request though! +1000 points toward it coming to life.

Lastly, interesting rig. Something is coming in the next few days. I think you may shift your setup here!

Whoops too late to edit, but I just used my IQ2 with my new vigreux cooler by @Vlad the Inhaler aka 508phineas on Instagram from @VGOODIEZ and it is so useful with so many vapes, great quality design, super thick glass, and great price!

As far as the “display flip”, I figured the IQ does NOT have the AUTOMATIC “orientation” hardware built-in, though they are tiny enough to fit in an iPhone.

The reason I still made the suggestion, is I was playing around with some of my old ECig mods, that are TINY, 1/3rd the size of the IQ, cheap $30 ones. I know there is NO hardware to automatically flip the display on these, but several of these have a button combo press, that can MANUALLY FLIP the readout. Since the IQ display is just an LED display board, I actually think a manual screen FLIP, could be done by firmware, a button combo would have to be programmed in, so it could be user activated, not as slick as motion orientation sensors etc., but still useful.

As far as “sharing” a document, a link to a PDF is easy, but obviously the file has to reside somewhere, like Dropbox, a Devinci web server, etc.

I was lucky enough to buy a used IQ2 at a good discount. I love everything about the device except for the retail price. Would be nice if you made a cheaper version for $200. @Davinci_vaporizer also color leds so you can see them better.

Wanted to add I like this device so much because with 10mm mouthpiece it cools well. Flavor is good, you can taste terps, love the curved bottom for filling. Also its easy to use outdoors in the cold, just have to wait for it to heat up.

If you wanted to improve anything I would say make it heat a little better and a little quicker. I have a $160 vape I recently bought that has similar oven but heats faster and extracts vapor out of the plant better.

The manual way with button combination is definitely a possibility. We can explore this more and I am sure will be something considered more highly in the coming development.

Appreciate your insights! As well, thank you for highlighting the things you are enjoying about your IQ2!

This is a well-built device with a lot of material selections and complex technical stack that warrants the cost we have set for the device. To compare to others, we would have to break down more of the science in the heating elements, materials chosen, air-path and programming. In the end, we know that our temperature precision is unopposed to most in the market. That being said, when you experience other "faster" heating vaporizer, we must shed light on how inconsistent their temperature may be, and that the materials chosen may heat faster, but also have downsides that may have short-term or long-term harmful effects.

Those terps you taste, and the cooling effect from the 10mm water adapter are custom engineered to produce those results, and others awaiting to be discovered.

I think to sum it up well; we design, engineer and manufacture the most advanced precision vaporizers with the purist and connoisseur in mind. Welcome to cannabis vaporization rethought and engineered to be an experience apart from the rest. Cheers.

I received the spacers this weekend, and after my first use with them I just want to say wow now this really is officially the ultimate session conduction portable!

PXL-20210214-225724761.jpg

Nice that there are two sizes, and the different materials is interesting as well... More testing needed, though I agree with what others have said here so far: both work well however the zirconia seems superior.

PXL-20210214-230433151.jpg

I started with the zirconia and tried the glass after, both the large spacer with lemon cello herbs. The glass worked fine, but I think the thermal dynamics just aren't as good, maybe since the rest of the parts are zirconia too?

PXL-20210214-232119648.jpg

So it makes sense to me that the zirconia spacer is a new improvement. Seems to get more flavorful clouds, temp stepping from 340 to 398 by 11 over around 15min or so? Above is the avb from the bowl with the zirconia spacer, great extraction for what I got out of it, did not want to take it any darker, stopping when flavor fully fades...

Downside of spacers is unloading becomes a bit more involved, but not an issue at home now anyway. And just really nice not having to load so much, makes this a very efficient vaporizer too! Who knew such a small accessory would elevate it so much, I mean I guess it did start out pretty high already!

@Shit Snacks you have a gift for photography. Questions: Did you pack the bowl first and then add the spacer? Did you pack it any differently then normal? Was the grind done with the BCG fine plate? Thanks

I made some ZIRCONIUM SPACER notes in this post:

Scroll down once there, some additional notes on measured amounts. I’ve been using only MEDIUM BCG grind in my IQ2.

You're too kind, I'm notoriously horrible at taking photos, but I finally have a phone with a decent camera at least!

