uh oh
the "rush" is the "inconvenience" as far as I''m concerned.

that's why the normals (for lack of a better word) don't understand why people smoke/vape/whatever, because all they see is the twats that enjoy the adolescent ooh-look-at-me-aren't-i-rebellious side of it, they don't realise other people do it without having to have an audience.

hipsters are so boring :shit:

Excellent piece in the i today by Ian Birrell p. 17.
I think he's been reading my posts
My recent rant about spice and political stupidity is writ large
in his well written and researched article:

https://www.pressreader.com/uk/i-newspaper/20170417/282862255756129

Entitled: "The real drug zombies are politicians - Britain should take a leaf [geddit?] out of Canada's book and legalise cannabis."
He puts the blame for this spice epidemic directly onto the drug prohibitionists:

"MP's have created this problem through prohibitionist policies that increase harm"
and...
"Britain's response to the desire of millions of citizens to use cannabis has been a textbook study
in illiberal stupidity."

Birrell's been on this issue for a while now. Here's another good piece from late 2015.

There you go Ian - two good plugs :tup:
I challenge you to work the word 'brainiac' into one of your articles :)

I love Action Bronson.
Munch plus green- perfect.

Pensioners will keep the torys in power for years. But I think things might change if Ireland and France decriminalise. Macron in France says he will decriminalise if elected.
The Uk will be surrounded on all sides by fields of green.
Also by leaving Europe will give any uk gov more scope to change the law without EU backing.
I give it 7yrs before we see a change...
I think I said that 7 years ago....

Lib dems pledge to legalise cannabis, to be sold in shops to over 18's...
Smoke in clubs...
And most importantly, grow at home...

It may win them some votes, but I can't see another coalition happening...
It's a pointless pledge...

They may as well promise every voter a million pound.. cause its never gonna happen...

Even if there is a coalition the other party (lab or tory) could, and probably would, tell them it was off the table and the lib dems would say, "OK, as long as we can be in government".
You don't have to be a cynic - they've got form on this.

And most importantly, grow at home...
Btw @kellya86 the 'grow at home' policy would be no good for me - my garden's far too small ;)

It's good though that it's there in the manifesto. The more talk there is of legalisation the lower down the list of plod's priorities it goes. And it's pretty low already.

I'll vote for whoever is best placed to keep the tories from winning in this constituency - even if that's the lib dems. If we had PR I'd vote green.
What Britain needs even more than cannabis legalisation is electoral reform. This system is broken. Unless you live in a key marginal you can stay in bed on polling day.
The use of cannabis is a benign act of civil disobedience.
Vaping is political.

Use cannabis in Parliament, Labour MP urges

People should use cannabis on the parliamentary estate to force the government to change the law and help sufferers of serious illness, according to Welsh Labour MP Paul Flynn.
Speaking during a Commons debate on drug policy, Flynn said he had once committed a “terrible crime” by helping the late multiple sclerosis sufferer and medicinal cannabis campaigner Elizabeth Brice – also known as Clare Hodges – to use the drug on the House of Commons terrace.

He said he had brought her a cup of hot water in which she prepared cannabis tea used to alleviate the symptoms of her condition. It was a crime, Flynn said, which could have seen both of them jailed under current laws.

Flynn said that using the Class B drug is the only way to get through to “the common mind of the government.

I would call on people, and I know we’re not supposed to do this as members, to break the law,” he told MPs.
To come here and use cannabis here and see what happens and challenge the government, the authorities, to arrest them and take them in.

And as usual with prohibition, there's a lot of scaremongering, factual inaccuracies, blaming the poor, locking up the poor and addicts, I could go on...

Same old tactics, same old results.

Which is why they keep doing it, Who wants poor people what wealth do they generate for someone like a 1 percenter? They have zero value in thier society and so do drugs so if you wanted to keep them from breeding and thriving just keep it illegal and keep locking up users and poor people because there are highly likely not to be the go getting capitalist suckers they want to fill the world with.

I also note nearly 7 months has passed and there has been zero fucking effort or discussion in 2017. All we hear about is this shit called Brexit which really is a bunch of elite cunts fighting for control of the people to do what they want with them. Really the way things are is very much cold and calculated and on purpose. What a bunch of evil shit we have to put up with.

I hope one day these people pay for this, And for the life they lived.

I wasnt necessarily talking about a ranting, generalised 'they', I was attempting to make the point that taking on the same tactics as prohibition and the rhetoric that comes with it will lead to nothing but the same situation we are already in. Prohibition doesnt work, and we cant separate off a generalised subset of society like prisoners or scummy people(?) (or the 'they') and sack them all off to using superspice because oh god think of the children (or whatever other arbitrary punishment is deemed acceptable to apply like a one size fits all). Its a complete removal of nuance from the discussion; socio-economic factors, homelessness, employment rates, etc etc

Dont even get me started on using The Sun as a trusted news source...

