Hey guys and gals
just be really careful when you "clean" your LB,
Qtips and iso or the little brush are all that is needed.

Many a vaporist have come to ruin their little LBS by
cleaning them to vigorously. :2c:

Check the instructions ;)

Yeah a friend of mine here in Australia recently ordered an LB and it got to him in 3 working days. He was astounded, as was I. I ordered mine about a year ago an it took at least a week, IIRC.

Yes, of course. Use no pressure on the screen or you'll destroy it.

sundaddy,
i must hav titanium or extra strong screen then. i had a fiber kinda fuse itself to screen, so i scraped it hard with fingernail, it may have bent a little, seemed pretty tuff to me, not bullet-proof, yet it flexes nicely :)

Yeah the problem (at least in my experience) is the "weld" on the rods. Whatever it is, must be a powerful process because on a couple of boxes, you can clearly see copper coming through where the weld burned through. Although where it is burned through, it is attached with small bits of weld on either side. What I think of is a "tear at the dotted line" type thing, you put too much pressure... it's gone. One of my boxes were obviously welded by someone very meticulous. The screen is almost wrapped and tucked under the rods, and is "tack" welded at all four corners, then welded almost underneath the rods, I love it because there are no "burs" or rough places to get build-up.

Managed to pierce my screen last night.

It has been slipping down the sides of the bowl for the last few months.

I tried pushing it back up with a pipe cleaner as it was starting to come away from the sides.

Managed to pierce it.. gutted!!

Just emailed MF about getting a replacement.

What do you mean it was slipping down the bowl? Any way you could post a pic of your broken LB so we can know what to look out for?

Those homemade magic flight launch boxes range from hilarious to admirable looking, you have to appreciate people's innovation.

Yeah, I wasn't trying to criticize anyone wanting to be crafty for whatever reason...but I know my launch box would look like ass, so it's worth the under 100 bucks price tag.

I think the only downside of the MFLB is it's long-term durability esp. if used as a daily vape...it is awesome and I wish I had one 4 years ago. I think I'm going to just use this particular vape as a portable...

Currently, I'm stoked for the PD that's in the mail as my personal regular vape. Personally, I'm feeling it's time to retire the Volcano to occasional and multi-user situations.

I was able to use a partially straightened paperclip inserted into the inhale hole to (gently!) push the screen back up and into the crack when this happened to me in the past.

I'm sure MF will take care of ya

I disagree. There's no evidence that the MFLB cant last over long-term periods of use. And if something did happen to it from normal wear and tear over time, the lifetime warranty has you covered.

Im not so sure.

Going by my own experience.

The first LB I had was faulty from the start.

The second had the screen slip down the sides of the bowl.

I'm now waiting for my third.

They are definitely good vapes, but so far 2 have gone wrong within a 6 month period.... thank goodness for the warranty!

I recieved my LB a few days ago. It does not seem to get hot. I have only tried it with the stock batteries that came with it and only with the pre charge that blissville gives you. I have not got the c9000 charger yet so i have no way of charging them yet. (should be here tomorrow).
Can i expect things to improve when i charge them with the c9000 or is that the way it is. I dont know what type of batterys these are, they say HL-AA2000LD 1031-LX on the side.
Any imput would be appreiciated.

You wont feel the heat from holding it. Have you tried to vape a trench? Do you get vapor? Does the light turn on?

If not, maybe your batteries need to be charged

If you put the battery in the box for 5 or so seconds and you are not seeing vapor come out the mouth hole, or you are not feeling the box heat up it is either the batteries are dead or you have a faulty box....most likely the batteries just need to be good and charged. When you get the charger do a full discharge then recharge and give it a shot....

OK.

