Don't know if you guys have seen this, but I just did.

This girl, 24 years old, is a sand painter and in this vid, she draws a series of pictures on an illuminated sand table showing how ordinary people were affected by the German invasion of her homeland in the Ukraine during WW II.

The Great Patriotic War, as it was called in the Ukraine, resulted in one in four of the population being killed with 8 to 11 million deaths out of a population of 42 million and being that this performance was done in her homeland, it was pretty emotional for the viewers.

Enjoy...........

Beautiful, but too emotional, to enjoy in a normal sense. Never seen anything like it... Thanks.

I know, huh? From someone who has a tough time with stick figures, I am just in awe. What a great medium to work with...........sand.
Add some great music and ya got a bit of magic.

But yeah, maybe "enjoy" was the wrong word. "Appreciate" would have been better maybe.

I'd like to see Pammy's face when you show this to her, being the artist that she is.

This is truly amazing. The detail that she can get, so quickly, out of sand blows my mind. Thanks for sharing lwien.

In a similar vein, have any of you heard of this young man? He is an autistic savant that can fly over a city once and then draw it from memory. I've attached the link for his trip over Rome. Probably should have done it last month as it was autism awareness month, but, here it is; enjoy:
