Can anyone tell me what the operating temperature of the underdog vape is? Thanks :)

We aim for a temp of 375°F but in the end it will depend on how you're using it (what stems, draw speed, etc) and can be affected up or down by those variables. Seems about 85% of users think it's just the right temp with the stock power supply, 10% think it's not quite hot enough (and buy a VVPS) and 5% think it's too hot lol.

Thanks for the info! I just tried ordering a dog on your website, but it keeps using my billing address as my shipping address. For shipping address, I didn't check the box that said : "Use billing address" and I entered a separate billing address. What am I doing wrong? Thanks!

Hi Crohnie- Are you talking about when you get to PayPal? Does the website let you type in a separate shipping address?

eta: I see an incomplete order in our system - if it's yours, I am seeing two different addresses (same street, but different numbers)

It lets me put in two separate addresses, but just when I'm about to pay, it shows my billing address as the shipping address. I will be out of town for a few days, so I put my work address for shipping.

I live just down the same street from where I work. That might have been confusing.

Ok - well I think our PayPal interface maybe can only pull the billing and mislabels it. I'll have to look into getting that fixed. Go ahead and put the order through, I can see both addresses on the order itself. If you want to be extra sure, go ahead and type in the notes or send me or Underdog a message with the correct shipping address. We'll get you all taken care of!

Just pulled the trigger on the beautiful "Cocobolo" Underdog :) The wood looks beautiful and will go with all my rosewood furniture! Can't wait till I get back in town and have a little package waiting for me.

well I think my dog is okay...I forgot it for about 45mins to 1hr in between the couch cushions, it's severely discolored, I unplugged it and let it cool off completely, plugged it back in and all is working.

I hope I didn't do any permanent damage because I'm a moron, I'd be very upset.

lesson learned and I 100% won't be using the couch cushion heating method :/

Glad the Pup seems to be ok there SS.. the couch cushion heat boosting method is a really bad idea (as I think you might have discovered) and can result in dangerous heat build-up.

I'm sure it probably took a chunk of the Dogs lifespan but hopefully not too significantly so. Maple is extra sensitive to heat and burns and discolors easily so we can hope it looks worse than it is. Sounds like for now though it's still kicking, these things are actually pretty tough despite their small size and delicate 'purdy' looks.. ;)

Have a great weekend Dave! Well deserved!!! I wished I had one on me. I'm still into combusting since I have no vaporizer of any sort YET but I know it'll be well worth the once I get my hands on UD. It'll be like getting high for the first time. I can't wait!!!!

I knew somebody would pull the trigger on that cocobolo. It looked beautiful and scratch-free. That's what I was going to get but since Dave is working hard to make some new pieces, I decided to wait. I want the full size since it'll be strictly for home use. I wouldn't want to carry that beauty around.

Depends on what you're using it for, and everyone's got their preferences. I like the thick silicone stem for direct draws, and the glass stem + thin silicone for vaporbonging (it connects easily to my bubbler). There's a lot of different ways to use it!

I'll keep that in mind when I order mine. Any hint from a actual user is helpful.

Unless you're pretty sure you're going to prefer one style over the other, just get some of both. It's fun to experiment with different load sizes, and each stem setup has its own 'feel', if you will.

the fullsize will run cooler than the smaller twig varieties just letting you know, I wanted a fullsize as well and am very glad I got a twig instead.

From all the reviews that I read, I thought full size hits the best? Does twig run hotter than the full size? Why do you prefer twig over full size? What are the benefits of twig vs queen vs full size? Thanks in advance.

A full size piece will be slower to heat up fully and will run at a slightly lower temp than a smaller piece like a Twig. For most people this isn't an issue as we have the UD designed to run hot to begin with so the loss of a bit of heat isn't that noticeable to many. Full size pieces have some advantages in durability (thicker wood) and more design options.

For those that want to squeeze all available heat out a Twig is a better option, or one can use a VVPS with any size Dog.

So I've been playing around with different ways to mate my dog with 14mm GonG connections. Found one that works. I use a MFLB WPA, just the glass part (I think i saw another member doing the same), 3/4's of an inch of the thick silicone tubing Dave has is placed on the end and then if you put a large screen into the silicone it should sit on the ridge of the glass. This makes a nice compact 14mm WPA for the dog and the screen is reaaaaallllyy hard to push out. Makes it even more dummy proof! Love the dog for the fact that i can make my own shit up as i go!!!

People will believe that I'm fixated on Thermovape products (or that I work for them), but since I own a T1, I sometimes browse their site to watch what kind of accessories they have.

Well, regarding GonG joint, I noticed they have a glass adapter (link) that is 3/8 inch on one side and that can adapt itself to 14 and 18 gauge glass. I'm not in the market for glass filtration, as I said two pages ago regarding the other accessory I'm anxious to try with my yet-to-be-done but soon-to-be-mine UD, but it might interest others.

Just sayin' ...

This might be off topic but is it necessary to use the good quality grinder when vaporizing? I have never owned one but would hate to break it up FINE by hand every time I'm ready to vape. I've always used my hands but with the new UD that I'll be getting soon, I'm trying to have everything else ready. I'm ordering VT tonight as well.

AV I mean.... Is the one on the video Large? I'd better get large since it's only $10 difference. There was a thread in here about grinders as well so I read and pull the trigger on 2 pc titanium SPACE CASE. I'm waiting anxiously for Dave's new pieces on his website so I can pull the trigger on my first UD. At least when UD arrive, I'll have everything ready.

I have been preachin' this for a while now. This solution is the bomb! I like the fact that the interior diameter remains as large as the silicone (you have to stretch it to get it on) so that the airflow is not restricted. The small form factor is a big plus. Wish they offered just that glass piece without having to drop $30 on the WPA. But since it was laying around getting no use, it was a no brainer.

Was tempted to rip apart my mflb wpa but figured i might need it at some point. I made one of those DIY WPAs the other day with a $10 vapor bros 14m gong to whip adapter from my lhs and some tube and a screen. Works freakin' awesome and is nice and compact. Of course, I still want the UD one but this should hold me over for a bit.