I am and have been low on money for the past few years, so I have made no significant purchases in a long time; it's been me, my gass station bowl, and a small acrylic bong for a looong time haha. But after discovering this website, I started saving up and doing my reading. So I've done my research and am ready to make my first vaporizer purchase, the MFLB. I have decided to get the MFLB without the charger from BlissSville:

http://www.blisssville.com/product_info.php?products_id=203&osCsid=c132e072950ee68517477a7f68c06145

for $90.00 (does this come with everything but the carger? or will I need to get the $99 to get the whole kit?), and then go straight for 8 Maha Powerex 2700 mAh batteries:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/s...html?SP_id=&osCsid=3mhks4q375o8f3u0m238t2rg42

for $23.57 and the Maha MH-C9000 Advanced Charger:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/s...html?SP_id=&osCsid=a98rm8a91donrsllit8gi3gna7

for $48.97 with a MHS-DCO DC Cord12V Car Cord:

http://www.thomasdistributing.com/s...-p-420.html?osCsid=a98rm8a91donrsllit8gi3gna7

for $7.97 for the road!

This comes out to be about a $170.51 purchase (before shipping from different sites is included). Is this a decent price to get me started vaping? Are there cheaper sites?

Also, would you guys recommend the whip attachment for at home use? Or have any other tips or accessories you think I should grab while I'm gearing up? lol
Thanks guys, I absolutely love this forum!

Hi man I'll offer you my opinion but others might disagree. This is mostly cost-cutting stuff if you're looking to save money.

For starters you probably won't need eight 2700 batteries. I bought four 2700 batteries and they are fantastic, 2700 is a must have; the stock batteries are pretty average compared to them. Saying that I have only unwrapped two of those four and I circulate between the two stock batteries and the two 2700 ones - but that might just be my usage level.

Secondly I would say you don't need the fancy charger either if you're trying to save money. The one that comes with the LB is pretty good, it takes four hours but generally I just put them on when I'm going to bed (and set an alarm in four hours time to put on two more if I have to). Maybe you want to keep track of the battery levels and all that stuff but doing that isn't strictly necessary.

I'm curious about the whip too! I didn't order one but I'm starting to think the LB might be fun with a mini-bong .

If you're only home vaping though you could always get a Da Buddha or something like that for the same money - I mean they're a totally different beast, just depends on what you want. As far as value for money though I'd say a Da Buddha would offer more.

Hope some of that helps.

Thanks for the response man! I normally would be trying to save as much as possible, but I saved up to make a nice investment to have a good vapor experience. I will be home vaping, but portability is a must, so I need something I can use as a both a portable and home vape. I want the fancy charger to monitor energy levels, but (if im not mistaken, please someone correct me if i'm wrong) I also would like to be able to switch between fast or slow charging methods. This would be beneficial because I could charge up a few batteries for the next few days when I'm out, and have a few for the night time at home when I have the charger available to sit with me and recharge!

Hi,

I'm a newfound LB owner, I've been using mine for a bit more than a week.

I'm a fairly heavy user, and now I try to cut it down by loading small (0.1-0.15) trenches in the LB, and it's working pretty well. I almost always vape alone, maybe 6-8 trenches a day. This way I'm using less than with my EQ, which is now just gathering dust... And I got the LB to be my backup vape! :D

My method is similar to other people's methods, thanks for the person who suggested taking out the herbs after a few hits and crumbling them between my fingers... It works great.
I'm still learning the proper technique, my unit was really hot in the first few days, I even got real combustion twice (a small dark spot on the screen reminds me of this incident forever).

I have a question to all LB owners.

How long have you had your LB, and how often do you use it? What can I expect in terms of longetivity?

I'm a bit worried that my heavy usage will wear the box down within a few months. It's just a great vape, I find it hard to put it down. :)

Thanks!

I have had mine 6 months or so, daily, camping, fishing, windy, cold, work, anywhere I want. This and PD are all I have, just my opinion, best of both for home and travel

I've been using mine about a year now. Longevity with the MFLB comes down to keeping herbs off of the rods when vaping, and making them stay down in the trench. Don't shake the box haphazardly after a hit and get material everywhere, instead learn to tap on the bottom of the box to flip -n- roll the herbage.

derp, I've had mine for about 6 months and love it. I find I use it daily; often as a portable but mostly at night as my "nightcap" vape. IMO, if you clean it regularly and use it according to Magic Flight's instructions, you will have no problems with your LB, using it on a daily basis. There are several here that do, Vicki being one of them.

Besides, with Magic Flight's wonderful warranty, there really are no issues, right?
Happy vaping!
