I know I want to upgrade from an Extreme Q to a GonG wooden log vape for my upcoming Leviathan Big Mona order (I love water pathways/bubblers!), but I can't decide between an Underdog or an E-Nano vape (on wait list for the HI Log for six more months :().

Are the Underdog and E-Nano similar? Are there any other alternatives I should check out? I'm putting a premium on GonG-to-Bubbler pathway, minimal pathway before hitting the bubbler, *fast* vapor production (from off to vapor clouds in <= 2/3 minutes), really nice thick cloud vapor production, and flavor.
The NANO is flavor city!

I've been thinking about this so I thought I would post my idea. I know there is a thread for glass but it's not eNano or log-style (stem-size) specific so here it is.
I don't know any glass blowers, I don't know if this would be cost prohibitive or if would even make that much of a difference from the standard glass-screen stem, but I bet it would. Anyway I'm posting it to see how you guys think it would work. I don't know if Andy does his own glass work or if this would be worth a blower trying. I think it would be worth making one with baffles in the chamber and one without just to see. Maybe something like this has been done and y'all can educate me.

Chamber - aids in cooling vapor and provides a nice visual of the vapor. You might even have baffles in here to further lengthen the path thereby further cooling the vapor.

Second Screen - why not, further blocks particulate

Tapered channel - the solid glass gets thicker as the channel tapers thereby cooling acting as a heatsync.

The Python just ate stem...

A Glass Blower can make this easy.

Try it you'll like it!

Sometimes I use whole Flower Nuggets without screens!

What kind of screen does the standard 18mm GonG take? I'm buying my E-Nano tomorrow second-hand from an FC member, just curious.

Almost there...
So, I'm expecting to receive my E-Nano in the mail today (yay!), are there any basic newbie tips or advice I should know before using my new vape? EG, ideal temperature setting, loading the vape, etc

Plug it in and set the dial to 6.5, if it is too hot turn it down and vice versa for cold.
Leave it alone for 10 minutes, this allows it to heat up nicely and be able to keep the heat while drawing on the stem.
Load up a stem, no need to grind, just use a small nug and do not pack it in too tight as it gets quite difficult to draw.
Set the stem onto the heater stem and draw a nice long even inhale.
Hold for as long/short as you like and exhale.
Depending on your herb, you should get at least 5 draws from a stem.
Some of my herb i can get 10+ draws on and it is still tasty and strong!!

This is just how i do it, you will pick up your own technique after a few days and find your ideal temp!

Thanks for the tips! I primarily want to use mine with a bubbler or water path the vast majority of the time, is there anything else I should know in that regard?

edit: Also, how long can I safely leave the vape on while I'm not using it? Would it be okay if I accidentally leave it on and fall asleep?

edit 2: Finally got to try my e-nano and - HOLY SHIT THIS VAPE IS AMAZING AND WONDERFUL!! :D

Seriously, after coming from an Extreme Q and a Glass Sherlock Vaporgenie, I didn't know how my vaporizing experience could get much better from there, if at all.

Wow, I was definitely wrong.

Awesome airflow, cute little profile (it looks like a baby wooden GlaDoS!), relatively quick heat up time, GonG attachment for bubblers (cannot wait for my Big Mona!), and (technically speaking) all-glass transfer which, with the all-glass direct draw, tastes amazing and produces nice thick consistent clouds.

This shit is the bomb! Totally worth the price! :spliff:

I think the only way up from here is a VapeXhale Cloud Evo or the Sublimator lol

Plus, it gently warms your hand if you hold it! Great for people like me whose hands get a little cold when inside and vaping.

edit 3: This vape is seriously impressive and kicks like a mule through my tolerance. A++!

The NANO is a powerful kick ass device no doubt.
So Stoked to have seen the light!

I can afford whatever I want really however for me it would be foolish to spend money irresponsibly. The other high powered vaporizers are great I'm sure. The Cannabis Flower is why we vape and medicate harmlessly. The NANO does this without distorting the flavor.
That reason alone has made me a big fan. I have really good devices and the money I have saved enables me to medicate with TOP SHELF quality.

TheRamblingSoul makes me realize that I have done the right thing in choosing the NANO to medicate with.

Size = A+
Heat up time = A+
Flavor = A+++

Also realized another cool thing about the all-glass dry stem:

Use the mouth bubbler technique. IE, hold some water in your mouth as you draw on the E-Nano. It's like a bubbler for your mouth. It allows you to do super big hits, even when the dry stem is almost not bothersome on the throat at all compared to the Vaporgenie. Makes for an interesting transition given my background. ;)

My e-nano review...

I received my naked maple nano in March after the long wait for the heaters to come in. Since then it has been my daily driver overtaking the LSV which I had been using as my main before that. It is almost perfect for me but there are a couple things that keep it from reaching that level.

First the device itself. It is way smaller than I expected it to be. Coming from the LSV I wasn't too sure about it but now that I've been using it for months it feels great to me. The wood is beautiful and very durable, it has tipped over on my desk a few times and there is only one little ding on it. I didn't originally order it naked but after the wait Andy gave me the choice of going naked or waiting a few more days for the markings to be put on. I went naked and now I'm glad that I did. I'm pleased to hear that is the standard now. In this world of branding and marketing there is something nice about a clean looking piece.

The cord...this is the bad part. To put it bluntly I fucking hate it. The dimmer box is way too close to the nano. It moves around all the time when I pick up the unit to take a hit. This movement has caused the dial to move around and change temp which is very frustrating especially when it causes me to combust. IMO this really needs to be changed as its the only thing keeping me from ordering another one as a backup/spare. I would personally like to see a longer overall cord as well. That is the one thing I still love about the LSV.

