Verdamper vaporizer

Does anyone still use this in 2020? I am looking for one more desktop i got the Herborizer XL, Ti and i need another i think. And im strugglng to find one i think i will enjoy. I like large bowls and taking the heater off and milking it on demand. This killed my experience of the Herbo Ti and i was not fond of the lacklustre high it produces either. So really if i was honest i would say i only own the XL and it needs competiton.

The Flowerpot isnt an option either as a user in the Herborizer thread said his high was less than the Herbo Ti so that was the only real competiton. And the Glass Symphony is dead also and i dont want to use the Hydratube system on the Cloud evo. So as you see i keep coming back to either buying a Verdamper to compete with my Herbo XL or waiting a year.

I already think i can say i would enjoy it if it was a blend of conduction and convection as the only convection vape i tried i did not feel as high as a blend of both. And like high temps too so when people say its gota huge bowl, Can be palmed to hit 210c and tastes good i keep wanting to buy one. But is it crazy in 2020? Its very old technology but i never seen people say it was an poor vape either. Everyone always said it hit like a monster?

I don’t own a Verdamper but I just wanted to say that Flowerpot isn’t much better than Herborizer (digi)ti but isn’t much worse either.
While you decide if getting a Verdamper or not
something inconspicuous that hits like a truck is a Supreme. I have a v3 dual, it really hits hard and didn’t cost much.

Yo Rodders. I think you could not fail to like the Verdamper. Of ALL the desktops, it gets the least attention and praise, vs what it merits and deserves.

I owned it for 6 years. I wish I still did, but it was never suitable for my allergies so in 2015 I downgraded to the all round softer, gentler, milder Herborizer XL.

You can fill a whole gram load, it milks heavily, easily and fast, with amazing taste and the effects are stronger and longer lasting than any other vaporizer I have tried.

You won't be up for the Supreme Rodders. It is a small bowl designed 1-3 hit system, unless you modify it like some very clever members have done here.

It hits very well but it just isn't what you are looking for.

I definitely feel confident you would enjoy the Verdamper. But check the newer model also which Vaposhop sell, it has adjustable temperature, unlike the OG which is fixed solidly at 200 ° C, but can be hotter by covering the air intake when you drag.

I agree with @Alexis !
You will enjoy this one utilizing your style of vaporizing.
The supplied bowl is large and can fit a lot of material in at one time. Take hits as you require, remove the heater and it will be ready when you are again.

I made up my own bowl for micro dosing and the VD is a beast for this!
One thing I always do is cap the top all the time for those extra milky hits.
Amazing flavor and it is my strongest vaporizer on my desk.

I reserve this one for weekend use only as it is too strong for during the week.
I also have a spare heater and power supply...just in case! LOL!

Thats what I thought, I didn't think it was isolated like the GS, never had a chance to use one of these. It's a cool design the way they maximized the length of the heating path with the two sections.

It's a very neat design and the glass is very well blown.
Very science lab type of vaporizer though but very effective.
I have often wondered about placing some mesh screens in the bottom and filling the inside wall with beads.... Maybe one day.

Just saw the travel versions.... I loved this vape in Amsterdam but the full size glass versions would look like a meth lab to my wife🥺

The travel models are interesting, but flavor chaser microdoser user—— is this a match??

What is the warmup time? My Herbalizer spoils me on startup times.

Hey man i own a Ti a weedeater and a verdamper and so far the one who hits me the hardest is th verdamper but maybe it's because of the wide bowl making the surface to vaporize wilder than the others? anyway the verdamper is a very good pick and will provide you tasty flavors as well

Yo, nice to see you around Baron, in typical jovial upbeat spirit (mostly) fairplay.

Im sure we have all felt a little cut off recently, particularly due to the sorry Demise of VLF.

That and the livestreams was a great social knit for so many of us.

Crazy times hey? Anway take care bro hope to see you around for the odd mingle.

Nice. That looks like one of Eagle Bill's old humongous old school vaporizers, though that doesn't look like Eagle Bill in the picture.
That IS like the OG Vandamper (I cant spell that shit at this time of night LOL).

And I do believe that is indeed the man. But I’m often wrong. Haha

Good night all.

