Flower + CBD powder or CBD dab wax= darker ABV?

I've been trying CBD several ways lately and noticed: flower vapes with CBD powder/CBD wax = much darker ABV.
In fact, this flower/CBD ABV doesn't pass "inspection" at the end of the vape, doesn't gain entry into the ABV jar.
I don't want to ruin my ABV with some "sub-charred" ABV.
To the naked eye it looks blackened, like it is charred.
Looking with the magn glass, it's really just dark dark brown.

Rather not take a chance on it :)

WHY is this ABV much darker with CBD powder? With CBD dab wax? Wax seems more easily understood as darkening could also be attributed to the "wax carrier"--whatever it is...

I usually mix 1.5 grams of isolate into 14 ml of mct oil and come up with a tincture that’s 5mg per drop.
Never tried to vape it will it hit at 338f in a solo ll?
I also am protective of my abv.
My kief laced hits usually lighten the abv so you would think pure isolate would do the same.
Maybe someone that dabs it can enlighten as to what the leftover residue is comprised of.
