As the US government tries to find a way to tax and regulate online poker boat loads of cash are still going to off shore gambling poker sites. April 15 2011 Black Friday as we call it the online poker ban started since then Vegas casinos and the rest of the industry have taken a big hit. Popularity has dropped including a drop in TV ratings, tournament sponsorship. The online sites send players to the World series of poker main event for free or much less then the $10,000 entry fee people see that and it fuels popularity. Up until 2006 each year the WSOP main event had more entries then the year before. In the main event alone, the number of participants grew from 839 in 2003 to 8,773 in 2006. So now we wait for laws legislation to lighten up money being lost speeds this up. In the next year online poker will be getting back on track. Soon after casino card rooms fill back up all that donkey and weekend warrior cash will flood the pockets of the players.

Now is as good of a time as ever to learn to play if you have self-control and patience, math skills, ability to read people able to keep focus for long periods of time. Many people playing have none of these things lots have way more money then brains. A lot of people after years of playing Tilt play bad it's something about the game that makes people go crazy. I think it's the pressure of self-control and patience. I've been playing Live poker not online for about 10 years but on a break for a year trying to regain my hunger greed for money. I have no math skills little self-control or patience I can keep focused and I can read people I can pick up on tells fast touching your face I might call your bets lean forward or look at your chips after a card is revealed I might fold but I'm more into profiling, stereotyping. A hard way to make an easy living
