Yeah I've got a couple of stir sticks, a couple of cooling units, extra o-rings & screens.
edit: looks like I'm not the only one that thinks they're fucked up
edit2: Fair warning for any prospective purchasers in the USA; you may have better luck than I with S&B's warranty coverage if you can avoid using your battery, or usb port, because they aren't covered and are reportedly prone to failure (from numerous reviews).
Crafty and Mighty owners in the USA don’t get the same protections as they do in Europe and Australia, because Storz & Bickel can get away with substandard service by law. Their warranty coverage: “does not include defects due to normal wear and tear”. That’s verbatim. Batteries, which are covered for two years overseas, aren’t covered at all. And if your USB port stops connecting they will charge you for a whole new exchange. It seems the only way S&B portables are covered in the USA is if they aren’t used
I'd be pissed off too.
I once had a claim and was charged for new battery (S&B America), though under my mild protest they did reduce the fee slightly. I got a new Crafty and was 'happy enough' to have one back.
Maybe a reasonable push back from an unhappy customer might yield a better outcome.
We see you are upset, but I think you are over-stating S&B's unworthiness.
It's the difference in protection laws that is the problem, not the myriad businesses that function under those laws. Americans love to think of the U.S. as a business-friendly country, so this is what we have; laws that often favor the corporation's interests over our own. So Europeans and Australians and maybe others get better coverage than US customers.
The graphic from BBB looks impressive and shocking to me, since on several occasions I've had excellent service. On the BBB website, it says that to be accredited a business has to apply, be accepted and pay an annual fee. There's no indication that S&B has applied. The dramatic "F" rating is based on only 4 inquiries made about complaints filed in past 3 years to which S&B chose not to respond. It looks to me like S&B's greatest fault was ignoring the BBB.
I am sympathetic to your trouble with this vape, so lightly used. Someone at S&B has made a really bad call this time, regardless of the protection laws. They
always have discretion. Sounds like you're done with them, so that's unfortunate. I have a feeling that with further communication (not of the irate nature, who responds well to that treatment?) they would make you whole, to use an insurance term.
(* the 'key' to a Mighty upgrade is having a warrant-able issue with Crafty. When I had to buy a new battery in Crafty, I was not 'eligible', but when that one flashed lights, bingo, for sixty bucks I had a Mighty.)