Anyway, these last three or four posts and this discussion I'm finding it hard to leave alone (autism and OCD, please bare with) arent anything to do with cannabis news in the uk. I'm going to try to leave this discussion alone completely. I may need some help with that.

Apologies to kellya86 and rodders83 :D

And it isnt mainstream yet... it's restricted to a certain type of person right now...
And I do worry about my children...

I do think of the children...

I find this I relevant cannabis news, and sadly will be more relevant as time goes on...

Please enlighten me as to this 'certain type of person'. We should all be informed people, right? Prisoners is one, I got that. Who else?

I wasnt talking about your children, how would I know you have children? I was talking about the rhetoric of prohibition and its constant cry of 'OH WONT SOMEBODY THINK OF THE CHILDREN'. It was the same cry with heroin, its been the same cry of the prohibition crowd with cannabis, it was a similar cry with alcohol. Its the same tactics that got us here in the first place. Its not an open discussion, its blame and scaremongering.

Its a removal of all nuance of what the complicated issue of drug/mind alterrant consumption in society is related too, other than the obvious, simple 'people having a good time'.

And if a news source has a history of constant lying, constant scapegoating of the poor (see hilsborough for a start), then yes, it follows to not trust what the news source is saying without a serious examination of its sources and from other news sources/organisations on the ground/involved.

Im well aware of the loes told by the press, but this is purely just showing its out there.
Are you disputing it exists becaus its in the paper?
Just because some things are lies, doesnt mean if they print it, its not true....

As for types of people... yes i think it is a certain type of person that would take such an untested substance with so many unknown risks...
Someone who obviously doesnt value their life too much...
And not caring too much about human life is something that annoys me....
It's why people get stabbed for a bag of chips...

Such a dangerous and addictive product has never been so available to the kids..
Kids could never just buy heroin online for fuck all money, and have it delivered next day...
At least old-school hardcore drugs were more out of reach....

This is a new threat that I'm very worried about for my kids and others.
Whats your problem with that...
Am I not aloud to have concerns....

@kellya86 , funnily enough, the spice surge will actually prove to be very helpful for the push for legalisation. It is making it even more abundantly clear just how ridiculous the demonisation of cannabis really is.

No doubt the government want people getting fucked up on spice instead of staying well and healthy on cannabis. But the longer this spice craze goes on, the more ridiculous the cannabis law will look and there will be increasing calls from the mainstream to decrim or legalise.

Who knows when/if it will come. I actually believe there is a chance of it coming sooner than we think. The elite are not nearly as in control as they would like. They are actually quite desperate now to keep the lid on humanity. There aren't having an easy time. Hence all the false flag terror attacks, the big thing about "fake news" and their deep desire to censor the internet.

They are pushing for their New World Order which they were supposed to have by year 2000. It is slipping out of their grasp in fact, even though it seems like we are all in the deep shit with no prospects.

They are now suddenly trying to subtly and cunningly get the ball rolling with their long time plan to ID chip every person on the planet.
I saw it on bbc news last night. I just hate the way they dress up these pantomimes and have their nobel actors speak about the merits and safety, and non invasiveness etc of these controversial new measures they propose.

Just watch the news on this one. They are going to try and convince the dumb masses that having a computer chip implanted in their hand will be the new sliced bread.

You watch! Seriously, like "you wont ever lose your house keys again, they are in your hand. You wont need to carry money, you can get on a bus, go shoppping, log into work, just by scanning your hand. It's perfectlt safe, you all have chips in your bank cards/phones anyway, why not let us give you the mother of all chips under your skin?"

The chips are purposed to give them total control over us, directly by mind control frequency tech, and by turning off our money, house keys etc if we don't obey.

I expect some members will think I am NUTS but this is truly the game we are in and how they want to play it, by deception, cunning and lies all the way.

And yes, @rodders83 , it is all VERY deliberate! That is a huge understatement. And this is what so many naive brainwashed people just can't appreciate or begin to believe under the TV hypnosis in the naive land of dreaming about wonderful governments.

The reason they lied about the death toll from the Grenfell tower is because they genuinely feared an uprising in London if the true figures were released.

Anyway, I see this all as a sign of their desperation to get the New World Order done as time is genuinely running out for them, however bad things seem for us all still.
So let's try and be a little hopeful for the future. I believe there is far more hope than we can see at present, in general, and for cannabis legalisiation somewhere down the track.

Not really coming in to this as there are enough salient points that have been made already, but I'll say two things,
1) re Poor People; One should always realise that with the The Powers That Be (TPTB), The poverty of the poor is (and always will be the main course of) the rich man's feast!

2) Re Government and changing laws on cannabis, who gives a fuck? Cos I know I don't. The only law is the Golden Rule, Cause no harm nor cause no loss, period!

So I care not who passes the laws, I for one (and those like me), will always have herb, until the day I/we decide otherwise, which I can confidently predict without any fear of contradiction, will be on the 12th - Of Fucking Never!

not saying, just saying, without saying, ;)

I hope your right, and that eventually the lack of being able to censor the internet will liberate us all from this bullshit....

