    Looking forward to that too!

I'm still having problems with my Tubo, but I'm convinced it's my fault - didn't have a lot of time to tinker with it in the past monts... so make it the most informative possible please :D

it's been easy sailing for me, I was able to use it out the box...it initially seemed to be running a bit cold and i increased the resistance.

The only other issue i had was dislodging the bottom screen which was totally my fault.

are you still charring? that is your only issue correct?

Hey all. It took my MFLB and I a few nights and half a dozen batteries, but we finally made our way through this thread. Of course, I've forgotten most of what I've read now that I'm on the last page. :D

I have a Pax 2, an Arizer Q and the MFLB. For the last 3 years, and until a few nights ago, I also had my beloved Arizer Solo, my everyday workhorse device. I gifted that to my brother as his first vaporizer. He's loving it and is psyched, and now I have an excuse to buy a new something interesting. A win-win in my book.

I found this thread while researching another on demand device, but I am intrigued by the Tubo evic and Tubox. I was trying to decide which one of them I wanted until I started reading about the Dual.

Anyway, I just thought I'd say hey. You'll probably be seeing more of me around here and I figured it was just good manners to introduce myself before I started firing off questions.

    Have a good one-

    Hi guys.

So I'm thinking I am going to give the TUBOx a shot. For me, I think it'll offer the most versatility. Of the list of mods that can be flashed with FJ's firmware, I have been looking at the Reuleaux RX300 and the Cuboid 200. This is going to be a home based vape, so the extra size and weight from the multi battery mods means nothing to me. These 2 mods seem to be respected here from the reading I've done in this thread. Is that still the case? Any owners of TUBOx and both or either mods have any advice to give? I'm all ears.

Thanks for the reply @sickmanfraud. I grabbed a Cuboid 200 on Ebay last night for 20 bucks shipped. I'm seeing the RX300 going for about $10 more, so I'm going to grab one of those, too. Might as well try them both. I think the TUBOx will attach nicely to the Cuboid with magnets or maybe velcro, if the wood around the bowl doesn't get too hot for the glue to hold. That way I can take the x on and off the mod easily depending on the situation. I'll try the same method for the RX300, too. I noticed FJ has some pretty cool looking stands on his site that some of you guys with the Cuboid use. That looks like a sweet little setup if I were to get a bubbler.

    heya,
today i had a bit time to try something:
the stems are drilled with a 14mm drill. also they sit a 1 or 2mm higher in the joint than the glass ones to accommodate the s&b mighty/crafty dosing capsules. the stems are glass lined just fyi.

welp i am not equipped to make a lot of these right now, i am sure @Alan can make them, maybe i should put in a bigger order with him. maybe his already work in this manner?

it works very well, the stems also help to fill them easily.

    Hi funkyjunky
When using these capsules with the crafty they need to be packed fairly tight. As the tubo is convection would that mean a more loosely packed capsule would apply? Do you have any for sale right now? Im expecting my tubo in next couple of days but being the weekend I'm getting no updates

@greenmachinexlt I think you may be a bit off on your choice of which Tubo works best for which application.

IMO the biggest advantage of the Tubo x is the ability to pair with a water piece without much worry of the bubbler tipping over. Imagine, if you will, trying to balance one of these multi-battery mods on top of a bubbler.

Since the Tubo x has the cord between the power (cuboid) and the heater you only need to balance a few ounces on the bubbler vs 1/3-1/2 pound of mod and batteries.

If your idea of usage is to attach the Tubo x and the Cuboid you should consider a Tubo Evic or a Dual, each of these is hard wired to a mod which is known to work well for this application.

Regardless of which Tubo (s) work best for your applications, you will enjoy the Tubo.

I'm inclined to agree.. I'd say the Dual is the most versatile of the 3. The X is definitely the least portable, mainly because of the cable and connection. That's not to say it isn't portable with magnets (I had that for a bit), or my 3d print, but I'd only really use it for carrying around the house.. It feels quite exposed. It does work best if you're primarily using it through water though :freak:

The 3d print is pretty much done now - and is for the Cuboid 200.

I'm liking the Cedar wood wood pla.. Its much nicer to hold than regular, and doesn't need finishing. (Edit.. Apart from a beard trim)

And I like the way you can see the screen when in use..

and it keeps it really stable for glass[IMG]

If you or @greenmachinexlt (or anyone else with the same setup) want one for free, send me a PM.. I've got a few cast-offs that work perfectly well. If you want a wood print, we can work something out.

