Just so weird that this many months have past and nowhere on the net has anybody directly answered the question about Satan's anus. It's almost like asking about Hunter Biden! Lol.

I had put this vape into and out of a cart at least 10 times back when it first released. I have also continued to read all the posts here and on VC. I have googled it as well. My IQ works fine, but I would be excited to trade it in for the IQ2 if I could just get a clearer picture of how difficult it is to clean between the oven and the flavor chamber.

Is it easier to clean? Then I would definitely upgrade. Is it the same? Then maybe, but probably not. Is it, God forbid, more difficult? Then absolutely not.

:peace:

Sorry I cannot really answer the question for you based on my own experience since I never used the original IQ (or had to clean my IQ2 yet honestly) but from my own research following the IQ2 when it came out, people who had both and were able to compare, confirmed that the 2 is definitely easier to clean and that the problematic area is designed better (though perhaps it is still not 100% perfect, definitely better than before) Hope that helps you decide if you want to jump in! It is pretty classy, high quality session conduction, with a lot of unique features in a very compact package!

I'm in exactly the same position as you (see my previous posts) and am somewhat perplexed as to why no one appears to have provided a definitive answer to this question seeing as it's the main frustration I and others such as yourself have with the original IQ which is an otherwise fantastic conduction vape that I really enjoy using when clean.

Like you I would've probably pulled the trigger on upgrading to the IQ2 already had someone provided a clear answer.

From my own research and so far as I can tell there is still a gap between the oven and the flavour chamber but it isn't offset like in the original IQ, so it still requires a bit of effort to clean but I'm hoping that swabbing with an ISO soaked cotton bud will be enough.

It certainly doesn't sound like it's any more difficult to clean the IQ2 compared to the original device from what I can tell but I would love to know what the function is for designing that gap between the oven and flavour chamber as it seems totally unnecessary to me.

In the end the current black Friday deals on the IQ2 were tempting enough for me to go ahead and upgrade and I'll be sure to come back to this thread with my opinion on this issue.

Well put brother. I cannot wait to hear your reaction.

This is purely speculative, but I think the reason for the gap is because the rubber gasket is necessary to form an airtight seal, but you don't want that rubber sitting directly up against the oven?

Peese, good luck, Happy Thanksgiving!

I bent the hell out of the metal pick removing the flavor chamber. Of course, now it (the pick) will not fit in it's slot. I am going to attempt to straighten it out.

I never owned the IQ so I cannot compare ease of cleaning. I must say, I have no issues (with the exception of the recalcitrant flavor chamber) with cleaning the device.

Has anyone been able to use a glass mouth piece?

I am considering purchasing another Tinymight or another IQ2. Damn VAS and Black Friday !! My Tinymight has some issues (although when it works properly it's wonderful) and dealing with Tinymight customer service - well you know. It is significantly easier and much faster to work with Davinci support (located in the USA).

I am waiting for a response from Davinci hoping that they will, as with Bortz, match the Herbalizer Store price.

I reached out to Davinci too and haven't heard back yet either. I will give it a little more time as they must be very busy.

I just checked Davinci site and learned that the Herbalizer Store is an authorized reseller. I may just buy from them, however I did not see the extended mouthpiece or the pick tool offered.

Yup. They're now showing 3 in 1 pick tool is available. I just heard back from DaVinci. They are taking care of me and they are awesome!

Nice! can't say I'm surprised though!

Yeah I got a 10 mm to 14 mm reducer so I could use my IQ2 with my glass pieces, I think I posted a little in here. Using natively with the long mouthpiece is already very nice experience, but it was fun to mix it up, and using the pwnt mini hydro tube on high temps really ripped and got me ripped lol

Davinci IQ2 Canada black Friday sales are/were 30% off on a few websites . I helped a friend choose and buy an IQ2 as his first vape and electronic vape. It will be the first conduction and Davinci vape among out group of friends. It stretched his budget significantly, but ultimately appeared worth the price on sale (after a bunch of reading and reviews)... its features and strengths hit the spot 👍. I look forward to seeing how the IQ2 vape goes for him and his experience. Will try to report back.

I didn't even check here for feedback until after the purchase, haha . Still... so far so good. IMO, these are underappreciated vapes on FC.

I'm new here and while it sounds like the cleaning issue differences haven't been discussed in this thread, fwiw I've found two IQ2 reviews that mention that this very issue has been addressed and fixed... i.e. the IQ2 is much much easier to clean.

https://www.vaposhop.com/blogs/davinci-iq2-in-depth-review/

"Satan's anus" even mentioned here.

My friend is a big smoker and the IQ2 bowl size with swappable batteries was appealing. He'll need easy cleaning so we'll see how it goes. :sherlock:

Hope it goes well :peace: :leaf:.

My friend is excited to get the Davinci IQ2. Bring it on. Thx for the support.

Good eye @Bazinga if you mean the Herbalizestore.... great prices, authorized seller, big footprint, etc. That's where my friend just purchased the IQ2.

My quick education on the IQ2 (and my friend's) has been entertaining so far and included...

I haven't been around here lately, but I should chime in here.

I own several IQs, and the last several months (since May 2020) I've switched to the IQ2 (I have 3 of them now). So I have lots of experience now with both.

The IQ2 is definitely an upgrade from the IQ.

Stuff that bothered me on the IQ--
* Got too hot
* Glove slipped off easily
* Very hard to clean (dogleg in air path was a very bad idea)
* Top kept popping up
* Rather harsh vapor

The IQ2 is better--
* Gets hot but not as bad
* The IQ1 glove does fit, and doesn't slide much, but the bottom of the IQ2 sticks out a bit (1/8 inch). I still use it.
* About average to clean. There is no dog-leg in the path now, it's a straight shot and you can see all the way through. I do have to swipe a few cotton swabs with iso down in there, and maybe poke out the holes sometimes with a wire. It's much better than before. I wouldn't rate it "easy", but it's good.
* Getting the flavor chamber out can be hard if there's resin caked up. Heating the unit helps with this, but it's still a bit of a pain.
* Top never pops up, this one stays closed nicely,
* Vapor is less harsh, I think because of the better airflow.

I don't bother with the apps or the fancy dosing features. Those are useless as far as I'm concerned, just gimmicks to put in the ads.

I'd rate the IQ1 about a 6 out of 10, and the IQ2 about an 8 out of 10. It's not perfect but it's darn good. I use two IQ2s multiple times daily and they are holding up quite well.

Hope that helps y'all :)

FWIW Davinci’s has a ‘Lowest Price Guarantee’ policy stated on their website. They will price match any of their Authorized Resellers sale prices. Simply email or phone their 800 number to receive a discount code for purchase directly from them.

Question: Heat in the IQ unit was a problem Davinci supposedly addressed in the IQ2 by adding more insulation and increasing the size. Do any IQ2 owners think that this is still a noticeable problem in their unit? Waiting for after Christmas sales.

Mine gets warm, but uncomfortably warm. Always held it in my bare hands no problem, its actually nice.

It doesnt get as hot as idk, "hot hands" if you've ever held those... little pocket size hand warmers for being out in the cold.

My friend picked up their IQ2 Monday from an excellent Black Friday sale. Brought it over here this weekend. So far so good . TLDR below - we both definitely highly recommend the IQ2 vaporizer.

New owner experience detailed with the IQ2 so far, and mine as well, for the IQ2 community here.

My combuster friend with the new IQ2 from Monday has only combusted once since then in the last week, all since vaping; that's already impressive success 🎉🎆.