Im leaving the system soon anyway...

My fear with spice (apart from the obvious) is that our government will group this will actual cannabis, and use it brainwash people into fearing all cannabis products, synthetic or not...

They finally have the deadly cannabis they have been banging on about for years....

It will be hard for police to differentiate on the street...
Could that not encourage a blanket class A ban or something...???

I for one (and those like me), will always have herb, until the day I/we decide otherwise,

Not if you get put in prison for said cannabis...
Then you get spice....

I would just like to know for sure that there is no risk of me being seperated from my kids for doing what i do...
Obviously I have taken every precaution possible, but id like it to be a dead cert that I cannot get in any trouble.....
Not too much to ask...

I would just say reality is what you make it, in my world, I'm growing., vaping and basically doing everything I want to do, and nobody is stopping me cos I don't take note of what the fucks (STATE/CHURCH/BABYLONIAN BROADCASTING CORP are doing, to focus on them would mean I ain't focusing on what really matters!

Hence tomorrow, down to the allotment bright and early, after grooming the cats, I'l be tending chickens, cultivating crops, watering my herb and generally doing the things that make my day and my reality great!

Again, you've made this more about you and your unfounded opinions and leaps of logic like taking an 'untested substance' leading to people getting stabbed for chips, than any actual facts. Exactly the tactics prohibition uses to keep weed banned. Parallels.

Im out, this is pointless.

I might be completely mistaken, if so, apologies in advance, However, in the Randoms Thoughts section, I seem to recall that in reply to one of my posts, you said "you were like me?"
Cos for the complete avoidance of doubt, that kind of sentiment expressed above by you, is definitely not me!:nope:

Just on a cautionary note, if you make fear become the dominant aspect, then you ain't gonna get the things you need to get done, completed. No one 'knows (everything) for sure', cos if we did, I know that the likes of Grokit, Squiby, Amoreena, Carole King and the rest, would've won the Powerball already, and I sure would've won the Euro Millions Lottery!

But as I said already, reality really is what you make it! Think of it like this, life is similar to chess, but if you take that to mean good tactics and good moves, then you would be completely wrong! Rather its about bad tactics and shit moves, and what you make of them!:sherlock:

So yeah, the more I think about it, I think the day after the 12th, would be more accurate!:\

Just saying, without saying,;)

Dear Michael,

The Government has responded to the petition you signed – “Legalise cannabis for medical and recreational use.”.

Government responded:

This Government has no plans to legalise cannabis. Raw cannabis is not recognised in the UK as having any medicinal benefit.

There is clear scientific and medical evidence that cannabis is a harmful drug which can damage people’s mental and physical health, and harms individuals and communities. The evidence from the Government’s independent experts, the Advisory Council on the Misuse of Drugs (ACMD), is that the use of cannabis is a ‘significant public health issue and can unquestionably cause harm to individuals and society’.

The decriminalisation of drugs in the UK would not eliminate the crime committed by the illicit trade nor would it address the harms associated with drug dependence and the misery this can cause to families and society. Decriminalisation or legalisation of cannabis would send the wrong message to the vast majority of people who do not take drugs, especially young and vulnerable people, with the potential grave risk of increased misuse of drugs.

When a police officer finds someone in possession of drugs, it is an operational matter as to the appropriate response. We have confidence in our police officers to assess as appropriate any enforcement action, where there is a public order or protection or local drug issue that needs addressing, rather than seek them out for drug possession offences. It is not always appropriate or conducive to the public good to arrest every person they find with a small amount of cannabis and although the police can charge individuals with a criminal offence, they can also issue a warning or an on-the-spot fine of £90 if an individual is found with cannabis.

It is important that medicines are thoroughly tested to ensure they meet rigorous standards before being placed on the market, so that doctors and patients are sure of their efficacy, quality and safety. There is a clear regime in place administered by the Medicines and Healthcare products Regulatory Agency (‘MHRA’) to enable medicines (including controlled drugs such as cannabis) to be developed, licensed and made available for medicinal use to patients in the UK. For example, the cannabis-based medicine ‘Sativex’ has been granted Marketing Authorisation in the UK by the MHRA for the treatment of spasticity due to multiple sclerosis. Sativex was tested for its safety, efficacy and quality before receiving Marketing Authorisation approval for this application.

The MHRA is open to considering marketing authorisation approval applications for other medicinal cannabis products should a product be developed by a manufacturer. As happened in the case of Sativex, the Home Office will consider issuing a licence to enable trials of any new medicine, providing it complies with the appropriate ethical approvals.

We continue to monitor international developments on the evidence base around cannabis. The World Health Organisation’s Expert Committee on Drug Dependence has committed to reviewing the scheduling of cannabis under the UN’s 1961 Convention. This is due to consider the therapeutic use as well as dependence and the potential to abuse constituent parts of cannabis.
