mixing concentrates with concentrates

I was thinking that since cannabis effects get enhanced when combined with some other plants like damiana, nepeta cataria, blue lotus etc maybe if i make an extraction out of these plants i could get some concentrate wich mixed with qwiso or bho could be different taste (maybe more intense or eveb better taste?)? anyone has tried anything similar?anyone knows some ways of extracting damiana or lavender or something like that?

I've wondered the same thing. I'm ordering some blue lotus stamens and petals to attempt to make qwiso and tinctures with. Just to experiment, I'd assume you can make qwiso since people make tinctures/drinks out of it. If I successfully turn it into an oil with good effects I'll definitely try to dab some. Has anyone here ever tried that before?

I’ve made snus, hops, cloves, pipe tobacco, and mint ejuice using the Liquidizer butane extractor.
There's a dedicated thread right here for it, hope to post photos of my runs soon.

yes but thats e liquid right?i mean can it be combined with qwiso or bho?and what kind of attomizer u need for the mix?

The problem is natural extracts are very heavy and e liquids are usually very light. They don't mix well because the density of the two is so different they end separating into layers. The Liquidizer Herb2Vapor Kit includes their own EJmix, which labels says "is a blend of PG and PEG400,300,200". The extract and liquid mix completely, which makes what they call "Electric Juice." The Electric Juice I've mixed with other herbal extracts as well as nicotine liquids. My favorite result so far is just going outside and grabbing some wild mild that I just toss into the extract tube with my herbs. The atomizer they include is a direct-drip bare wick cartomizer. But that's if you want to vape concentrated juice. You can also dilute, but if you've vaped chocolate/coffee/dark e-liquids before, you know a normal atty won't taste good for long.

So I made some qwiso out of white sage today, never got around to ordering that blue lotus. The ONLY reason that I did this was to test a silicone baking mat to see if the iso reacted in any way with the mat. I thought even if they didn’t work with iso I’d still use them for cooking. I purchased these mats from amazon; http://www.amazon.com/Silicone-Baking-Mat-Stick-Surface/dp/B00629K4YK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&qid=1358995623&sr=8-1&keywords=silicone baking mat
Anyways I soaked some white sage, filtered it and poured half in my usual glass dish and the other half on the mat in another dish, normal qwiso procedure. Then I allowed them to air evap and they have the same flavor, taste consistency, smell, everything. So I tried a dab of each to test the flavor, it tasted pretty funky but most importantly they tasted the same!

Look kinda like qwiso?

So the point is that this could be dissolved into alcohol again with some other concentrate or hash. Shit, it could even be added to the weed before the extraction. I wouldn’t do it with white sage but if I could find something with a good, light flavor then I would definitely consider doing it. I only tried qwiso, no other methods of extraction or types of solvents.
IMO I cant see any herb being strong enough to be able to feel its effects when you dab weed oil; it'd have to be something very strong like a tobacco extract or something. IMO the only thing it will add is flavor. I'd like to take a small amount from each batch of oil I make and flavor it to mix it up. I could see lavender, mint, or maybe passion flower tasting good. You'll obviously have to experiment to see which type of extract produces the best concentrate and flavor with a given herb. And if other herbs are anything like weed then butane will probably work great for flavor.

Slightly off topic, but extracting multiple things into an alcohol tincture works wonderfully. I've had a tincture that had cannabis, passion fruit, green tea, and coffee infused in it, and it was great. Put a little bit of it in my morning OJ, good stuff.

If your cool with tinctures, I would suggest it. Works best with 100 proof vodka, 50/50 combo of solvents, one semi-polar the other highly polar, grabs a very wide range of stuff in the extraction.

i found out that damianna can be extracted with aceton pretty well and it has some effect really close to cannabis...+ its some kind of aphrodisiac...so i've been thinking maybe a mix of damiana and cannabis herb---> extract with ISO ---> vape and then i'll let u guys know what i found out.

also z9 tell us if the pads worked properly.

Hyde I would do a wash with the damiana by itself to see how it reacts with iso before you mix it with weed. The taste and vapor could be unpleasant. Kind of like how the vapor over soaked qwiso is really heavy in your lungs and has a really smokey flavor. I don't know just a thought before you go washing your weed with it. Unless the flavor is really good, idk about mixing it with your qwiso.

I'm thinking a vanilla bean extract might be pretty tastey. I wonder if there's anything in these other herbs that we don't want to be vaporizing concentrated amounts of.

The mats work good, they're pretty large too. Everything but my oil sticks to it. They definitely work better with drier oil. I have very limited experience with oil slick products but these seem to be on par with them. I don't know about using these for multiple butane runs... Didnt oil slick change to medical grade silicone because of the havoc that repeated butane extractions wreaked on their food grade silicone? Artisan Metal Works claims that these pads are fda and lfgb approved, not that those approvals mean that much. They're just your standard food grade silicone baking sheet.

i've tried some BHO that had fresh hops and lavender added to the extractor tube with the herb.
it wasn't bad but i didn't opt to have more when available.

i found that damiana has nice taste + it has some active ingridient that attaches to cbd2 receptors (means it can work as a potentiator making cannabis effects stronger)

@sticky that's what I was thinking would happen with certain herbs. What did it taste like? How strong was it?

I want my usual oil with a side of some flavored oil.

Edit: ah I got ninja'd by hyde. I'll have to look into some damiana then. I've been taking 5 htp powder and have noticed that my high lasts longer.
