ITS HERE !
It took a few minutes and reading the whole manual for the controller.
I plugged it in, turned it on and let it heat up. It was on 300 I was not sure F or C..
I turned the knob with no success back to 300*f
I pushed in and turned.....
So I read the manual, and reset all the parameters.
Now we have 666*
I put .1 g of Ice cream something.
Heater on,, Draw.......
Nothing. Bud still green, no clouds in piece.
Check with infrared thermometer. About 200* less than on the box.
I know its the temp AT the coil.
SO, turn it up 50, try again...again.... Up to 899*. Nothing. Green bud in the bowl.
Then I stopped drawing and hit it a little bit. BINGO! MILK.
Still @ 899, so when I pulled the bowl off, I had a couple little sparklers. Cleaned everything, start over,
Back to 710 for now. Working as it should, just a learning curve for me.
I am amazed, its all they said.
Looking at the small stand, the bowl will sit in it, so I am getting another post and adding it to my base. I will drill the hole in deep so the post is shorter than the center one.
My shovelhead had a real loose set screw, the threads are about 30% contact. The little handle wiggles all over.
I was thinking about the B 1 head. I am fine for now. The best improvement is to learn to use it.
Carb cap makes a difference @ 710. Bigger clouds. I used a piece of silicone and had to pull the edge up a little to let some air in., so I need a cap with a small hole in it. Probably calls for some research tonight.
I added an ash catcher so I could see the vapor for draw speed.
Looking for a glass bowl. ,880 max OD.