Yes I loaded the bowl, using Rogue Wax Works scoop, packed it down with the other end of a Delta 3D scoop tamp, then loaded the larger sized spacer on top and closed it up with pearl fully screwed in. Totally lucky that it was perfect fit, for both sessions, always thought I was bad at eyeballing amounts too lol

So yeah pretty much normal packing, like same way I tried to do half-back bowls before but yeah so much better with the spacer!

And yes that is from my BCG fine, I ground upside down a bit at first too for consistency... I like a more fine medium grind for my conduction vapes, though sometimes I will use a bit more medium coarse grind too.

Anyone get that new Davinci pod holder? I was just about to when I realized it only holds the pods themselves and not the silicon sleeves so I just ordered another set of the pods. The other day I opened some new flower, ripped off enough to fill a pod just on a lark and was shocked at the clouds I got even on Smart Path 2. Extremely tasty.

Does a Dynavap fat mouthpiece enable the IQ2 to become a 14mm compatible vape? Or should I get a regular glass adapter?

Use an UNGROUND 10mm joint fitting for your valued DV STEMS. Ground glass is like fine SANDPAPER, and will mar and scratch the Zirconium IQ2 MP.

@Shit Snacks well you convinced me... just ordered some of those spacers. Really looking for anything to help get this vape back in my rotation lol

Interesting that the spacer goes on top of the flower, weird concept I think but we'll see how it goes!

@BrianTL My understanding is that the glass/zirconia spacers are simply an extension of the pearl with the same intended purpose for smaller loads. Could be wrong though.

That makes sense, I guess I was just picturing a weird mating of the flat spacer to the rounded pearl. Would be cool if the spacer was rounded where it meets the pearl, not sure how possible that is with Zirconia though.

I've never used any spacers. My tolerance is a little on the high side. I load the IQ2 up and get quite a few solid hits from it. Took me a while to learn the correct packing technique. This is one of my favorite vaporizers.

It's not a tolerance thing for me, just efficiency. Regardless of where my tolerance is, the amount of flower going into my IQ2 was/is not really delivering the expected results. I've always felt that my other vapes get me to where I want to be with less than half of the amount of flower that the IQ2 takes to get me there. Perhaps it's my packing technique but I've tried a lot of different ways lol

I think that would drastically reduce air flow by blocking all the air channels in the spacer.

I can see that. Hard for me to talk about these without actually holding them in my hands lol. Should have them this week though!

Haha yeah @BrianTL it is basically a way to load less, but keep it all packed tight with zirconia surface areas surrounding the herb. And yes the round pearl allows there still to be good air flow, so it doesn't block the holes in the spacer, though regardless this does restrict air flow vs not using a spacer btw

Spacers were a key part of the old Indica vaporizer, a session conduction portable built to do all the things the old pax failed at, part of that was the spacers that would go in the bowl and allow you to use any amount of herbs effectively... So yeah I am thrilled to see them here again, after having had the Ascent way back when, needing to use it with my own pieces of glass in the bowl lol

The spacers work great, I had the IQ, I recently upgraded to the IQ2. Imho, this is the best portable session conduction vape. Got it for $220, the IQ2, I use both spacers separately, depending how much I want to smoke. 25% material I use the larger spacer great for wake and bake or just to get you going in afternoon. 50% filled with materials use smaller spacer sometimes 75% depending how tight or loose I pack it. I rarely fill it up to the ceramic line. Use the spacers like the ball on the top of the bowl door.

When you have lot of people fill it to ceramic line. This vape produces great flavors and great clouds. You can rip good clouds with it, and the new air path helps dramatically on air flow or pull. I would put it up there with the Mighty, the newer IQ2 is much easier to clean now that they fixed the anal cavity...lol. Plus the IQ2 is smaller and to me one of the top legitimate small go to portable vape. Sure there might be a few out there better, but for the price, what you get with the IQ2, can't beat it. Just my opinion of course and I'm sure its about preferences etc.

This is really a good vape, I find it odd it doesn't get more love. The flavor and cooling is really astounding considering how small the vape is. I love the portability of the pax but this is a much better product imo. Smart paths are a useful feature and hopefully we see more companies adopt it going forward. But, I have to agree with @BrianTL, efficiency is not a strong point of this vape. Overall, its quite good, I think (some) people hate it without even having used it. I do need to use it more I've only had mine a month, but so far I'm pleased.

The spacers completely solve the efficiency issue too! Truly top tier session conduction