Now the good part...the vapor. This thing is a fantastic vapor producer. It covers the spectrum from low temp vaping to acting as an e-lighter for combusters. I vape at a fairly high temp and it has no problems keeping up and then some. Airflow is a tough one for me, the LSV is too open and the Solo is too restricted. Well the nano falls right between them...its perfect. Large hits through the Leviathan lattice are effortless and satisfying. Taste is incredible, I'm vaping mexibrick right now and even that tastes amazing with the nano. There isn't much technique needed which is very different from the LSV and one of the main things I love about it. Pack bowl, place on waterpipe, place nano on bowl, breathe in, blow out, smile. Simple...just the way I like it. :)

The only major issue I have with the nano besides the horrible power cord is that the temp control seems to vary a bit. When I first got it I would run it at 7 and would get the vapor quality I like and no combustion, then after a couple months I would combust occasionally at that level. So I bumped down to 6.5 and that was fine for a few more months and now its combusting at that so I have to run it at 6. It makes me a little concerned about the long term viability of my nano mostly because I would really hate to be without it for any amount of time. It would be difficult going back to using the Solo or LSV full time.

One last note on the hardware I received with the nano. I got 2 glass screen stems and one 18mm GonG adapter that I ordered extra. All of the pieces looked good out of the box and I enjoyed the GonG a lot since I primarily vape through water. Problem is that after a few months the GonG developed a crack during normal use. I know glass is temperamental so I don't really hold it against Andy but it has made me leery of ordering another one.

On a closing note the nano is a great log vape with a few flaws but an overall performance that is way more positive than negative. If you're looking for a log vape with good airflow that is efficient and offers great vapor production then look no further.

If your like me you have 80 grams or more of Flower strains that become drier in time so the heating setting declines?
Is it your Medicine drying out?

If this is the case try keeping less inventory.
6.5 is my setting for shredded flowers.
I go as high as 7.5 with whole ungrounded flower.

The SOLO I love.
However for flavor the NANO is hard to beat!
I will have a second one for back up from some exotic wood I have.

I wish I had that much on hand. I'm sure the quality of your stuff is way better too. :(

I'm lucky if I can grab an oz of mexibrick to last a couple weeks.

Although I don't recommend leaving any electrical device on while you are asleep. I leave my Nano(s) on 24/7. You won't hurt it.

Thank you for the honest review.
The cord has been upgraded to a softer rubber which mitigates some of the moving around.
As far as the temps go, one possiblilyt is he warmer the ambient tempurature (summer) the lower the dial temps needed for vapor production. It's all analog, and ambient temps make a big difference. Post an update in the winter!

Thanks for the response!

That totally makes sense especially with the way it changed very gradually yet it never even crossed my mind. Derp!

Loved my E-Nano last night! A few questions though:

1.) What kind of cheap bubbler do you all recommend for the E-Nano? I have the Infamous knock off vapor bubbler but the air flow isn't that good. Is there another mouth piece or j hook to replace the standard mouth piece for better airflow on the Infamous bubbler?

2.) How do you prop up the glass stem when not in use to keep it from rolling around or spilling herb?

3.) Can you vape concentrates, hash, or resin with the E-Nano?

4.) How do you stir the herb in the stem without spilling herb and how full do you pack it? I set mine between 6 and 7 and brown the rest while the top surface gets a little black.

5.) Do Hydratubes from Pinnacle or Vapexhale Cloud work with the E-Nano?

6.) Any different experience with mids versus chronic? Even with mids they produce clouds like I'm vaping chronic and still hits me like a train and leaves me thoroughly medicated :D

7.) Any other ways to accessorize or upgrade my E-Nano?

Got a day off tomorrow, cannot wait to be so lazy, sleep in, and get medicated as all hell lol!

1. I prefer anything where the GonG joint is far away form my face. So nothing small. A nice beaker or straight tube is always perfect.

2.pencil or pen holder

3.yes. Anything that Melts use organic cotton. Or sandwich between herb.

4. Toothpick

5.yes. Anything with a GonG joint is easily mated.

6. Differences yes. But it doesn't really matter in the end. That part is up to you!

7. I like to keep it simple. I only use the all glass stem and use a ring of silicone to attach to water tools. Some people like everything under the sun! A nice beaker I think would go nice with your set up. You may find your infamous too small.

I use the plastic cap that comes on the carry tube. Slip the large end over the stem, after it has cooled a few moments. Set it down. :)

Never mind about what I said earlier about the Infamous bubbler not being good enough.

Leave the E-Nano on for a while at a 7 (when it feels toasty to hold in your hands) and then vape through a bubbler with a nicely packed GonG. I almost get a little freaked out since I've never seen clouds that thick or strong or fast before and I believe it just has to be smoke. Nope, just crazy clouds in here! ;pd;:p:spliff:

Just passing time
It took me a day or two to realize that a warmup at 10 or a prolonged heatup at my temperature is necessary for the E-Nano to work optimally. I wondered why my vapor was much more thin and inconsistent than I expected, and that definitely solved my issue. I'm still impressed every day at the crazy clouds it puts out.

I mean, yes, you can actually start to vape at 2 minutes (which is still great relative to a lot of vapes), but the real power is at >= 10 minutes since it really blows out unreal clouds. It's like meeting someone you only see on TV for the first time lol
