I did the firmware update on the Square pro (3rd iteration, just got it a week ago) and was still getting inconsistent vapor production. I contacted haze and they told me to set all the Temps above 400° (current spread is 380, 400, 420, 435, and 450) and it was still spotty. I put an o ring around the ceramic bowl and under the seal which seemed to make it a little better. Even at the highest temp settings tho I would still have to draw for 20sec+ to see any vapor. I typically like to vape at lower Temps (355-380 or so) and tho I dont care about blowing massive clouds, some visible vapor would be nice just to know it's working, which I currently can't get at those temperature ranges. Does this sound like my expectations/technique is wrong, or is this something I should send in for a warranty request? I did just vape a bowl that I filled loosely to the top and then tamped down which gave me more consistent vapor, but 1 bowl isnt enough to tell if this is a fix or a fluke.
Please send me a picture of your lid (air filters) and image of your lid with your tray installed. I can troubleshoot for you

Sounds like you might have an incomplete seal. Check very closley at the edges where the screen above the pod meets the silicon. Any gap or unevenness Between the two will cuse vapor leaks. if the silicon that the pods sit in isnt fully flattened and seated correctly, a pods may sit cockeyed causing similar issues. Try while its plugged in too. A weak or bad battery will produce less heat.
Grind fine and tamp light. Fingers crossed for ya!

I could get vapor at 350. You need to fully pack and lightly tamp. Tamp enough so when you tilt the pot no weed falls out.

I am still just blown away by how this this is hitting since I've gotten it back from Haze. All of my friends who had tried it before are even noticing that its just killing lol. Love it!

I can't wait to get my Square back from Haze. Nothing I have compares to the square right now. Using my bud with any other vape is almost a waste! I'm just going to wait it out impatiently.

Is this the lid (screen) everyone is using?

I need to use a screen to keep herbs packed down INSIDE pod.

I've been getting a lot of bud (a small pile) stuck on top screen and uneven avb and unvaped bud

Here is screenshot of my troubleshooting with a customer who claimed that she cannot get any vapor and who thought that she had a defective unit. With couple quick steps, she started enjoying it. I decided to take screenshots and post here. This may help some of the folks out there whom they think that the unit does not produce vapor.

A nice tip that I realized is tamp enough so that when you tilt your pod the weed does not fall out. You want it snug so it does not shift. Just adding to what Haze posted about the pack and the photo. Her photo of the full pod was too lose in my opinion. Need a light tamp so it’s uniform and snug and does not shift.

Totally agree, best vape ever. Missing my baby, hope she gets back soon.

I finally am where I always wanted to be with this unit....able to take a.couple of hits and get a good buzz....put it down and come back in a little....and repeat....I also love the fact that since every pod has its own air path filters ...once one gets to producing badly....I just rotate and I know it will be a fresh pod with no problems (until all four are dirty).....

@Haze Vaporizers you definitely have a winner in my book!!!

Haze is currently testing microdose pods...in the meantime the ways described above and previously are the best ways to get good results imo......
Have the Volcano Digital and use the micro dosing capsules. I normally vape .08 gms of flower with fantastic results. Wondering if their capsules would fit into the Haze Square. If they do definitely would buy this.

They fit but there's some space around them I would just wait for the microdosing pods or what ever it will be from Haze.

I need to send my Haze back in. I went to visit my son on vacation. He knew about the Haze, because he was down here when I went on the ( pre-order ) waiting list. It arrived, and had to be sent it in. Okay, fine. Got it back, and have had problems with combustion. So, I didn't use for it for a month or 2. Go on vacation, it didn't work at all. Yes, it was charged. I don't know what happened. Has anyone experienced this, or heard of something similar? Bums me out, so bad. I looked so forward to getting this, and I've just not been pleased.

Anyone using ss pods instead of black ones
Yeah, I am. 4 of them, all 4 using a grinder + Magic Flight finishing grinder and those steel screens that fit in the pods that someone posted a while back in the thread. Great, consistent high, and my chance of combustion ever since I changed grind (from medium grind via Santa Cruz grinder) has gone from 1/3 combusting to 0.

I changed my pod and my grind at about the same time, so it's hard to say what part of my current experience is due to the pod and what's due to the grind (or steel screen). I've heard people say flavor is better with the black pods, and I'd probably agree with that. I'm going to experiment more with the steel screens too, they really help keep things clean (and I've heard they may be good spacers if you don't fill your pods all the way) but I think if I just tamped the material more (I tamp very lightly right now) it may be as clean and maybe even more flavor/vapor than with the steel screen.

...I also should probably deep clean, I'm lazy and haven't in 7 months, just a brush and alcohol swabs on everything visible.

Anyhow, having a bit of a problem:

The mouth piece on my 7 month old Square is abnormally wobbly and loose when I put it in. Sometimes it falls out when I lift the vape up, or when I take my mouth off it. I can hold the device with the mouth piece facing down down and give it a light shake and it falls out. It used to stay in place much better. The mouth piece itself looks fine at first glance, which worries me that it might be a problem with the actual device itself.

Anyone else experience this?

Wow no deep clean in 7 months. You are most certainly not getting as good of vapor as your could be. Especially if you used to have combustion issues - that taste doesn't come off without a deep clean. Clean that sh*t bro!

As for the mouthpeice - two things. First those would have been before they used slightly larger o-rings. Also, the o-rings have probably deteriorated slightly by now. Just order new o-rings for the mouthpeice and your good.
