Why is hash oil more expensive than other concentrates?

I've noticed that hash oil in the medical dispensaries in my area of Colorado is about twice as expensive per gram as wax or shatter. I can get shatter or wax for $30/g. For some reason, oil is about twice as expensive per gram. The oils are all advertised as CO2 extractions, which I know is more expensive then butane, but then why are the waxes and shatters so cheap in comparison? Are they maybe butane extractions? Color me confused...

EDIT: It seems the only oils available in town are all CO2 extractions. The shatters and waxes are Butane. Guess that explains the price difference.

Try one of each, or ask for a % of actives in each/ a lab report. It all has to do with purity when pricing.
