Tafée Bowle

I have an idea. It's concerning my current health issue. I've decided to order the Bowle. When wifey finds out that I spent a small fortune for a Rube Goldberg device she will plant her foot so far up my ass that the kidney stone will eject like canon fire.

One last question before ordering - is there a significant difference in cooling between the short and long stems?
Only difference is if you want to hold a larger amount of liquid when the cup is on top of the puck. Otherwise, no real difference has been reported,

Before I placed my order, I had asked the Tafée rep this question and their reply was that the size does not make a discernible difference in cooling. He further advised, if my intent was to use sans cup, the shorter stem would most likely be preferred.
I feel that the short stem... the only one I have, keeps the vapor very cool!
I was floored when I walked outside and it was just sitting against my door... Convenient when it works out, but man, it seems risky
You can do as I did.
Contact Fedex, and have it sent to a Walgreen's store.. They are set up with Fedex...That is what I did to avoid the package being left at door.
The Walgreen's was very close to home, and I picked the Bowle up there.
In these times, packages that could potentially be left unattended is risky.

Nah, my earlier comment was just meant as a tip for any vape. I found that my herb would stick to my tamp tool so I started doing the dry-pull instead to condense it down.

As far as the Tafee, I admit I'm genuinely intrigued and maybe even a bit surprised by the positive rapport. That said, a lot of it is being sung by folks who change vapes constantly. Swear I heard a similar tune in a few other recent threads just weeks ago. If they're still using it by February I'll be more convinced.

For myself, the currently reported battery life leaves me uncertain. I watched the Mighty take a serious hit in capacity in just a year. It's been reported that battery replacement might be very easy with this vape - I think if that's the case the manufacturer should really be making a point to make this known to people. If the biggest con is that heavier users will have to remove three screws every year to swap the battery, I think a lot of people could live with that. My thing is I'm lazy, so I tend to just prefer a plugged in desktop over a cordless vape that has to live on the charger at my usage. If it had true pass thru charging I think it would be a different tune. To me, the ideal vape would be like a laptop, leave it plugged in most of the time, but it's got enough capacity to do a few Bowles unplugged. That said, if the vape quality is that good that's what really matters the most.

I would like to test one out as I see a few potentials for upgrades. Maybe I'll send them a message on Instagram, and see If they will send me a kit too? :D
Ive been pretty vocal in my opinion on the use of aluminum in vapes, so if I liked it that would be pretty interesting. I'm certainly open to being proven wrong :D
I hear ya on many of these points. FWIW, I am not one that bounces around from vapes, I get the best one for me and it is rare they get displaced from use. Until the P80 came out, my most used devices were the eNano and MiniVap. None of my other pieces smash me like Bowle though. Same material, same amount, Bowle gets me far more medicated... then you must take into account flavor (better than anything else I have), and how smooth the vapor is (not harsh)... it is so well built, and simple, I do think it will stand the test of time.

Eerily similar...so you are saying the bowle will start really good then slowly deminish until it feels like the OG grasshopper all over again? Please say it ain't so?🙃

No they're all great vapes that fit different uses and lifestyles, while they can also compliment each other quite well. I might have a big collection, but I would not call it changing vapes... Sure some get used more than others, especially some more recent acquisitions, but I don't fully move on from them unless they had a problem for me... It's just that no vape I have is the perfect one yet I guess? I mean not worth buying something new unless it is different enough, but then there are also those that I buy to collect too like RBT vapes... I mean VAS is as VAS does

It arrived, charging it now. Looking forward to trying it. Had hoped they’d throw in the smaller cup, but nope. Apparently if you buy the complete kit there’s no extras to send you. Lol.

Is the cup complementary still? I'm somewhat tempted, can't afford the whole set up and it looks weird without the cup. I would hate to throw in 300 big ones and have half the set up.

Yes, I ordered without the cup, as it's been said, if you do so you will get the cup anyway and the potter+, but as sticks just said, that is only a week left promotion if even?

I did a first bowl of Jack Herer in it. Levels 1 and 2. Nicely medicated. Drank water between hits. I like. Great flavor. Haven’t settled into a groove yet, but I think this is going to be a good one. Damn, forgot to clean the stem and mouthpieces beforehand. Oh well. I might switch to the tall mouthpiece, the short one is a little odd. They say you should avoid drinking on the stem side; I’m wondering if I might forget that after a couple bowls. Incidentally, in the full manual online, they specifically say to fill the drinkware with “drinking water or non-alcoholic beverage.” ??

They purposely did that as the company didn’t want alcohol associated too closely to vaping herb.

your cup can handle alcoholic beverages.

That is likely because alcohol, can shatter the acrylic, and it will look like a spiderweb, and eventually fall apart.

EDIT: I stand corrected. Recent posts have clarified that diluted alcohol is safe enough , and that "image" was the issue, as explained here:

I started using the large cup for my nightly vodka/cranberry back around Jan. 3rd - the following is the link to the review.

I haven't seen any deterioration in the acrylic and I will continue using it this way until I do. I do rinse it each time I'm done and I never put the vodka in first so the vodka isn't at full strength. Aside from Vito's recent mention there was mention earlier in the thread that the acrylic cup could be damaged by alcohol so I'm probably tempting fate.

"I asked the manufacturer about our drinkware questions, and got the following response, with permission to share:

""Alcoholic drink isn't an issue for the drinkware. We took the cautions stance to avoid misconceptions we are promoting liquor paired with cannabis. But usage wise, I wouldn't be able to tell if someone used alcohol in their drinkware, so users can decide to do as they please. As long as pure alcohol isn't sitting stored overnight, it's fine.

If anyone succeeds in building condensation, nothing to bother at all. USB and lights are IP rated to protect internals. Moisture from condensations can only exist on the externals in very prolonged use with ice in drinkware and not activating the oven at all. We've tested all these scenarios. Nothing to bother about so far.

For anyone wanting hot drinks right now, we recommend they should get the small version... Less volume, less hot mass.""

Also, he acknowledged there are a lot of possibilities for the space the cup takes up. They will do more, and are open to collaborating with people with ideas."

Quoted by Stickstones Dec 29/20 from the manufacturer.

It'd be really easy to turn the Bowle into a bubbler with a fairly simple silicone lid that seals the cup and, separately, the open end of the stem. Have an air-channel that goes from the end of the stem, up into the lid, and to a drop-down that plunges down into the cup. Have a hole for a mouthpiece somewhere on the lid and include one that looks like a standard sippy straw. My mock-up:
