I've owned a OG brick for 2 days now. I'm getting the hang of it after combusting several times lol I'm sure it's been mentioned before but forgetting to close the carb = guaranteed combustion, really fast and blocking that hole with the cork is a very good idea for stoned novice brick owner. Since corking it's bung hole combustion hasn't really been an issue. Vape production is a bit random with both killer and teaser hits, but fun all the same. I love playing with the thing, snappy magnets and blocks are cool.

Keep your bowl at half filled. consistency is key. Every bowl the same.

Restrictor disk in? My experience was that the feeling of riding the edge of combustion goes away with the disk and I'm capable of denser hits and more rapid extraction with less risk that way.

I didn't use the restrictor. I'm way to hard (stupid) for that. Seriously I thought it would be counter productive to learning proper technique, training wheels don't teach balance. You sell it well though, I'll have a play.

I already own a SBJ for a couple of years now and i’m very satisfied with it but i was so tempted to try the other models so i got myself a Hydro Brick Maxx cherry and a Sticky Recycler Hydrotube and i’m very happy about my purchase :brow: The Glass feels nice and very sturdy. I will try it with other vapes too.

where was the glass from? haven't seen those available since forever

Apperantly I got the last piece from an EU shop, it's not available anymore after my purchase.

But like mentioned in the Hydrobrick Thread there seems to be some nice Hydrotube immitations available at DHGate and much cheaper, perhaps a good alternative?

@bossman and @Warpdrive thanks for encouraging the restrictor disc, it's made a huge difference. They should call it the super disc so that idiots like myself are more likely to use it
Wow, these brick things can perform, nukes big loads hard and fast which is what I like :) also quite enjoying the woody taste.

While I always use the restriction disk, I hear flipping it upside down works better maybe...???
I've never tried it 🤔

Glad we could help. I too tried to avoid the disk at first ("fuck you! you can't restrict me!") and in reality it's the disk that unlocked my limba og. I can get much denser hits with the confidence that I'm not about to make my Brick smell like burnt ass from accidental combustion.

The other thing to finesse is the flame length on your single torch. With my Honest torch even a small adjustment can make a noticeable change to the pace of extraction. And yeah I agree that the flavor almost seems better from the wood. I'm sure the big mouthpiece helps too.

OK, I just had my after breakfast session. Two half bowls on the Runt. About 0.13 grams each. With the restriction disk flipped pointing up instead of normal.

First bowl session style - 5 hits plus a clear.
Second bowl 2 hit wonder mode - 2 hit + clear

Much less charred per hit. Feels a bit less aggressive but most won't notice. I could be wrong. I'll continue to test with it flipped all day today as I'm curious. I want to test more for control or aim of a single outlet next. But so far so good. I think that one more session style with a single outlet and a single hit clear on my WP is about to happen after dinner.

I use two torches. A single outlet for sessions and a 4 outlet for 1 and 2 hit wonders. Consistency is everything. Bowl size, torch heat, distance and draw speed (start painfully slow just for a second to heat up the bowl, then increase your speed as you move away the flame). Consistency is everything in the beginning. Just my 2 cents

Hi guys,
I am thinking about buying a Sticky Brick on Black Friday.
But there is one question that makes me decide.
How is it with the butane gas? Is there any harmful residue of butane gas inhaled during firing?

If the lighter is burning correctly and you use a high quality zero impurity butane, there should be no issue. I use Newport butane and you can search youtube for videos on making sure you're lighter is working correctly

Hi,
Let me present you my (boy) friend...my Runt (black limba).
To continue the thread, I personnaly use it with the restrictor disc that offer simplicity and more certitude when vaping. It probably hits harder without?...I don't know yet. Whatever, it's a incredible vape! Easier to use that i thought. Love the style, the flavor and the versatility.

Again, the restriction disk only restricts control and not the amount of calories.

CONFIRMED: with the disk flipped you will get less charing and maybe a half hit extra per bowl. You lose no more control than normal installed. I still didn't do a one hit clear on the water pipe yet, but I'm convinced. Flipped may be better for you and you should try it. 👍

@Stu or any other moderator please combine the above with my last reply and then delete this if you feel like it. Or not 🥱

no gas is left after the blue light (complete combustion) only co2/h2o, which is ok to inhale in minimal doses

Thanks for the answer. Then I have no more concerns.
Now I just have to decide on the right model.
Which are your favorite models and why?

You can't really go wrong with the Runt. It's flexible enough to easily be used dry or through water, IMO perfect bowl size, easily handled...

Other than the runt if you dont intend on running it through water, the OG is great for dry hits from what I understand. I believe you can get an angled intake like the runt also.

I guess the junior would be good if you're planning to take it with you a lot.

Recently been using a triple jet lighter and it's like a whole new animal. I've been throwing my Jr. on a small bubbler with no water and using the bigger heat source. Holy shit, the hits are insane. This thing is super impressive and if you've only been using a single flame, I highly suggest trying a 2 or 3 flame lighter. It does take some adjustments and getting used to it, but the hits I'm getting are beautiful.

I use two torches for this reason. It's a night and day different animal on a water pipe.

We call them the training wheel around the shop, whenever someone new tries one we always recommend them. They are so much fun, and definitely make a huge difference. When you can vape with your eyes closed, that's usually about when it's a great time to try without the disc again.

How fast are you inhaling with the triple? That's quite a bit more horsepower
