Why people so lazy?

It never ceases to amaze me how lazy people are when it comes to the easy stuff. At the old place I am living at until the end of November I have lived in for almost 2 years and I am still waiting for a copy of the HOA rules that I still never received despite the many times I asked the Home owner for them several times.

So I am about 98% moved into a new place and I have been at the new place for a week or so, and I have already asked 2 times from the new Land Lord for a copy of their rules, and still they have not gotten around to doing so yet.

Is there something about this request I'm asking for that these knockleheads have a hard to time doing that I'm just not seeing or what?

Maybe that's not a bad thing. They certainly can't expect you to follow rules you didn't know about. :)

Actually I've encountered the opposite of what you said.

I have seen in police evidence copys of emails submitted for months and months of people on the HOA board where people have been saying hurtful things and then in real life being two faced about it.

For example I had an antenna on my balcony and it was put up on the balcony around lets say april, and then in November I saw copys of emails sent from HOA staff and neighbors between each other mentioning the antennas and in these emails it said that one staff member warned me about having them as a violation and that I was obviously trying to push the envelope. On the emails the dates where shown as being written and sent in July......But by the time I found out about these emails it was November......And just for the record I was never warned about any violations like it said I was in the emails. In fact quite the opposite. The same lady who is named <removed> who sent those emails and who lied in those emails is the same person who in August complimented me on my persistence to use Antennas and to not waste money irresponsibly.

And that is just one example this is only a drip in a bucket full of water.

It's 2 days later and still no copy, I'm afraid to ask again because I am a new tenant and don't want to get on their nerves.

Dude what is it with you and HOAs? Weren't you trying to flood out your last place because you didn't like the home owners association there?

I don't know... Maybe it's just coincidence but there seems to be a pattern? Not bashing you but perhaps thats something to think about. A lot of times we are captains of our own self fulfilling prophesies. Basically I'm trying to say that you shouldn't burn any bridges just yet.

On that note HOA regulations have always been included in documents provided for me to sign before moving in. Did you check this carefully yet or maybe they haven't been provided to you because you have a few weeks before moving in?

Yesterday was Saturday so you basically only gave them one business day to get back to you?

Be patient, I feel for you. Almost all stories I've heard of HOAs make them sound full of passive aggressiveness.

syrupy,
At the place you used to live, they aren't lazy, they just don't like you. They don't want an unlicensed business being ran in their neighborhood, especially not an escort service.

Maybe the new landlord is lazy, but I bet if you give him a chance, he'll wind up not liking you too!

Signed papers 15th of this month. Moved in furniture last week.

Still waiting for HOA rules to be mailed to me. I check mail daily.

But that is nothing. I'm still waiting for the HOA rules from where I used to live, I still never got those. And we asked the home owner constantly up until some time last month, and still nothing. I officially move out at the end of November, they would do me no good now, but for the record, it is important to note that I lived at my previous address for almost 2 years, and never got them.

I've heard nothing but, nightmare scary stories about HOAs too, in fact I never heard any good story about an HOA. Sure I know that bad news travels faster and more frequently then good news, but still NEVER not even one good.
