what's a decent simple digital camera to get that has good battery life?
my all time favorite is the sony mavica but floppy discs are thing of the past.
i'm thinking of all the fun i can have photographing the PD against the urban grit backdrop of my locale -
you guys will definitely be entertained.

Btw, why do they have street signals? There's no one there to stop. :)

Looking good! How complicated is the assembly?

For me the assembly was pretty easy... but I tinker around with alot of thing so I had alot of the skills already in place. There were a couple of things that I had a problem with, but was quickly able to figure out solutions to each problem. Highly enjoyable build.
Still haven't done the stems yet. Those are tomorrow. I'm going to use my other stems until I get off my ass and shape the stems. Since I already have three I know I am going to procrastinate in getting the remaining three put together....
I feel a great sense of accomplishment. I kind of want to put another one together after putting this one together.
Will post pics tomorrow.

I see Barrista420 had a helluva day. I stopped in while his original post was up. I suppose much of it was deleted because private e-mail is a no-no according to the rules. Since he already has posted his half (and mine) we can assume we have his permission to reprint things he has already posted. And My e-mail is now posted with my permission. So as Paul Harvey says, NOwww, the rest of the story:

This was never about a custom request. The 'custom request' was a purple leather bottom in a Pandora Kit. No big deal, that can be handled with a simple e-mail.

What Barrista wanted was a multiple item order. We combine shipping and save the customer some money. But, this requires a 'custom' checkout. No big deal right? 1) Go to your e-store manager and make a custom item. 2) Publish the store 3) Download the store into Yahoo Sitebuilder. 4) make a new webpage within your store (on sitebuilder) including some personalization Pammy does with almost all of them... 5) Publish website 6) Check checkout function 7) e-mail customer with link .

Pammy got tired and didn't want to make a mistake late at night. What the heck first thing in the morning will have to do... (good call Pammy)

Here is are the e-mails in question verbatim, no deletions other than to keep identities private:

A) Monday, March 08, 2010 3:56 PM
Hey Mark,

That's fine. I'll make you a Checkout Link as soon as I can, (that may not be until this evening, though). Mondays are big days:) I'll email you with your Checkout Link later.

The Stash boxes are made in Cherry, just like the Pandoras.

Have a great day!
Pammy

Hi, I look your e-mail address up and get no return in our e-mail backups.

Oh the Purple bottom guy.

Nope, sorry for you, but the deal is off. See your last e-mail... to Pammy. Pammy didn't get to your checkout that night (reason not important) and the next morning at 8:30AM you started shouting at her and made her cry. Not acceptable. Ruined a good portion of our day.

Nope, I am not going to make a special request of any kind for you. Or anything else. Sorry, that's not how it works. I am swamped and even if I was starving for work would not make soup for you now. No specials or any other products of any kind, just move on, please.

There are lots of products on the market and I'm sure you will find one you like.

Thanks for your interest, please don't use up any more of Pammy's time or upset her further, please. All further e-mail will be blocked or deleted.

Best Regards,
Tom

End of e-mails? No he had to fire another off, but it was deleted without reading. Why waste the time?

So if anybody wondered what got deleted... it's back up here with both parties consent.
And of course he has closed that account and opened another this afternoon with a black and white bad-boy avatar and is ragging on me personally. When you get a bad feeling about somebody it's best to go with your gut. I can see I was right, thanks for saying so, and your kind words everyone... ;)

BTW our 'little friend' is now trying to flood us with junk e-mail. Takes about 20 seconds off my day.

Loving the pics... :D

Awesome :D As long as I can build one, I'll probably end up at least one more... My fiancee saw it and would like to get creative with a woodburning kit.

edamame, there is a Pandora thread up now. But to answer the Pandora woodburning issue we supply some cherry wood that you can practice on first. Right now it comes in the form of a clamping block, but if we change the block to another material we will still put in some cherry for practice.

I like the 3 Stooges, if i went Pandora maybe then The Four Horsemen? I think with my new furnace i bought a few weeks ago, I will refrain from buying one for a year or so. But the Pandora can't stay out of my head forever.

BUZZHEAD,
A message to Purple Day.
I was wondering if there is custom charge in Canada or sale taxes?
I was also wondering what is the company you use for shipping of the pandora kit and the speed for it to be delivered
Thanks you!

Hi BDB, the PD Original is sold through VapeNow, but I think I saw (from another thread) that you were interested in the Pandora, which we (Pammy and I) sell and ship. The two products are handled very differently.

Pandora Kits have a 3-4 week waiting list. And shipping 1st class mail through Canadian Customs is about a 7-10 day delay for any package. There is no sales tax or other charges. US and Canada Customers pay the same, US customers get 2-3 day riority Shipping, but that is not available to Canada, the cost works out about the same, so one rate in North America.

Stop on by the 'Pandora Kit by Purple-Days' thread with any questions you have about the kit, so others can learn too. Thanks for your interest in our products. :)
