Most of the Ted Talks are interesting. This one was OK. Sorta obvious stuff.

Interesting that he did not deny that dopamine agonists were responsible for increased creativity. ie. he pretty well stated (between the lines) that cocaine and amphetamines were creative tools. Of course some folks have higher dopamine levels than others and some folks are even naturally 'high', (See Richard Feineman and listen to him speak, RIP.)

As far as the rest, better check under your bed tonight, there might be a boogie-man. ;) James Randi has a better explanation of expectation and pattern recognition, IMO. Of course he is a better presenter and doesn't rely on 'science' as much as experience.

Oh and if you have never checked out Ted Talks, DO IT, instead of watching mindless TV. :2c:

I second that notion. there are tons of TED talk about everything. all pretty interesting.
