Anyone have this piece? Looking at glass to compliment my new D020-D to use with flower and Haze w WPA GonG 18mm. Not particularly cheap but looks like they have sold a lot and good reviews on DHGate

Looks like a very nicer combustion piece but you don't need that much diffusion for a vape. Pick something mre vape friendly IMO :2c: And that is WAY too big of a can for the Haze to keep up with anyway. Actually the Hazifier I have works THE BEST with the Haze but it's expensive. I would say if you want something bigger than the D020 you have get the FC0-UFO, and if you want multiple percs go with the FC-mod, then you can add or take them away as needed.

This hits the best but is way overpriced ( I won mine because I named it!)

I haven't had a problem with the outside diffusion pump. I turn the Liger banger perpendicular to the mouthpiece and find it's not much more unstable than it is already by nature. It's gonna tip over if it gets bumped no matter what, I think.
Bit late to the game but I also have a Gravlabs version of the Bates external pump and also love it.

Loved it so much I broken down and spent the money on an original Bates external pump with a vertical joint (most are angled out).

Like Kim, I just turn the Liger to the side, rotate the bucket so its vertical, then still be a bit careful.

The function is terrific for me. Great taste and I don't need the lungs of a blue whale.

My only complaints are: the glass is thin...very thin...and I would definitely prefered if it had a thicker base for stability and the angled joint....don't know why they did that.

I also don't have the internal pump and so can 't provide a comparison but I'm thinking about buying an FC710 from Steven and trying it.

Touch of modern has the internal pump for $111. If you can get a second email account, just invite yourself and it will get you $10 off. The difference is that the Grav labs version has a black bead and is thicker glass. Plus the mouthpiece looks a bit better. Not sure if that's worth the difference of $38 vs $110 but either way you will love it. If I had another $30 off in credit I would buy this one too just to have it in thicker glass although I have never broken a FC-710.

is this considered too much diffusion for a oil rig? what function does the turbine thing serve? or does it just look neat? I want the fc-710 style one for use but the look of it is not what I'm going for and I really like the straight armed mouth piece.

A turbine is a low diffusion perc itself. But paired with a showerhead yeah that's a little more diffusion and a lot less flavor than either diffusion pump. Nothing is going to come close on flavor to those 2. I rotate rigs out myself and don't mind giving up a little flavor in order to use a cool or colorful piece that I like a lot as long as it doesn't rob it too much. My Turbine HT with my EVO offers very good flavor but the turbine in general is not my favorite perc.
If you really like the looks of it it isn't a bad deal at all and I'm sure it hits great with flower or oil. BUT if you are really looking for the best tasting oil rig, no, It won't compare to either of the bates diffusion pump models.

really appreciate your input. I think i'm just going to go with the fc-rattlecan and hopefully a liger v3 when that is officially released. Thanks man, your responses are always awesome.

No problem! I like the thicker glass of the rattle can vs the FC-710, but I would invest in a drop down for it on that one since the joint is right in your face on that model. Let me know how you like it.

Wow, the Gravlabs glass is thinner than Steven's?? I don't know about the internal, but the Grav Labs external is pretty dang thin.

How do you know that the Gravlabs glass is thicker? I haven't seen where they specify the glass thickness at all.

The FC-710 is very thin glass. I love it and recommend it but don't bump it on a hard surface. It gets it's weight and stability due to the large amount of water required to fill it. No Grav labs stuff isn't especially high end or thick, but it's thicker than the FC-710. You can see in the pics that the grav labs isn't 7mm (maybe 3-5mm) or anything but it's much beefier than the super thin (maybe 2mm) FC-710

Thanks @mrbonsai420 - I think you talked me into the Touch of Modern Gravlabs version. Yeah, $111 plus $15 shipping but thicker glass and not having to deal with order to China make this a winner for me, I believe.

Thanks again

Wish Touch of Modern shipped pipes to Canada as I kinda want that outside diffusion pump, oh well.

The price sure isn't as nice but bobhq.com has em for $195 CAD

Wow...I have one and would be surprised if it was four. My C2 is 5 mm and seems much thicker.

Sadly, due to its shape, there is no where I can get my cheap electronic calipers on the glass to measure.

Its quite possible that I am wrong and it is actually 4 mm.

@mrbonsai420 - Ok, I order the internal from ToM. Got to stop spending money on vape stuff!! LOL

That's not bad actually, but I am probably going to pass. I could maybe convince myself easier if the joint were vertical and female. Also just got a slyme/pink slyme/lucy/blu-v Torus from @philip.legge on instagram for $200 CAD(a discount as it was a repair, but the flaw is virtually invisible). Anyone in Canada looking for a reasonably priced Torus or banger should hit him up.

Looks like a job for!
Ya I definitely think it could, but it could be really hard to get them right so I could also see them making stationary propellers. Hope it pans out.

It's here, I got 2 one leaks and needs to be replaced.

Both percs rotate and function, however on the non-leaking one the perc also misfires. The same thing may happen in the leaking one, we're it not leaking.

By misfire I mean part of the vapor passes underneath and escapes the propeller, so it does work. But just well enough to say it works, not the way it's designed to.

Between QC laxity and the tight tolerance needed here, if you get one of theese with no major issues go buy a lottery ticket right after.