And over time with more and more use, the new owner has been impressed with the IQ2 vape as they have been dialing in methods, settings and techniques. I was able to try the IQ2 as well and we were both really impressed with the flavors when the IQ2 is clean. It's the first conduction vape picked up among our group of friends.... with all the other electronic vapes being quality units that use either hybrid or full convection designs... (portable and desktop vapes too)

And count me impressed as well with the IQ2
thumbup2.gif
. It looks great, feels great and is even heavier than I thought it would be. I love the ultraportable size dearly... and the IQ2 looks very well made and built, with smart features everywhere. The new owner didn't like the cover so the IQ2 goes naked (the black model for discreteness). The display is great on many levels, the bowl is huge (way bigger than my VapeXhale EVO) and the haptic feedback is great. I agree the flavors were excellent in a clean IQ2, but like all portable vapes, it will need some regular cleaning. The IQ2 oozes quality in your hand. It needs a cleaning now as flavors have degraded. The owner is supposedly picking up ISO and cue tips today. Personally, PBW is the best cleaner I've found. The IQ2 looks very straightforward to clean which is excellent. Does anybody else here have any IQ2 cleaning feedback from personal use? Successful and easy to keep clean with excellent flavors? Tips/advice?

The IQ2 draw restriction wasn't as bad as I was expecting... imo it was just a little more restrictive than the Crafty / Mighty. I'm a happy long term Crafty vape owner and the IQ2 makes it feel like a bit of a toy  (with some significant better features). Measuring the draw with the display is really cool with the IQ2... and in use works well ☄️. The IQ2 has a number or impressive touches and refinements such as that.

The IQ2 can heat up in your hand significantly, and can definitely get hot... but so far it hasn't gotten uncomfortably hot when holding (I can see how IQ owners want feedback as they are reportedly hotter). Frankly, the owner and I have both been glad the IQ2 has not gotten any hotter.

I tell ya, the heat, weight and the excellent tactile nature of the IQ2 in the hand all combines to bring a multidimensional enjoyment and experience across the senses
MexWave.gif
. And this IQ2 has been very consistent so far. It's also extracting excellently with dark AVB. The new owner has already tried and enjoyed the flavor chamber with fresh lemon and lime peels. The IQ2 looks very well designed and flexible. And the owner tried and successfully vaped ground flower in the IQ2 packed with some concentrates sandwiched in the middle (didn't have the concentrates chamber around with that visit, but supposedly trying it shortly). How do people here enjoy concentrates in the IQ2?

After a week the new owner is investing more into the Davinci IQ2 vaping ecosystem. And I totally think it's worth it. They've ordered a digital 4 battery 18650 charger off Amazon (for fast multi battery charging) and are looking to get a grinder. They still haven't downloaded the app . Without even trying yet, I know it will be very impressive.

And cheers to FCing... over the last few days my combuster friend with the IQ2 has shown a fair amount of coughing, clearing the lungs. It's definitely been noticeable. We discussed it, and they're not sick so we've chalked it up to their lungs beginning to clear up the residue from decades of combusting cannabis. It fits.... and is looking to be another successful FC story here on FC .

So far the IQ2 vape looks great to another new owner and me. This new Davinci product is definitely underrated imo. I noticed that Davinci even has a toll free support phone number... niiice
yes.gif
. Nice touch for sure, plus the 10 yr warranty and Black Friday pricing :luv:.

I'm Saturday night vaping, so sorry for any grammar awkwardness here...

I look forward to hearing from more IQ2 owners here and their experience.

:peace: :leaf:

My second IQ2 was shipped on November 29th. Tracking indicated delivery date of Dec 4th. Still haven't received it. Tracking, since Dec 4th, states the item is on it's way to the next location. A visit to the post office was useless. They insist that the package will eventually be delivered.

Now here is the good part. Yesterday I contacted Davinci via email asking them how I would file a claim with the post office. Shortly thereafter I received a reply from Davinci that they would immediately ship a replacement. I told them to hold off another week as I realize that mail is very slow at this time.

The point here is that Davinci has provided me with fantastic customer support. Their responses are lightning quick. I wish Tinymight customer support would learn from Davinci. My TM is not working properly and I've received no response from TM. The TM doesn't even make a good paperweight. I contacted TM 11/30/20 and 12/11/20. No response.

Also, I have no issues cleaning the IQ2. It not in the least bit difficult.

Can't say enough good things about Davinci !!!!!
