Does anyone know a direct email or some kind of contact to get a hold of someone?

Well unfortunately my Bowle is not working properly. I've done the reset twice and still having little to no vaper even on 4 or 5. 4 being my go to #. In the past I hit it on 2 and had vaper. I checked the o-ring seal and it's good. My main concern is that it cuts off way to early, no matter how I hit it. S/N 001JA019
I'm going to contact Tafee and see what they say. In the meantime I use my Tinymight 2 and also use my Legecy Pro on demand mode.

Sad to say that I've also encountered an issue with my V2.

All was well for the first week, but in a seemingly random turn of events my Bowle developed a fairly strong smell/taste of burning electronics.
I've sent the unit in to Vapefiend for inspection as I didn't feel comfortable using the device due to potential negative health effects, nor did I want to exacerbate the issue.

I'm currently awaiting their response, but I'm debating asking for a refund in case there are more widespread problems with the initial batches.

Also? I don't recall anyone here having issue with the V2?
More widespread problems? I don't understand the basis for that concern.
Sorry you are having an issue, but I believe you can get a replacement, eh?

It was in response to the comment above mine, which I believe is regarding a V2 (based on the serial number mentioned).

Vapefiend confirmed the fault this morning and a replacement puck will be with me tomorrow! I'm a big fan of the Bowle, so I'm hopeful the new one won't have any issues. As an early adopter of the Series 2, I'm just a bit wary of any teething problems that may arise.

Yes, you're right. Also said he was hitting on "4 or 5"...

My Bowle is not working at all....because I don't have one. How did I miss a sale on their website...I look almost everyday. I also have signed up a million times for their emails...I did not get one email saying to me they were in stock...so, my question. Did the Bowle go on sale on their site? Do all of you with the new Bowle get it only from Vapefiend?

As I said yestrday, the Notify Me email was not sent, at least not to me or you!
Yes, Bowle II was on the Tafee site, both batches.
Pay attention to this thread, it is as reliable and about as timely as anything else re; the Bowle's happenings.

When you say both batches...what does that mean please? Also, thank you for your response. I appreciate it.

Ah...what happend to my tafee bowle grinder Version 1.
I havent used the grinder (potter) since a long time. And it was pretty dirty. So i wanted to clean it with iso today. It was not exposed to the iso for a long time. But the black plastic and everything totaly turned white. Like almost desolved. I have seen something like this before. I can throw it away now.
I would post a picture.
But i guess that this phenomenon is known. And it seems it is not allowed to clean the Potter with iso!?

This happened to me before, but I posted it in the wrong thread.
Wait…… I thought you shouldn’t use iso with plastic. I cleaned my plastic potter (Bowle) with iso and it got fucked up (black potter turned white). So I haven’t been cleaning my POM.

Yep, it’s acrylic, just like the glassware. As such, iso is definitely on the “no” list. Hot water and dish soap should do fine; if that’s not enough to get the job done I’d try powdered brewery wash.

I received my replacement V2 today, and I'm happy to report that it's functioning much better than my original puck. I'm getting more vapour in a shorter amount of time, and I couldn't be happier with the performance.

What's interesting is that this unit has a completely different feel compared to my first device. The external finish has a smooth, glossy texture, so it seems that they may have added some kind of protective layer to prevent wear - not something that was present on my S/N:091 puck (this one is in the 800's).

One thing that I am slightly unhappy about is the ball catch, though. There's barely any resistance when inserting the stem, and it's missing the iconic click when fitted. It's something that I can overlook, but wanted to mention it nonetheless.

Still only a few bowls behind me but so far can’t find anything that would bother me anymore.

Finally no need to have another cable, v1 was my last device. Also battery life now feels almost bonkers to me. No heater cutoffs yet. Haptic feedback is enjoyable improvement. Still the same cool and tasty vapor no matter the draw. In the nutshell, Bowle will still be my daily driver.
My first generation Bowle never had any problems and I still love it.

I also miss that satisfying sound and feel of the original stem insertion, wondering if it's an intentional design change to reduce insertion wear skid marks?

@letter never sent -- I have both. Don't use the original any longer. Series II is an improved experience, slightly easier draw, fewer heater cut-offs, don't need to maintain the original's steady firm draw to avoid cut-off, one tap starts heater and one tap stops for easier clearing draw

Stem design remains unchanged, same great cooling, but slightly larger -- don't insert into original puck or it will get stuck and scratch finish removing it. Pots are the same

It appears that my replacement puck has also developed a strange taste/smell of electronics, within less than 48 hours and minimal use.

It leads me to believe I'm doing something wrong, but I can't think of anything that would class as outside of ordinary usage.

Has anybody else here had an experience like this?

Tbh no… I have had that ‘electronic’ taste from my mighty before/other devices, but never from the Bowle. That said I can’t think for the life of me how you could be doing anything wrong either..
I mean it’s not like there’s much that can go wrong from the users end, except for draw speed-

Do you sip on the vapor very slowly?
(Maybe without enough cool air coming in it’s heating up the alloy of the body / heating up the electronics or something)
Edit: Even then I find that strange and unlikely. Hopefully it’s just a small fix and they can get you taken care of!

I was considering my draw speed as a potential issue, but I wouldn't say that it's slow to the point where it would cause a build-up of heat inside the unit. I aim for a certain amount of turbulence when inhaling, so my draws were usually at a steady, medium pace to achieve this.

I'll report back if I'm made aware of any potential causes by Vapefiend/Tafée.
