The first item says Switch, is this the standard unit with a white and black ceramic cup, standard carb and standard glass and the Premium bundle just adds the other 3 items to a basic set up?

Yes, you get the standard Switch kit with everything already inside, plus you get the extra listed items as well. The Bundles are killer deals in my opinion.

Already sold out? Guess that means another six months before we see more.

We will have more Sidewinder glass in stock by the end of next week. Make sure to click the "Email When Available" link on the product page to get a notification when more arrive.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I think I'm gonna try one of these after all
I look forward to your impressions on the Switch, I skipped the whole bong on atty toys you are frustrated with so will be quite interested.
I have wasted 12 months of my life not having one...if there are some crazy deals on for Black November I might not be able to say 'Not yet' again to myself.

Sidewinder back in stock!

What he said!!! We also have Electro Ball Rigs back in stock and a ton of new caps. The Coil cap actually hits really nicely for a smaller/cheaper option. We have more new Switch glass coming soon. As always, this thread will be the first to know. Happy Friday everyone!

@DabberChase could you provide some insight to the differences consumers can expect between the different attachment pieces? Plan to buy a Switch to see what I'm missing with my Gpen Connect rig. Thanks!

I can't wait to try the Switch, I bought it from Cream City Vape but the damn thing is stuck in USPS hell since a month. At this rate I'll have received all the accessories before the vape itself. The worst part is I know I'm not done waiting because the package still have to cross the border and it can take a week or two before it's processed. The best I can do right now is to stare at the sunset cap I got and look at the pretty colors.

I've been using a Switch since Feb 2020. I was using an Arizer Solo with water attachment vaping flower. I wanted to get into dabbing. Since then I have amassed a nice selection of concentrates so I can learn the differences etc. I am still learning. I have pretty much been using the Switch exclusively now with the occasional flower vape. I will get back to flower but for now am enjoying concentrates.

The single most important thing I use with the Switch is an SiC crucible. It makes a huge improvement in terms of the quality of the vape. In fact I bought a replacement recently just in case.

If you have any questions dont hesitate to ask.

Out of interest I settled on 540F as the ideal temp with the SiC. Now I am experiencing with using additional SiC bearings in the cruicible. Interesting stuff!

How is the switch compared to a torch and banger? Or an enail for that matter.

That I can't say: I've only dabbed with the Switch. I knew about the various other dabbing tools but I didn't want ot get into the whole torch thing. But when I saw the Switch on Geting Doug with High, I really liked the idea. In Feb I decided to get one.

What’s the cleanup like? Is there much reclaim/refuse left over?

The water tool needs to be cleaned. I use a orange based soak. The inside of the GonG accumulates condensed vapour which is a sticky thin layer. clean up is with paper towl and iso. Some oil can axxummulate in the bottom of the GonG which also needs to be cleaned with iso. I usually pour some iso to fill 1/2 the bottom, let it soak. I use a paper towel to soak up the iso and wipe out the inside of the GonG. It's pretty easy. The crucible can be cleaned to some degree with the self cleaning mode. Since I use it in Crystal mode I have to switch to Regular mode to activate self cleaning. Usially I need 2 cycles before its chared enough to clean out easily with iso, paper towel and then I use a piece of stainless wool pot scrubber to do a final cleaning. This is for the SiC crucible. Similar for the Ti and Ceramic. I have not use a Sapphire so I can't comment. The SiC can withstand torching. So, more often I will remove the whole crucible set up and torch it and then scrap out with the stainless wool. It's faster really. I typically clean out the crucible once or twice per extended session (evening). I prefer to have it clean to better enjoy the flavour. You can not clean it as often but the quality oft he vape reflects the lack of effort. The glassware I clean perhaps once a week. It gets a build up of a carmel like substance which seems to dissolve pretty well with an orange degreaser.

In terms of reclaim, there really is none. I tried to reclaim sme of that oil that accummulates but its so thick and sticky and hard to work with that to claim enough to use, for me, has not been worth it. No other reclaim I can see.

Well I've tried both the Focus Carta V2 and the Kandypens Oura, both are a pain but the Carta is a much better device with a ton more functionality. The reason I was thinking of getting the Switch is because it's designed different than both of the others I've tried. The switch as far as I know has a huge range of temperatures to use, not just 4 or 5 presents. They also are collaborating with MAV to make custom glass attachments. Also just getting into concentrates here and I'd rather try all the ways to dab that I can. Then again as far as budgets the Switch does cost the most of the E-rigs that I've seen.