@funkyjunky I was hoping those capsules were for r&d, not because you'd bought yourself a mighty.. Count me in!

    Those look awesome @Padriano

Been loving the short stem that came with the Mi, in my Tubo for stealth and portability. My precious Tubo bent stem is too fragile and awkward to leave home.
Now I'm wanting a black stem to complete K2SO's look. If anyone has an extra black one, or wants to trade for an Amber. I have 3. PM me if so.
Using on demand over cruise lately. Was feeling self induced pressure to take too many yanks while in cruise mode. :D

@funkyjunky how much of an increase in temp to compensate for the increased distance from the heater?

Just a guess, but probably next to nothing. The mouthpiece may be shorter to facilitate the capsule, but I'm guessing the capsule takes up that extra space.

    Or at least I'm hoping....

it seems to work well regardless of packing density. i dont have any for sale right now, dont have the tools. i made these two from hand even hand drilled the holes. i see if i can make more this week, would rather have someone doing them with a lathe.

the 3dprint has come a long way! it looks very sexy! sure is a great stabilizer for the cuboid200 when using with water.

yes, thanks a lot for the capsules!
as much as i like the mighty of a friend, i cant justify buying one with all the tubos around...

    exactly!
i havent noticed the need for a temp increase, then again i am only testing since yesterday. also the capsule sits at the tip of the stem now, simlar to a basket screen. again with some more precision like a lathe i think the distance can be optimized so the capsule sits just above the heater screen.

the feedback has been great for the capsule holding stems, thanks. i will check out ways to get them manufactured.

What are some stems you guys recommend for the tubo? I need a stem that can cool the heat a bit so I guess a long stem...

Haha yeah that's why I only use cruise when I am looking to get blasted. Almost always going on demand, alone or with experienced and inexperienced users alike. And PM me dude, I may be down for an amber-black stem exchange

long bent stem from FJ for sure, pretty much all i use with mine, but really any long bent stem will be ideal if not going through water or whip

Once again, Oregonglassblower makes a 18mm stem that fits the Tubo perfectly. Cools the vapor and gives the user a bent mouthpiece that is easy to hit. I use a rimless basket screen in the stem of mine.
@funkyjunky great work with the dual, it arrived today and I am home from work.

Thank you @Padriano and @sickmanfraud for your replies and your advice. I appreciate both.

Are you guys saying that the TUBOx won't perform as well via the 510 connector as an evic or Dual would because they are hardwired in to a mod?

You are certainly right in that the TUBOx is perfectly suited for powering a bubbler. I haven't had a bubbler in years, and even when I did I never used it with a vaporizer. So I hadn't been thinking of the TUBOx primarily used in that way. I was looking at it as something I can use it with a stem and swap it to whatever mods I wanted to. I also liked the idea of being able to take it from a failing or damaged mod and pop it into a new one without pulling out my soldering gun. I figure on using it only at home, so being mobile outside the house isn't a requirement, but being mobile inside the house is. @Padriano, your 3D prints are very cool. What a great idea! Sure better than velcro.

I basically want to use the TUBOx like a TUBO evic or Dual, but with the extra options of easily swapping it to another mod at will, and using it on the bubbler that am now going to have to research and buy. ;)

Waiting on delivery of this hopefully later this week. Will report back. Looks like a really, really nice option. Only downside is the pain to clean but meh.

Also was looking to purchase the Vapefiend cooling mouthpiece (but the US dollar is so weak right now, currently at 3 year lows). So milaana stems can work with the tubo, but tubo stems dont work with the milaana?

Correct. The tubo joints are typically longer.

There's always a chance your tubo stem COULD worth with the milaana, but no guarantees and probably at your own risk since you can push the stem up against the mesh

Nice job on the stems. I recall being asked about making something for the capsules once, but never got any to try. Do you leave the flower unground so that small particles from ground flower don't pass through? Maybe just a course grind? I do like how wooden stems tend to stay in the glass joint better than a glass stem. Getting a glass liner in the wood can be a challenge since the glass tubing can vary in diameter.

Anyone in Europe should buy the bent stems from @funkyjunky. As for those not in Europe, I have a possible solution that is not expensive. This was $7.95 now $9.95 but still works great. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01M4FDUQU/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o06_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1

EDIT / ADDITION FOR @greenmachinexlt here is a picture of what I mentioned earlier:
