I'm thinking of making a custom vape outa my broken PD's body...

My Purple Days Pandora died for good finally, so I was thinking...why not make it into something using a soldering iron. I could empty it out and stick that through with a DBV heater cover maybe. Whats a safe kind of soldering iron to use that has an adjustable temperature?

It was the first PD I built so I made a few mistakes and this would be my second time repairing it. I'm more into variable temp these days anyway, so I thought it would be a chance for a fun project.

I think that is a great idea. If you plan to use a heating element instead of the resistor that comes standard, I would look into a non-toxic insulation. The resistor has a very slow and steady heat up time and stays at low temps (under 400 deg F), if you switch to a ceramic element then it will heat much faster and also reach much higher temperatures and the drastic temperature fluctuation may cause cracks in the the wood body, insulation could help keep the wood from overheating.
