Non-drop solution to red eyes?

I only really need eyedrops if I'm going into a heavy, multiple-bowl session, usually at night when my arthritis is at its worst. Other than that, I've noticed that vaporizing correctly actually does a pretty good job of NOT making my eyes red, unless I'm incredibly stoned, eyes half-opened, etc.

I agree. I don't need 'em anymore, unless I'm having a really heavy session.

I had a really bad... (I'm not sure what to call it, reflex maybe?) when I was smoking and using eyedrops daily a few years ago. Went to put them in one day as I got to work, but apparently my eyes had finally had enough, and turned almost a solid red and hurt like hell for the next few hours.

Since then I've only used eyedrops when I really need to, which isnt very often with vaping :)

Peloton,
Clear Eyes sting my eyes less than Visene. Lately Visine just seems to make my eyes more red. I'll try Rohto and cold spoons. I'm not worried about dependency, I don't use drops every day. Once every few days if I'm worried my eyes are really red.

if clear eyes stings your eyes don't try the rohto ice. been using it for a few months and going to get a different brand on payday. only stings when you put it in but still don't like it. visine was okay in the past. might try the allergy relief one next.

Poochka,
Clear eyes doesn't sting my eyes, that's why I use it. I wore contacts for many years, so stinging is not the issue - the issue is that Visine doesn't make my eyes less red, often makes them more red. I'm okay with a little stinging if it works.

if you wear contacts you might want to check with the doc. rohto does not recommend using its drops if you wear contacts. heard many others make the same warning. been thinking of using the plain drops that don't reduce redness. moisturizing action only. hope you find some that will work. if i stay away from ATF all is good, a little redness. use ATF and the whites are gone lol

Poochka,
I stopped wearing mine about a year ago. Straight corrective lenses for me now. There are contact lens eye drops. Visine makes some, Bausch and Laum, but I used them for lubrication, not red eye.

kingofnull,
that burn is why I never will use eyedrops.. I'm crosseyed(no lazy eye but always only look with 1 eye, unless I'm high in wich case I look with both), and in the past I've been to the eyedoctor/specialist for that a few times and I've gotten eyedrops a few times(to make my pupils expand), and I remember how bad that stung, so I will never use eyedrops
I've had that done too at the eye doctor and those ones were different than most normal eyedrops. I use Systane Ultra which are not redness reducing by name, but they are so lubricating and moisturizing that they actually do relieve a lot of the redness I experience. They don't burn or sting at all when you put them in, I absolutely promise. The touch of the drop on the eye is strange, but only for an 1/8th of a second because once they're in your eyes, they feel so damn nice and smooth and rolley polley olley. They're kind of expensive but they're worth it. Try either those, or GenTeal drops (not the gel, that stuff's a pain in the ass). Both are fantastic. I use them a ton while medicated because my eyes feel dryer than normal, and when they're all lubed up they just feel so nice and smooth, it almost makes you wanna look at stuff more. Best wishes.

thanks.
but I still don't have a reason to use eyedrops, most of the time it doesn't matter if my eyes get red, and I almost never get red eyes anymore.