@Alexis @lazylathe

You guys made me feel confident enough to decide to look at getting one from Vaposhop soon. A PC part broke last night so it may take some time but you guys are so nice and helpful. You now understand what i like and dont lol.

Its those big bowls doing it fellas, @doc_jols figured it out himself its mathmatics more herb means more thc available for surface contact and thus more good clouds and effects. This is not something you can engineer around really you can make a perfect heater but if you are in competiton with another manufactuer who has the same peefect heater the vaporizer with the bigger bowl will always win due to a larger surface area being able to extract more THC per draw and also more flavour. This is why big glass vapes seem to work and you never see any complaints but you occasinally see the odd user comment on Stainless and Titanium vapes.

Should i worry about cleaning and lifespan also?

Hey there. It is about 7 minutes to hit fully, not too long, and the Verdamper, of all devices I tried, really transports you to such a higher place instantly, like you can't wipe the smile off your face sort of grinning and irrepressible high.

So when you turn it on on you basically hear a little click and then smell something from the heating element either off gassing dust burning or the nichrome coil itself.

But there is excitement building from that second onwards so those 7 minutes go very quickly.

It can be left on forever without burning out.

Hey man, that's a really useful contribution, and very intresting to me personally.

I owned the Verdamper and XL Herbo together until 2015 ish, herbo XL since but also DigiTi.

And I could have sworn the Verdampre was that little bit next level. Just so hard to be objective in comparative retrospect.

Easy again Baron. You know, when I have seen this shot before, I think I just assumed it was a younger Evert himself.

He, of course, takes the headline prasie for the final Verdamper model, Eagle Bill left a little to the waysaide.

But I will now look up what Eagle Bill actually looks like and compare!

@rodders83

Lifespan is as long as you don't break the glass!!! :D
My two are really old units bought from another member located in Germany. He had them for many years, possibly 10 before selling them to me.
They are made very robustly and are designed to last.

As for cleaning, always remove the heater from the bowl before you finish the hit.
Always clear the WT without the heater on! This will prevent vapor traveling up the heater and depositing resin inside the joint.
Otherwise the bowl will need cleaning every now and then as well as your WT.

You can tell you are seasoned lol the backwards airflow from a fan left my XL OG Herbo all yellow with resin and thats why im so bad at the Herborizer people now about my account and cleaning access seems to be gone now too. I have a white fan noise setup you see that causes sometimes reverse airflow. So i wanted to duck the vape in iso after a few years. What do you think is that safe? The long lasting life of the element is also good news ten years is what i wanted and if it is as good as you all say and i suspect due to the sheer heater size it is, Then i will buy one in the next few weeks. When @Alexis Said the XL was mild i got a huuuuuge hardon for this vape. :D

So im reading all the thread now, I checked the vendors too and theres two systems for sale and two vendors. @Alexis Recomended Vaposhop but they only stock the system and the glass looks poor and i read all about the shrinkflation of the glass too so im leaning towards that shop Versampnochamal they have the heater 7-12v for €164, The bowl is €34 and the 7-12v transformer thing is €29 is this all you need? The entire system would be €227 but the Vaposhop system is €330 so its €100 for thier glass.

What do you all think? Would the EU power cord cause any issues with this 7-12v system in the UK? I got to admit i do not fully understand any of the power supply stuff. Its complete jargon to me so i am a bit confused about that and also if is there cinch connectors as well or something? Or has it been modernized with this 7-12v power supply?

That was a funny read Rodders!!!
Yes that back flow is deadly for gunking up the injector area quickly.
I just dip a q-tip in ISO and give it a quick wipe when i see it going yellow. Nice and easy and very fast!

It all depends on what type of glass you prefer! So it is basically whatever appeals to you style.
I have this system:

And would NOT recommend it! The glass is HUGE and it takes a LOT of lung power to get it going. Then you are high as balls with your head spinning from lack of oxygen... I never use it, only once...

If I was going to buy one now, I would either go for the big bong or the smallest one, the big one would be just because it is super cool looking to me!
The small one would most likely be a better option from an inhaling point of view.

Still that is a lot of money!
If you have a nice bong at home just buy the heater, controller and bowl. That is all you need.
That would be around 229 Euro.

Just for some more info... LOL!

