Closed Column Extraction Sight Glass - filter blowout?

Would adding a sight glass below the material tube/coffee filter/gasket w/filter and above the end cap allow the material to breach the gasket/filter under pressure/vacuum? I was looking at a 2" tri clamp sight glass adding about 2-3 inches of height inline to view the contents prior to purge. If this is not advisable what is another method people have used to successfully view this other than visually coming out of the bottom? The reason is the bottom end cap/valve/barb are not that high off the ground with the stand connected and I don't think it will be easy to determine the color with a small distance to travel.

I forgot to mention this is a de-waxing column so the pressure will be lower. I'm curious to know either way of anybody's experience with this.
