Some months ago I heard a song sung by Disturbed on Conan's show and thought it was amazing. It was even better when you look at the body of work of the band which is generally more........METAL! 
Anyone have any other examples where the Diamond in the rough or the Turd in the punchbowl of a song different from a band's normal portfolio made you love or hate a band?
