Marijuana Repeal Considered in Colorado

A proposal for a marijuana ballot measure came up as Colorado lawmakers were working on bills to regulate and tax recreational cannabis. The proposed bill would require a NEW ballot measure for voters to approve a 30% tax, in addition to the sales tax, on recreational marijuana. The bill's language requires canceling the legalization of recreational marijuana in Colorado if the voters don't agree to approve the excessive tax.

There's a legal term for this sort of thing. It's called EXTORTION, or by its less fancy name, BLACKMAIL. This is only a proposed bill, but we the people must remain vigilant. Citizens of Colorado: Do not let your legislators blackmail you! :goon:

How does that work?

If you can make a bill retroactively cancel out another bill if it doesn't pass, then just make yet another bill, that is pro MMJ, and word that so that if it fails, it retroactively brings the first one back again...

I know that sounds utterly retarded...
Exactly like this new bill...

I doubt if they have the cheek to pass something that effectively repeals what the voters just approved.
