Old Thai Weed

Someones just given me 7g of what appears to be old Thai weed.Smells a bit musty ,I can't see any mould but what are the telltale signs of mould on thai weed?.Vaped a couple of bowls and it tastes crap but got me there.Anyone have much experience with Thai weed?.I've had good stuff which was nice and sticky/sweet smelling.This smells old and musty.

my sense of smell isn't that good so I can't say much about smell, but the thai they have here in some coffeeshops always has that typical brown color of imported weed, looks like shit but turns out to be ok and taste ok when smoked
