Almost there...
After two weeks away from my Nano and having to combust second or maybe third grade weed fro those weeks i am happy to be home again!
One short session last night and it put me in a coma!!!
I was sitting in bed watching Family Guy and only remember about 2 minutes of the show!!
My wife said i was sitting up in bed but i don't remember anything!!!

Gotta love quality herb and an awesome vape!!!!

Just use a bit of random silicon tubing, just a small section, like 1/4", cut it open and put it on your gong, c-clip style.

To all those talking about the hot gong and blowback being a problem, just use a male to female adapter before the gong and pull the adapter and gong to clear your piece.

I've never had a problem with blowback with my gong and I've used it on a variety of pieces.

Blowback becomes more of a problem when you use small amounts of material, and when your adapters /gongs are low drag (often a screen adds enough drag to prevent blowback). Or when your downstem holds a big water volume, like most stemless designs do.

Can you post a picture of your set up?
EDIT: I get it.

Very good ideal!

Instead of dealing with the GonG how about a CARBURETOR on your water piece?

Okay, but my water piece doesn't have a carb and I'm not too keen on the idea of trying to drill one. lol.

The silicon should work. The adapter idea is good, but I'd rather not have multiple connections on my bubbler if I can help it. I will definitely keep that idea in mind as a second option, though.

Just exploring the Epic site this morning and notice something that wasn't there before? The personalized option on the Nano is sweet! Love that!

Definitely second (or third or fourth) the desire for a handle on the GONG. Not crazy about silicone method, though I can work pulling it pretty well using the epic tool.

Thinking about picking up another and sending to a blower to have a horn or handle added. Just a little curved horn on there you could grab with a finger while pulling off the nano would be great!

I think the GONG is perfect!
Use a ASH CATCHER or a Male to Female adapter to create your carburetor.
Seriously this little device with a tiny bit of imagination will kick your a@@!

I've only had 4 sessions with this NANO and it has to be the easiest device concerning learning curve!

A handle or horn would not make it any less ass-kicking, though. It would just eliminate the need for something else (silicon, ash catcher, adapter, etc.) to clear it.

FWIW, I throw my :2c: in as well:

I dont like a stiff connection between my glass and logvapes. Somehow I don't like that stiff glass on glass feeling when you have a cord attached at one end that could tip over or break the whole assemply.
I always have a soft connection in there somewhere, something that can flex when the cord gets pulled or whatever.
For the Nano and similar vapes I make my own gongs and adapters. As for the Nano, I just cut the gongs apart and reconnect them with a short lenght of silicone tubing. Or put a gong in a likewise fashion into a suitable glass joint that I have lying around.
Always aiming for non restrictive adapters/screens/gong setups.

In this way I have flexible gongs plus a safe spot to grab the hot adapters. Nice.

Dafni do you have any pics of your gong? what do you mean by cutting the gong apart?

I never post pics on here, sorry.

By cutting them apart I mean just that, cut them between the joint and the constriction/screen with a little nifty diamond saw I have, and smooth out the edges with an oxygen torch.

Cutting these adapter things apart started when I first got an EQ. Thing has a ridiculously restricting "elbow"... worked much better for me by just cutting the top off and forcing the tubing over the new wide open hole

Anyway, ever since then I am used to cut and reassemple glass parts. I have a nice collection of Nano adapters by now. Making me wish to rethink my no-pictures-on-a-pot-site-that-sounds-like-a-porn-site policy LOL
