Is it safe to glue or strap broken heater cover?

Hello, I broke my third heater cover for my LSV trying to get it just right. This time just the bottom cracked off clean so I can technically hold it in place and its perfect. It just chipped into two pieces. Is there any safe high temp glue to use or some steel strap I could put around it. I will order another one but I'm dreading being without LSV for another long time and dont really have the money for another HC right now.

So am I outa luck or is there any safe way to fix this...keep in mind I could glue on the outside only or maybe put some kind of tape or stainless steel strap and it wouldn't be in the vapor path. Thought I might as well ask here though, thanks!

JB Weld should work. its non toxic and can handle temps up to 600 degrees. it may look ugly a bit but should work well. thats what Rick uses to seal his glass tooty stems. it's only 7-10 bucks. worth a try.

shout out to Rick.