Also I've been trying a torch and rig for the first time this week. Plus I also have the Stach rio, which has a torch but it's much more manageable the way you hold the device. If I'm careful and can get more used to a torch I'd say the Stache Rio is in the lead for me as of now. It's much better than any of the e-rigs and simpler to operate. It would be tied with a rig and torch if I thought the torch was safer.

I use the Switch in advanced mode which provides temps 300-780F in 20F increments. The display is very easy to use once you remember what range the coloured LEDs relate too. I know they say cannabanoids and terps vapourize at 410F however I find I have to go higher. I am not sure if this guideline takes into account those substances are mixed with a lot of other substances is most concentrates. I've found 520F to work best. Sometimes I will do a few reheats at 520F and then do one in the 600F and a final 700's to finish off the load. However the higher you go the harsher it gets. So sometimes I accept the product loss and don't use the higher temps. I really like all this flexibility because then I can use it to my mood at the time. I've also meansured the surface temp of the SiC crucible using a cheap thermocouple and it's pretty accurate to the setting! I was surprised by this because usually the actual is different from the setting. I only tested at 2 temps, 410F and 520F. I will meansure more later but for me thats enough evidence for me the Switch is accurate.

I'd rather keep the temp lower as I want to preserve terpenes and flavor.

Yes. You will have to accept more waste at lower temps. I find that the less refined the product the more active reside is left. Increasing temps allows it to further vape. I suppose it depends on the quality of what you are using as well. For example I find "diamonds" grade to leave very little residue other than carbon, and "shatter" to leave a fair amount of residue that can be further vaped at successively higher temps. Again the beauty of the Switch is you can reliably dail in whatever you want.

Some things I don't like: I find I hit over-heat too early so I have to wait for it cool down. It takes maybe an hour to cool down to room temp. Otherwise it can heat up but might switch off to over-temp mode in the middle of heating up. I wish it could handle more accumulated heat. This is partly a result of using the SiC which requires more heat to get to temp. I dont like having to switch to Regular mode to use Self-clean, one reason I just go to the torch. I wish oil wouldn't accummulate in the bottom of the GonG but not sure what the solution to that is.

There will always be things to improve. It's a pretty almost-perfect product. It's built like a tank too.

Sounds good. I just put like a half gram of shatter in my volcano on a drip pad. Sharing it with the wife. Dang it's outlasting the wife and I. Both pretty vaped here. I'm gonna have a good nights sleep tonight.

I see a little dripped down in the oven. Hope it's ok, but I think it will just burn off anyway. If anything I'll get some extra taste each time I vape flower!. Shouldn't have put that much but that's what the drip pad is for.

Glass attachments really just boil down to personal preference. They all work great in my opinion, even the standard glass attachment. The Hive and the Sidewinders seem to be customer favorites for oil. I usually recommend the Sidecar for flower, but it works good with oil as well.

I have been using the Snowflake and the SIC insert with a Bubble Cap. This is my favorite setup right now. I have the temp set at about 500, then I crank it up to 560 for the 2nd cycle.

?? Would 710 Coils 25mm inserts , from Shane, work in the Switch?
Guessing they are too small...

Hi. The stock Switch Crucible is 12.3mm inside diameter. I don't use the Switch SiC crucible and am not sure of its outside diameter. I do use a SiC for the Focus V Carta, which can be had cheaper. They are both 11mm OD. One is 8.6 ID and the other 9.1 ID (the former has thicker walls). In order to make up the 1.3mm difference to better fit the Ti cruicible, I wrap a few layers of tin foil around the SiC cup.

I have been experimenting with using 4mm SiC bearings in the SiC cup to aid in vapourization. Honestly for me it didn't work well. It seems the added mass of SiC requires more heating from the Switch, which makes sense. Even the SiC cup with the thicker wall requires more heat from the Switch.

I am inclined to think that a wall 1mm or less would be ideal. The smaller cup I have has a 1mm wall but the other has a 1.25mm wall and requires more heat.

I honestly don't see much benefit even using more heat. So, perhaps, stick to 1mm or less wall thickness and the OD being 11-12mm.

Looks like my Switch is truly lost in the mail but Cream City Vapes sent me a new package without any problem so a big thumbs up to them. Now somewhere, someone will wonder what the fuck to do with a Switch, a SIC cup and a saphire cup if they don't vape concentrate, but if they do, well Christmas came early for them, hope they like it!

It may show up later down the road. Probably just sitting somewhere not picked up by usps.