It's a nickel chrome heating element and is powered up to 12V DC.
It never glows red or even slightly changes color at max temp.
It appears to be a heavy gauge wire as opposed to the VapBongs very thin wire heater that does glow.

Nice to know mate, I got 3 herbo bubblers here so i dont want or need more glass nor a female bowl so i will get the seperates minus the bubbler glass at verdampnochamal. Its my aim to get the RooR bubbler so thats €100 saved towards it.

They list two power things though, Is it really just the cheap 29.99 7-12v that one you need? Thats it? Because the Herborizer version costs a lot more i was expecting to need more than 29.99 to be spent on the power adapter.

Order breakdown
7-12v heater €164
Male 18mm bowl €34
7-12v power thing €29.99

That looks right?

This is the one I bought:

YES!!! Only 30 Euro!! Its crazy cheap and is very nice quality!

The heater:

And the bowl:

Get the MALE bowl as it will work with your Herbo WT's and it will make the whole setup a lot shorter.

Maybe pick up a few more screens as they are the larger 30mm ones. Maybe you have some lying around?

That is a nice order!!

I am actually using mine as I type tonight! Very medicated to the bone off many micro bowls!
Moved the dial to the end on the 9th bar, so turned it down quite a bit.
Fully extracts a small EQ bowl in one or two hits, not your style but it is this powerful on lower settings!.

Using the larger bowl is great for movies or chilling with some friends you trust around glass!
If everyone brings some herb, just grind it all up together and throw it in and vape for an hour or more, always 100% full convection.

To achieve those nice dense hits I always leave the top capped with a bottom piece of a spare grinder.
The vapor is just as flavorful but more potent. The lighter blue, uncapped vapor is delicious to start off with.

It works really well with the RooR Vapor tube as well! Very flavorful and smooth while white walling it with every hit with ease.
I am sure it will pair perfectly with your Herbo glass for now!

Hey all you collection of lovely, sincere guys in this Bermuda of a thread.

Oh man, you have gotten me itching to get another verdamper myself, even though it was a huge problem for me tolerance wise.

But this was always related to my respiratory infection level which currently there is hope I will be able to reduce and keep much lower for more of the time with luck and the help of a new zapping device called "parazapper" .

But also, the ability to turn the Verdamper down from set 200°C to aroind 185 or 190, could make a big difference.

In my mind, with a decent load, like 0.4-0.5 grams of superb weed, the Verdamper will still hit harder than the XL Herbo at dial 7, supposedly 200°C

I could never tolerate the XL Herbo at 8, even 7.5 was once a blue moon and noticeably more irritating to my resp. tract. 7 was always very manageable.

So my tolerance to individual vaporizer models, CAN BE related to the specific temperature.

I just miss that beast so much. It's different I swear. Every single day I used it, it was like a magical experience, a new one. It just lifted me so high. It was always like a special event.

Haha,, I'm fighting VAS hard for first time in long while. Thanks guys! :brow:;)

@lazylathe hey brother. Always pleased to see you merrily and willingly chiming in around with really spot on, accurate and useful information for other good sincere members like our lovely Irish fello @rodders83 .

So Lazy- my SSV, the neighbour gorgeous Lesdian girl "fixed " it for me, replaced heating element. I tried it but not even the dimmer switch lights up since doh!

Just waiting on another line available.

But in meantime, Verdamper VAS is killing me lol! Espec now there is a male bowl, and like I said, that glass downpipe works brill with XL Sphere, really changes the hit and is more fun and exciting than the didiy little 8 inch Sphere mouthpieces.

The whip requires lots more suction, more restricted etc.

That VD tube really enables bigger hits on XL Sphere, changes sig a bit.

I may be so crazy as to spring for the verdamper, or at least keep XL and aquire the Verdamper long mouthpiece.

Still dying to try SSV, then possibly LSV. And the Vriptech is still calling my name.

If I knew I could tolerate it I would probs have one already.

So, confession- higj tonight, on outdoor Blue Dream and Auto Cinferalla Jack, up to 26% THC. Lobely weed.

@rodders83 best luck with the verdamper mate. We are all interested and we all care and would love to hear more about your experience and journey with it and how it fits into your rotation of other vaporizers and past experience.

Hope you are doing good mate anyway and not suffering too much stress and disorganisation in life currently.
