Hi,
I inherited my dad's Merlin video magnifier, used to help with his macular degeneration. It was very pricey but uses a big, heavy CRT "picture tube" screen. It seemed to have good optics, would make a nice big clear blowup pic of whatever you viewed.
Would a new flat screen be compatible with it? Can you just plug in a flat screen instead of the CRT unit?
I was thinking it might come in handy for viewing buds and doing some fine crafting of tiny parts....
But the big ass CRT unit is a turnoff.
We lent the unit to an elderly lady but she is getting a new unit so we can have it back.
Thanks
