How do most people here use the Mighty? Dosing capsule or not for dry herb?
A huge dilemma for me has always been how to consume hash properly. Now I have some excellent dry sift very soft and oily hash that I don't know how to consume. Liquid pad? Dosing capsule sandwich with herb I feel like I will never be able to properly taste only the hash.

Do a search in this Threat and you might find some answers for your hash needs.
Try both ways but I suggest using the wpa just to avoid any oils falling inside the unit.

no dosing caps for me. the consensus seems to be that they're mostly about convenience.
mighty doesn't get as hot as - for example - the vapcap, so vaping hard hash is a challenge. I've had no problems with 'finger hash' (hand scrapings from weed workers) and bubble hash; put it in the bowl with the pad on top. it might produce huge clouds at low temperature or barely produce any, even at high temperatures, but it works - and tastes great!
if the hash is solid, maximize the surface area. some people say slicing it real thin works. maybe heating it up, then crumbling/pressing it into tiny/thin pieces would work, then go right to the top temperature.
I kind of gave up trying to vape hard hash in the mighty, got a vapcap for that.
one thing I've found with the mighty and hash is that you get a huge # of hits - I've gotten ~15 hits from .05g. the appearance of ABV hash isn't a good indicator of doneness; it's done when you can't get a hit, even at the maximum temperature, so just keep going.
Thank you! But wait you really put the hash on the bottom and the liqiud pad over it? Why? I thought the risk is the hash would melt and drop into the chamber or something like that, and I thought that was why people use cotton or hemp fiber.

I've vaped lots of bubble/finger hash this way after reading lots of posts on the subject (like you, I wanted pure hash to get the flavor, not 'sandwiches'). the worst thing that's happened is gummy ABV, slightly stuck to the bowl (probably from not finishing it completely), but it came off easily using the brush and/or a toothpick (don't use metal so you won't scratch the bowl). I haven't disassembled the unit to see what's inside, but I've never seen anything like oil at the bottom of the bowl that would indicate anything went down. I've watched this thread for a long time, haven't heard of anyone having a problem with this method.
as far as oils - on top of the pad - people say (I haven't tried it) that you should only do a little bit at a time to avoid it melting down below the bowl.
based on how you described your hash, I'd soften it up a little with a flame, flatten it paper-thin, then break it into little pieces. just try a little bit at first to see. you might be pleasantly surprised: being able to taste hash, like you can flower, is a real pleasure!
The hash is going to run away from the heat (unless you just completely overloaded like crazy). So I would put a tiny amount of weed or ABV on the bottom, then the hash, then the liquid pad on top. I would use a dosing capsule to keep the mess as contained as possible. And of course you need to vape at the highest temperature.
Personally, I don’t like anything other than herb in the mighty. I prefer a wax pen or somesuch for concentrates. I use the mighty both with and without the dosing capsules, depending on whether I’m going somewhere where I can handle herb easily or not.
On another note, I realize that everyone wants to get the most out of their herb that they can, but I find that if I vape after the “burnt popcorn smell” that I get a very severe headache. YMMV of course, but just wanted to put that out there. I don’t think that I’m losing all that much THC by not vaping to a crisp

was it still under warranty?Well about a year and a half in and I finally sent my mighty in for rma. I beat the heck out of the thing but even though it was barely held together, it still worked like a charm. I thought I would definitely have to pay towards a new one but they sent me a brand new one free of charge. I'm gonna try and take care of this one better.
Congrats! Get a stand. A bunch are out there. I’m a fan of all things from @Ratchett .Just went to the vape shop and bought a Mighty. It's been sitting there for a few years because I'm pretty sure its the first version without the 20% more battery. I dont care I love it and its awesome. What are some must have accessories for this thing?
Generally not advisable to buy older lithium ion battery powered equipment that's been sitting on a shelf for years. Lithium ion batteries degrade in their ability to hold a charge. Not only with use, but also with *time* -- particularly time spent in a discharged state. In fact moderately but regularly used lithium ion batteries can be in much better condition than discharged, aging and unused cells. Based on your description, you might reasonably expect to experience capacity at around 1/3rd of a late model enhanced battery mighty.Just went to the vape shop and bought a Mighty. Hit tip: if it was fully charged when you opened the box, it hadn't been sitting on the shelf a couple of years.Good thing it was fully charged???
