Well we can start my countdown timer on however many years until I'm annoyed with my dying battery options. My BF Mighty from PuffItUp just arrived and I enjoyed my first few sessions.
A design with all the looks and savoir faire of an eighties walkie talkie too. I can't say that I look forward to cleaning it. I can say that the draw resistance is on point and the two sativa hybrids I've tried so far were smooth and flavorful. The cherry diesel was perhaps too fine and clogged the dosing capsule a bit. The orangeade capsule was a medium grind and kept its flavor for a respectable length of time.
I used it before bothering to switch it to Fahrenheit and didn't realize what temp the heater was at and had a good experience in what turned out to be the 340 to 355 range.
I'm gonna take inspiration from the Mighty and run my Fierce at lower temps than I had previous.
Hopefully you'll get many years out of your battery.
If you stick with the capsules you won't have to clean it often. I removed the screen on the cooling unit, dont use it all all, and clean the hole where vapor goes with a alcohol prep pad maybe weekly. About 4-6 weeks I take the cooling unit apart, remove the o rings, and soak the unit in iso in a zip lock, that I heat in hot water. The warm iso works very well and is quick. The o rings just need a quick soak. Then I rinse everything in water and reassemble when it's dry.
I use ours at about 360F to about 380F. But it's strain and moisture dependent, and the pack or grind makes slightly less difference. One technique we like is to start at say 370 and when it starts hitting well we back down the temps to 360 for a cooler more flavorable vapor. For vaping rosin using the liquid capsules I max out the temp for the whole session.
