“I don’t want to talk about this on the radio or anywhere else for that matter,” Brady told host John Dennis in the email. “Athletes are always talking about money at a time when everyone else is struggling so badly to make it. We all make way more than our fair share. And I just think it reflects poorly on myself and my teammates. I really do just want to win, and that has and will continue to be the reason that motivates me and is the biggest factor in my decision-making process.”

You can feel how ever you want about Brady/Patriots, but that shows some class.

    and also this

ok, time to re-purpose this thread back to college football for a while. I intend to document the Oregon Ducks' run to the NCAA National Championship this year, so now that the "soft" parts of the schedule are over, and we have a bye week to improve, lets see what we did to the SEC when they came to visit Eugene, oh yeah, 59 unanswered points . . . :D

    Go Ducks!!! :argh:

Oregon is impressive on the gridiron, but the team colors that day (both teams) were seizure-inducing. Hideous. :p

Not every uni is a success I will agree, but its been an incredible recruiting tool along with all of the new state of the art facilities and other things Oregon has to offer thanks to Uncle Phil. I hear the kids say: "You look good, you feel good, you play good." which makes sense to me . . .

Tonight was Mariano Rivera's last day. Love us or hate you have to admit he was the GREATEST closer to ever play the game. The stadium gave him a great sendoff tonight. I wish we had had a better season, but you can't win them all and injury wise ,this was the worst year ever and i've been a fan since 1959 (5 YO).

I got a few memento's. I go to the stadium a LOT lol. The 3base BB gave me a foul ball and security gave me some dirt from the field so i'll always have a part of my stadium with me  I eat at the NY Yankee Steak house all the time and they have engraved knives for all the players in glass cases and one for non players that they like . They bring you your knife when you dine. They gave me a knife a few years ago and i'm normally in the Non celebrity case which is still an honor. Tonight they put my knife in with the boys for me  and just sent me the photo's. I blocked out my name

Dario Franchitti breaks his back and ankle today in a huge crash. 13 fans are also injured when the fence flies into the grandstands, along with car debris, which can clearly be seen impacting the fans starting at about 0:40. Watch closely, and turn the sound up, starting 1:28 to see and hear the thunderous "boom" of the impact in real time . . . :o

ok, time to wrap up the weekend dismemberment of Colorado and look forward to the beginning of the real season. I hear I have a new Duck's Football fan on board and I say welcome @mvapes !!!

There is a reason ESPN's College Game Day is going to be in Seattle on Saturday, this one is going to be epic. The Dawgz took Stanford to the wire last Saturday . . . this rivalry is bitter, it will get ugly.

And now the pics from the slaughter of "Ralphie" focusing on Josh Huff and Grasu (our Center) getting a kiss from his mother after the game . . . :luv:

So with our thumping of the Washington Huskies complete, here are some of what I thought were the better pics. College Game Day was in attendance, the Huskies played well, but it was a good day to be a Duck. Marcus Mariota (MAR-ee-oh-tah) aka the "Island Breeze" was the best player on the field, and Huff went down in the first half with an ankle "pop" only to return and catch a TD pass in the 2nd. Thomas Tyner, the "Aloha Project", had another scintillating true freshman performance . . . :)

Tom does it again with a last ditch effort to tack on another W. I really got to give credit to the defense for this one. What a game.

Pics this week highlight ESPN's College Game Day coming to Eugene for the 5th straight year in a row! Our march to the BCS Championship Game continues with our victory over UCLA and the BCS standings putting Oregon back at #2! We have an off week to improve and then its down to "The Farm" to play Stanford! Go Ducks!!! . . . :argh:

Jim Schwartz refuses to let anyone else be the most hated Pro Football Coach. Every single week he seems to find a way to piss off NFL fans with either his douchey face, or his faux tough guy yelling bullshit.

Hopefully we've seen the last of him and his "failure" as a coach. How did my Lions fail so badly? Is Stafford the answer? Tough off season for the Lions.

T-dub!!! Big game Monday. Mack Browns last game...Aliotti retiring...Mariota's knee?...game in Texas...sadly this is one of the best games of this years weak bowl slate IMO.

As a competitive athlete, I can't believe she walked away without shaking hands after the fight. IMO she deserved the "boos" after the fight. Even kids in 5-year old herd soccer have better sportsmanship.

And then they see that crap on TV and want to model/imitate. Sad.
